”Stay behind me. I will protect you and won’t let anything happen to you!”

Watching the four masked monsters approach, Tsunade instructed Seiryū and the other two.

However, her heart felt heavy.

Her mind raced as she desperately searched for a way to escape.

Although it was only a probing attack, she had already determined that the opponent was no ordinary Shinobi.

His strength far exceeded that of a typical Konoha Jōnin.

He was not someone easy to deal with.

If she were alone, she might still have a chance to kill him.

But now she had to protect Seiryū and the others.

Up ahead.

Kakuzu used the Body Flicker Technique to close the distance, his dark green eyes filled with amusement. ”Nothing will happen? If it were your grandfather, he might be able to manage that, but you can’t!”

As soon as he finished speaking, Kakuzu threw a punch. His wrist separated from his arm, connected only by black threads, and his fist shot toward Tsunade like a cannonball.

The angle was strange, yet the force behind it was anything but weak.

With the Earth Grudge Fear secret technique activated, Kakuzu’s body was held together by black threads, allowing parts of it to detach freely.

This made his attacks even more unpredictable and dangerous.

”Get back!”

Tsunade shouted.

Her fighting style was bold and direct. Facing the incoming fist, she threw out a punch of her own.

In an instant, her Chakra surged and erupted, turning into overwhelming monstrous strength.

Bang!

The two fists collided with a dull thud.

Clearly, Tsunade’s monstrous strength was superior, instantly crushing Kakuzu’s momentum.

There were very few people in the entire Shinobi World who could match her in a direct clash of fists.

Kakuzu’s fist flew back even faster than it had come, and dragged by the black threads, his entire body was pulled back several steps.

”Such incredible power.”

Flipping in midair, Kakuzu landed steadily on a protruding rock and shook his slightly aching right arm.

His dark green eyes turned serious.

As expected of the First Hokage’s granddaughter, her strength truly could not be underestimated.

However, his attack had only just begun.

”Wind Release: Pressure Damage!”

”Lightning Release: False Darkness!”

”Fire Release: Intelligent Hard Work!”

”Water Release: Water Formation Wall!”

Kakuzu formed hand seals and spoke calmly.

At the same time, the masked monsters surrounding the four seemed to move under his control.

They opened their mouths, and the Chakra fluctuations around them became extremely intense.

Shinobi, especially powerful ones, exert an overwhelming pressure when performing Ninjutsu.

In the original situation, when facing Kakashi and Zabuza performing Ninjutsu, even Uchiha Sasuke had moments when his body stiffened and he could not move.

Even without sensory abilities, Kurenai and Shizune’s faces had already turned pale, intimidated by the sheer pressure.

Seiryū muttered inwardly, ’As expected of a Kage-level expert. Just performing Ninjutsu carries such presence.’

Although he was not as shaken as Kurenai and Shizune, Seiryū also felt an invisible pressure envelop his entire body.

Fortunately, it was still within his tolerance.

The problem was how he was supposed to complete the new task issued by the system.

Kill Kakuzu here?

Impossible.

He did not have that kind of strength right now.

Even Tsunade might not be able to accomplish it.

What they needed to do now was find a way to escape. That should not be too difficult, right?

Tsunade, this troublesome woman, was not weak.

Boom, boom, boom, boom!

Wind, Lightning, Fire, Water!

Four types of Ninjutsu were launched from different directions.

They surrounded Tsunade and the others, leaving no room to dodge.

Although they were not combined into a composite technique, being cast simultaneously by a Kage-level expert like Kakuzu, they still carried overwhelming power.

The four Ninjutsu closed in from all sides.

Kurenai and Shizune’s faces were pale, and their eyes were filled with fear.

A sense of helplessness rose within them.

This was completely different from the minor skirmishes at the Academy.

This was Ninjutsu performed by a truly powerful Shinobi. The sheer pressure alone made them lose the will to resist.

On this side, Seiryū muttered again, ’I wonder if my Thunder Roar Cannon has this kind of power?’

A casual Ninjutsu already carried such presence.

A Kage-level expert truly deserved the title.

He wondered if he could withstand an attack from such an expert now.

The power of Thunder Roar Cannon, a 63rd-ranked mid-to-high-level Bakudō, was not weak.

If the attack came from a single direction, perhaps he could block it.

Tsunade instructed Seiryū, ”Seiryū, take care of them. Do not worry. As long as I am alive, I will not let anything happen to you!”

After all, Kurenai and Shizune were only Genin who had recently graduated and lacked experience.

Facing a multi-layered Ninjutsu assault from a top-tier expert of the Shinobi World, it was normal for them to panic and feel afraid.

But what was going on with this kid Seiryū?

Not only did he not look afraid or panicked, he did not even seem nervous.

Instead, he looked slightly eager.

”Oh, okay. I have always trusted you.”

Seiryū nodded. His expression remained calm, without worry or fear, as if he did not understand what fear was.

Tsunade glanced at him and felt that Seiryū’s condition was not entirely bad.

At least he would not lose his composure due to fear or panic.

Perhaps in his eyes, as long as she was there, everything would be fine.

Seiryū seemed to have blind confidence in her.

This kid had his cute side too.

In that case, she would not fail the trust he placed in her.

”Summoning Technique!”

Biting her thumb, Tsunade formed hand seals and pressed her palm against the ground.

Poof!

White smoke rose, and a massive slug appeared in the center of the battlefield.

Boom, boom, boom, boom!

The four Ninjutsu struck simultaneously, yet they failed to cause significant damage to the enormous slug.

”That hurts a little.”

Feeling the pain from her body, the slug Tsunade had summoned frowned slightly.

Who summoned her just to block an attack?

What kind of contractor used the Summoning Technique like this?

Then, sensing a familiar Chakra fluctuation, the slug paused.

”Eh, this Chakra is...”

Turning her long eyes upward, she said in surprise, ”It really is Tsunade-sama. Have you overcome your hemophobia?”

Katsuyu was a fragment of the Katsuyu Sage.

In a sense, she was an avatar of the Katsuyu Sage.

However, the Katsuyu Sage had a gentle personality and was accustomed to using honorifics. It was also a sign of her recognition of Tsunade that she addressed her with sama.

Since Tsunade had summoned her, then it was acceptable.

”Yes, Katsuyu-sama.”

Tsunade responded politely, also addressing her with sama.

Then she said in a serious tone, ”Katsuyu-sama, please protect these three children and make sure they are not harmed.”

Katsuyu nodded slightly and said gently, ”I will protect them. You can fight without worry.”

Being summoned by a contractor meant the contractor was in battle.

In addition, she had mastered Senjutsu and possessed strong sensory abilities, so she already understood the situation.
