Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Without electricity, we cannot operate the mobile switch blade, provide heating, lighting, or even maintain the underground farms......

You could say that electricity is the core of the Big Camphor Tree Base.

Li Yu thought for a moment, then said to everyone, ”Currently, the power supplied by the Zombie Generator actually has some surplus, so let’s temporarily place the Zombie Generator in the Second Outer City.”

”As for the Third Outer City, whether the residential area should be built and how much to build, I don’t have any ideas yet. The key is that some factories definitely need to be added inside.

Okay, let’s first build the walls, and once they’re up, we should have a clear plan for the layout of the Third Outer City.”

Second Uncle thought it made sense, especially since the walls haven’t been built yet.

They certainly need to build the walls first before thinking about constructing any of the six-sided structures.

If the walls aren’t built, what can we do if zombies come in the night or during heavy rain?

Li Yu’s proposal received unanimous approval from everyone.

As of now, the Third Outer City will definitely have a plantation and a training ground; other details can be decided once the walls are built or in progress.

The group discussed the issues related to the Third Outer City for over an hour.

Soon.

Everyone reached a conclusion regarding this matter.

Li Yu finally allocated tasks to everyone: ”Let’s summarize the construction plan for the Third Outer City.

First, Third Uncle, you’ll lead a team to Guang Province to look for a steel factory by then.

Second, Ding Jiu, list all the materials needed like stones, sand, cement, and so on. Once compiled, distribute it to everyone. He Chao, once you receive the list from Ding Jiu, you can coordinate with Xiao Hang to assign tasks to the extra and cooperative personnel.

Xiao Yuan, Yutong, and Ding Jiu, you also prepare your respective statistics.

Third, An Ya, you’ll face a lot of pressure on the plantation front, but luckily our base has harvesters. You can also train some plantation specialists at the same time.

....

Everyone took notes based on the tasks assigned by Li Yu.

”Alright, now that the matters of the Third Outer City are decided, are there any other topics?” Li Yu clapped his hands and said.

Dapao raised his hand.

”Go ahead,” Li Yu looked at him and said.

”Well, Hai Chao and Gao Ru are still in the interrogation room,” Dapao said.

The group was initially bewildered, taking a while to remember that these were the two people brought back from Orange Continent.

They were alive, but just barely holding on.

The food supplied to them was barely more than pig feed, mostly chaff and a few other things.

The amount of food provided to each was less than a fifth of what a pig would eat in a day.

Since there was uncertainty if they would be needed later, they were kept barely alive.

But the two of them were almost unable to walk and had become extremely weak from hunger.

Second Uncle, hearing this, also spoke up, ”Xiao Yu, when you went to Orange Continent before, there was also the Western Alliance. Do you think they will find out that we wiped out those at Orange Continent? What’s your view on this?”

Li Yu had considered this, but at the time, natural disasters were just about to break out. Through the interrogation of Gao Ru and Hai Chao, he had roughly understood the Western Alliance’s strength.

But it was over a thousand kilometers away; such a long distance.

Moreover, from Gao Ru’s mouth, he understood there were tens of thousands of them.

Hence, he decided not to take offensive action. Firstly, it’s too far; any issue along the way or a Zombie Tide would spell disaster and wipe them out.”

Secondly, he knew that with the impending natural disasters, and based on his understanding of the Doomsday and information from Gao Ru about the Western Alliance’s wall height and food storage.

Even if they aren’t affected by floods due to their location, they would still suffer heavy casualties from such severe rain.

Let alone, there were simultaneous high temperatures, cold, and volcanic eruptions.

Food shortages alone could severely constrain them.

Their population could be a significant burden.

Li Yu didn’t need to attack proactively; by waiting, he could weaken their strength over time.

However, if in the span of half a year, they went a long distance to attack, the manpower and resources used would be enormous; it’s not like before the Doomsday. The bad road conditions, dangerous environments, and travel costs would be a major expense.

Sending a large group means a complex logistical issue like fuel supply.

Sending a small group means the chances of success diminish.

Therefore, he chose not to attack proactively, instead waiting for time to gradually weaken them.

According to Li Yu, the most important thing is the strength of oneself. Continuously strengthening the base is the top priority.

Hearing Second Uncle’s question, Li Yu hesitated for a bit and said, ”Like I mentioned before, it’s nearly two thousand kilometers away, too far, and the consumption too great, filled with uncertainties on the way. Going to Guang Province is only about 400 kilometers.

My thought is to enhance our reconnaissance capabilities, increase control over Xin City and even Gan City, so that if they enter our sphere of influence, we can detect them.

This way, if they dare to come, we can swiftly eliminate them.”

The group was somewhat stunned; back when the Doomsday broke out, Li Yu would directly lead teams to eliminate any threatening forces to the base without hesitation.
