Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

”Kaidō.”

Enduring the pain caused by the stimulation of his damaged chakra pathways while performing the Ninjutsu, Seiryū cast Kaidō on his left arm.

After nearly a month of recuperation, the chakra pathways in his body had mostly healed and were no longer as severe as they had been at the beginning.

Although he still felt a stinging pain from the chakra stimulation during the technique’s execution, it was within a tolerable range.

At least the technique would not be interrupted because of the pain.

Many Medical Ninjutsu can be used to heal oneself.

The most typical one is the Cell Regeneration Technique.

Before being attacked, one predicts the area that is about to be struck and takes preventive measures in advance. After being injured, the recovery speed of the wound is accelerated.

Kaidō can naturally heal oneself as well.

It manifested as a faint green light.

It flowed from Seiryū’s fingertips onto his left arm.

”Kaidō really is Medical Ninjutsu. Since I have also mastered the Yang Release nature, and all the conditions are met, I can perform it smoothly.”

Looking at his left arm, which was emitting a faint green glow, Seiryū thought to himself.

Hadō is roughly equivalent to Ninjutsu, Bakudō is roughly equivalent to Sealing Techniques, and Kaidō naturally has similarities with Medical Ninjutsu.

That is only logical.

It did not exceed Seiryū’s expectations.

Carefully sensing his left arm being healed by Kaidō, Seiryū nodded inwardly. ”It feels similar to being treated with the chakra of the Mystical Palm Technique, warm and comfortable.”

”However, the recovery effect is stronger. It would not be an exaggeration to call it an enhanced version.”

Because Seiryū had also mastered the Mystical Palm Technique, he could clearly tell the difference.

The healing effect of Kaidō was much stronger than that of the Mystical Palm Technique.

It was an enhanced version.

”And its nature is gentler. It is not about accelerating healing by stimulating body cells, but more like directly repairing the injury.”

Seiryū noticed another difference.

Ordinary Medical Ninjutsu accelerates recovery through chakra stimulation and cell activation.

For example, if there is a knife wound on the arm, even without Medical Ninjutsu, the wound would slowly heal over time.

Medical Ninjutsu simply shortens the recovery period.

But Kaidō does not accelerate the healing process. It directly repairs the wound and covers it.

Continuing with the knife wound analogy, Medical Ninjutsu uses chakra to stimulate cell activation, allowing newly grown cells and flesh to fill the wound. Kaidō, on the other hand, is like finding a piece of flesh from elsewhere to directly fill and cover the wound.

One relies on internal factors, the other resembles an external repair.

Therefore, Kaidō might truly be able to achieve effects such as limb regeneration.

Seiryū marveled, ”Is the effect really this heaven defying?”

”No, wait. The effect is indeed good, but is the recovery speed too slow?”

He frowned slightly.

The effect of Kaidō was excellent.

He could clearly sense the damaged chakra pathways in his left arm recovering bit by bit.

It was just that the speed was somewhat slow.

Seiryū began to ponder. ”Is it because the chakra output is too low?”

No matter the technique, proficiency and chakra output affect its power.

Seiryū was not worried about proficiency. Almost all the Kidō he obtained from the system were at full mastery, and he thoroughly understood their principles and applications.

The slow healing speed of Kaidō was most likely due to insufficient chakra output.

”If that is the reason, it will not be easy for me to solve it right now.”

Seiryū slowly exhaled.

With his chakra pathways damaged, he was already enduring pain just to perform Kaidō.

The amount of chakra he had output earlier was not much.

He could not continue increasing the chakra output now, as it might worsen the injury.

”Forget it. I will go find the bad woman. Medical chakra can reduce the burden, and maybe it will allow me to increase my chakra output.”

After thinking it through, Seiryū decided to find Tsunade.

It was now the end of July.

He had been injured for nearly a month, and during this time, he had done nothing but recover.

He spent most of his days at home.

He had also finished reading all the medical books Tsunade had collected.

He had learned a great deal of medical knowledge.

Medical chakra has many subtle uses, such as reducing the burden on the chakra pathways.

However, such precise chakra control could only be achieved by a top Medical Ninja.

Tsunade could definitely do it.

Seiryū had never doubted her prowess in Medical Ninjutsu.

Leaving the room, Seiryū said to Kurenai, who was sitting on the sofa watching TV, ”Kurenai, let’s go find the bad woman together.”

Kurenai looked surprised. ”Eh? At this time?”

”There is something I need her help with.”

”What is it?”

Seiryū said, ”There has been some progress with the new Medical Ninjutsu. I want to discuss it with her.”

Kurenai’s eyes widened in shock. ”W What? There is already progress? It has been less than a month, right? Does that mean I lost the bet?”

Seiryū was speechless. ”Why is your focus so strange?”

Kurenai pursed her lips. ”Can I back out? For the sake of being your cute little sister, let’s just cancel the bet, okay?”

Seiryū refused firmly. ”No way. You have to accept your loss. Just like before, whoever loses becomes the junior. You lost, so you are the little sister. You lost this time too, so go wash my feet.”

Kurenai huffed in dissatisfaction. ”You do not act like an older brother at all. You do not even know how to give in to your cute little sister.”

”Like I said, even siblings should settle their accounts clearly.”

”Humph.”

Seiryū raised an eyebrow at her. ”Are you going or not? If not, I will go by myself.”

Kurenai stood up and grumbled, ”I am going. I did not say I was not.”

The two of them walked out together and headed straight to Tsunade’s home.

After a while, they arrived.

Taking out the key, Seiryū opened the door and walked in with Kurenai, then shouted, ”Bad woman, are you here? I need your help with something.”

Calling it his other home was not a joke.

”Oh, it is Seiryū and Kurenai.”

Hearing the voice, Shizune came out of the study and gave an awkward smile. ”Tsunade-sama is not at home right now. She probably went to the casino.”

Seiryū fell silent.

Kurenai also fell silent.

They were already used to her habits.

Because Seiryū was recovering from his injuries, Tsunade had plenty of free time and had not resumed her duties as a Jōnin Instructor.

Now, aside from occasionally going to the Konoha Hospital to earn some extra money, she spent most of her time at the casino.

The title of The Legendary Sucker had spread throughout Konoha’s casinos.

Her reputation preceded her.

During the past month, several casinos in Konoha had made a fortune.

They wished that The Legendary Sucker, Tsunade-sama, would visit their casinos every day to give them money.
