Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Chapter 621: Chapter 527: Return to the City, Hearing about the Western Alliance Again! _3

However, those military personnel have guns. By all logic, they could completely ignore what those young men say.

Yet, for some reason, they still seem to be protecting those young men. There must be an issue.

”Western Alliance.” Li Yu muttered to himself.

Second Uncle and the others noticed Li Yu thinking and did not interrupt him.

In fact, Second Uncle had already thought about this earlier on that day.

In the post-apocalyptic world, other powers would definitely exist, which is why he had been persuading Li Yu to strengthen and enlarge the base.

In Li Yu’s mind, thoughts were racing—Western Alliance.

If it was indeed a very large and powerful group, why only now did they come here?

Moreover, why had he heard some people in the provincial capital city looking forward to the Western Alliance?

They felt that once they reached there, it would be safe, with food and clothing.

Ha!

Li Yu was well aware that there must be a deception.

It’s the end of the world, how could it be so easy to feed so many people?

Besides, the more people there are, the more zombies they attract during heavy rains.

A base of a hundred people, during heavy rain, the scent of humans emitted is enough to attract thousands of zombies.

A base of a thousand people, during heavy rain, would see the number of zombies coming in increase exponentially, possibly tens of thousands, maybe even over a hundred thousand.

A base of ten thousand people might attract as many as five hundred thousand zombies.

People need to eat; bullets will run out.

And as for zombies, they seem to be endless!

Western Alliance?

Alliance?

Li Yu suddenly understood something. The reason it’s called an alliance might be because it’s dispersed.

And once it’s dispersed, it implies that the alliance is not stable.

What’s most important in a post-apocalyptic world? Strength is most important.

Perhaps, those military personnel are bound by something, or the young men hold some leverage over them.

It could be a sense of responsibility, a mission, or something else.

But to Li Yu, none of that matters.

He is a thug.

Anyone who dares to provoke him will have to pay a bitter price.

Inside and outside the base, in Outer City, to stabilize development, the population has been controlled.

Just around three hundred.

But on the Xin City side, there have been many partnerships. After so many collaborations, these people all consider themselves part of Big Camphor Tree Base.

After all, Big Camphor Tree provides them with food, though they have to exchange for it, and the food is not abundant.

And for those nearly two hundred Extra Staff, their sense of belonging to Big Camphor Tree Base is even stronger.

They have already been recognized by Big Camphor Tree Base, and each person receives a certain amount of food distribution every month, even if they don’t do any tasks, there is still a small monthly ration.

Although they can’t be filled up with it, food is something akin to a basic salary for them.

They can still exchange food with the base by doing tasks.

Yu Lei’s Contribution Points have almost reached the requirements for Extra Staff.

He is about to become an Extra Staff and receive a basic salary.

How could I allow others to sleep soundly on the edge of my bed?

These Extra Staff, if needed by Li Yu, can be entirely pulled together to fight.

After all, they share common interests.

Li Yu thought for a moment and felt he should make the situation of that group clearer.

So he looked towards Second Uncle and asked, ”What do you all think?”

Second Uncle’s eyes flickered as he said:

”We still haven’t completely figured out where they came from; they have firearms. Based on what He Chao and his team said, I think we should clarify the relationship between those military men and those young gentlemen before making a move.”

Yang Tianlong scratched his head and said: ”I think it’s unnecessary to make it so complicated. Just take them down and then ask questions. Saves trouble.”

Third Uncle suddenly said: ”That one, I think I heard, in Xiao Hei’s room, Ma Di from the chemical plant mentioned the Western Alliance. Should we ask him first?”

Upon hearing this, a sharp light flashed in Li Yu’s eyes!
