Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Chapter 626: Chapter 529: Just Do It!_2

Li Yu nodded and said, ”Agreed, he agreed to go with us, but I feel it’s not very safe.

At that time, Third Uncle, Uncle Luo, I hope you all can go together. My original plan was to kill them all.

But they also have firearms, and most of them are military personnel. If we confront them directly, we will surely have casualties.

Now that we know there are internal conflicts among them, there is no need to be aggressive. Let’s divide them first.”

Third Uncle and Uncle Luo nodded, indicating no problem.

Li Yu turned his head and said to He Chao, ”Are our people still watching them?”

He Chao nodded and said, ”Yes, Director Li, we still have two brothers observing them.”

Li Yu hummed, then said to everyone, ”Those soldiers, if we can win them over, win them over. If not, everyone should be prepared for battle.

As for those young people from the pharmaceutical companies, they must die!”

The last three words were decisive.

He had already thought of the worst plan—if the soldiers were going to protect those people at all costs, he would definitely need to take them down.

Recently, many people had joined the base.

Today, when everyone was present, Uncle Luo, Uncle Bi had joined the base for some time now. The missions they have carried out proved their acceptance of the base.

Li Yu planned to re-integrate the current strength of the base.

Divided into four combat groups.

Li Yu led Dapao, Yang Tianlong, Li Tie, Li Gang, and others, totaling 35 people.

Third Uncle led Lai Dongsheng, Uncle Luo, Uncle Bi, Uncle Yi, Uncle Qin, and others, totaling 60 people.

Uncle led Uncle Lü, Uncle Xie, and others, totaling 25 people.

He Chao led his group of brothers, mainly responsible for external material collection and support in combat, totaling 25 people.

There were four external combat groups in total, totaling 145 people.

In addition, there was a support group primarily maintaining the security of the base, also totaling 60 people.

Second Uncle led the first group of people in the base, such as Li Haoran, Li Haoxian, Li Zhengping, Liu Jinglue, Song Qi, among others, totaling 25 people.

Ding Jiu and those workers, along with He Bing and others, were responsible for the construction and maintenance of the base, equipment repair, and combat support, totaling 35 people.

Moreover, there were some responsible for agriculture, breeding production, scientific research, and others who were not only doing their main jobs but also rotated shifts to undertake base guard duty and possessed combat capabilities.

After this distribution, Second Uncle and others had no objections, Uncle Luo and Uncle Qin, and others also had no objections, as in their eyes, Third Uncle was like a god.

Having Third Uncle lead them was most effective in stabilizing them.

Additionally, this structure was just a division of the management system, sorting into groups, but if we go out on missions, who goes out can still be adjusted.

The personnel in each group were not fixed.

For instance, the last time, Li Yu took Uncle Luo and others out, and personnel selection could be based on the mission.

Having clarified the system, everyone had a clear understanding in their hearts.

After discussing all these matters with everyone, Li Yu said to Third Uncle, ”We are going out tomorrow. That being said, I will take a group of 35 people to negotiate with them first tomorrow. Third Uncle, you take the second group of 60 people and prepare in secret.

If the negotiations do not go well, and their attitude is firm on protecting those people, then I will temporarily stabilize them, withdraw, and pretend to leave, blocking their path forward as they depart.

Once they let their guard down and begin to leave, then we will strike both from within and outside to deal with them.”

Third Uncle hesitated for a moment but did not refuse, nodding and agreeing.

Those present, like Uncle Luo, had some changes in their expressions, wanting to express their opinions, feeling that this might be somewhat unethical.

Uncle, who came from the Armed Police, spoke up directly, ”After all, they were also military personnel and were exploited by those people. Is there a better way? I feel that this approach seems somewhat unethical.”

These were also the words that Uncle Luo wanted to say, as he looked intently at Li Yu, eager to hear what he would say.

Li Yu sighed deeply and said, ”Bullets do not discriminate; everyone’s life is very important, and I do not want to take risks.

If it weren’t for He Chao and Yu Lei, who said that those soldiers and the people from the pharmaceutical companies had conflicts, I would consider negotiating with them.

Otherwise, I would not even consider communication and would just kill them.

Yu Lei was wounded; they came here to collect supplies and even drove Yu Lei and his companions away. This is our territory. By doing so, did they not consider offending others?

What does this mean? They simply do not care, or rather, those people from the pharmaceutical companies do not care.

Since there are conflicts of interest, a larger conflict would erupt sooner or later.

Rather than waiting for the conflict to escalate later, it’s better to deal with them early and not give them a chance to respond.

Should we wait for the enemy to come knocking before we fight them?”

In the apocalypse, there is no justice. There are only interests.

We are all flesh and blood; a single bullet can end our lives.

Uncle, I don’t want to kill, but it is for everyone’s life.

I don’t want to risk the life of any of us.

In my eyes, all their lives are not worth any of yours.

...

Silence.

Everyone fell quiet.

Li Yu was right, everyone understood this principle, especially in this apocalyptic world, with constant shortages of food and natural disasters.

For one force to cooperate with another, the leaders of both forces must first reach an agreement.

However, it was clear that the Western Alliance controlled by this pharmaceutical company was not one of them.

Their ability to seize supplies and injure our people already said it all.

It’s not to say how those soldiers were, but at least, from what we see now, those people from the pharmaceutical company will eventually become enemies.

Old Luo pondered deeply, his heart felt heavy.

The world was not as beautiful as he thought, he knew that, but in his heart, he still harbored the hope of unity and human cooperation.

But whether it was the people at Furong Mountain or later Xie Weishan and others who defected due to food,

Or the Corpse Speakers, they all slapped him hard on the face.

Li Yu was right, but it was painful to accept.

Because he was right, it was painful.

All for the sake of surviving.

Everyone understood Li Yu’s thinking.

No one spoke again.

Perhaps Li Yu’s decision was cruel and cold, not considering from a higher human perspective.

But damn it, this is the apocalypse, a food-scarce, harsh apocalypse.

In such a severe environment for survival.

If there really needs to be collaboration, it relies not on smiles and goodwill, but on strength.

....

After setting the basic action plan for tomorrow, he let everyone leave.

Li Yu specifically asked Dapao and Old Luo to stay.

Ma Di’s room was between the two of them.

Although Ma Di had joined the base, Li Yu did not have full control over him at the moment.

Being genuine to others he could manage, but he still needed to be cautious.

Like He Chao, why he trusted him so much, apart from He Chao’s character, it was also because He Chao’s daughter was studying in the Inner City.

He Chao also gladly accepted it, as he could enter the Inner City at any time, and his daughter was relatively safe there. Moreover, they were all saved by Li Yu.

”Recently, I will need you to observe Ma Di and watch his movements,” Li Yu said to the two.

Dapao and Old Luo nodded, indicating they understood.

Li Yu said, ”Alright, you guys go back and rest early, we need to go out tomorrow.”

The two left.

Li Yu stayed in the duty room, with Second Uncle and Third Uncle there.

The three smoked.

Out of the blue, Second Uncle said to Li Yu, ”A community of shared interests, in this kind of situation, Xiao Yu, you shouldn’t feel too much pressure, you are doing the right thing.”

Li Yu forced a wry smile and said, ”I know.”

Third Uncle stood up, twisted his waist, and said indifferently, ”No need to think too much, it’s all come to this point, even the Government has vanished. Now, it’s like the ancient Warring States, no need to hesitate. Just do it.”

Seeing Third Uncle so carefree, Li Yu suddenly laughed.
