Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

”BZZ... BZZ...”

In the Ten Thousand Insects Hall, Chu Sheng let out a series of weak buzzes, his sounds growing fainter and softer.

He struggled for three breaths.

Five breaths.

Ten breaths.

Finally.

His body completely lost its strength. His wings drooped limply, and his six legs splayed out weakly.

He could no longer maintain his Primitive Form—the body of that ordinary little black mosquito began to change.

Its black color faded, replaced by dark golden specks of light, a slender body, and wings as thin as a cicada’s.

The form of the Primordial Saint Mosquito.

This was his true form after evolving, but now, he was forced to reveal it.

Yet even after it appeared, he remained motionless.

He hung suspended in mid-air, frozen for an instant.

Then—

He plummeted straight down.

THUD.

He crashed to the ground.

Motionless.

His aura vanished.

At the same time,

the Wangu Mingjia Chi slowly descended, landing beside Chu Sheng’s corpse.

Its head slowly, fully, emerged from its carapace! There were no eyes on its head, only a circular mouthpiece—

It stared at Chu Sheng’s body as its mouthpiece slowly opened... like a blooming chrysanthemum, revealing dense, overlapping layers of fine teeth inside.

Then, it aimed for Chu Sheng’s head.

Ready to feast.

...

「Outside the Ancestral Hall.」

The square was deathly silent.

The clan leaders of the twelve branches sighed silently.

Despair appeared on the faces of every member of the Witch Race.

The Saint Mosquito was dead.

The final hope of the Witch Race was gone.

The clan leader of the Shebishi branch slowly shook his head, his voice hoarse.

”The Myrngu poison... is incurable.”

”That mosquito... is finished.”

In the crowd.

A small figure stared intently at the light screen.

Ah Yi.

Her whole body trembled, her eyes brimming with tears, but she bit her lip hard to keep from crying out.

”Lord Saint Mosquito... won’t lose...”

She murmured, her voice barely audible.

”Lord Saint Mosquito... definitely won’t lose...”

Tears streamed down her cheeks.

She raised a hand, desperately wiping them away.

But for every tear she wiped away, two more would flow.

”He won’t lose... He won’t lose...”

She repeated it over and over, her voice trembling more and more as her tears flowed faster.

The people around her watched, some wanting to say something, but they could only open their mouths, unable to speak.

...

On the steps of the Holy Hall.

Yao stood motionless.

Her face was terrifyingly pale, and her hands were clenched so tightly that her nails nearly dug into her flesh.

Her gaze was fixed on the motionless Primordial Saint Mosquito lying on the ground in the light screen.

Then—she suddenly froze.

’Something’s wrong.’

’If the Saint Mosquito really died... then I would die too.’

She and Chu Sheng had a Blood Covenant.

’A master-servant Blood Covenant. If the master dies, the servant must perish.’

’But right now—’

Yao looked down at her hands.

Then she felt the aura within her body.

Nothing was wrong at all.

Her eyes suddenly lit up as she looked toward the blood-red light screen!

”Master... move!”

...

「Inside the Holy Hall.」

Chu Sheng remained motionless.

But the Wangu Mingjia Chi’s chrysanthemum-like mouthpiece had already bitten down... The mouthpiece was incredibly sharp, easily tearing off a piece of Chu Sheng’s flesh.

Blood flowed out.

The Wangu Mingjia Chi’s mouthpiece chewed, but then it suddenly stiffened and spat out the flesh.

Seemingly unsatisfied, it took another bite and spat it out again.

’Bzzz... Tastes wrong? No flavor, huh?’

Suddenly, a buzzing sound rang out in the darkness.

The Wangu Mingjia Chi froze for a second, then without any hesitation, it tried to rapidly retract its head into its shell.

However, it was too late!

Its head hadn’t even fully retracted before it froze on the spot.

Because.

a pale-golden proboscis had already pierced its body.

This proboscis was named: the God-devouring Needle.

The proboscis’s owner: the Immemorial Saint Mosquito... Chu Sheng.

...

The God-devouring Needle was the only Skill that hadn’t been renamed during the tenth complete evolution!

But that didn’t mean it hadn’t been upgraded!

One such upgrade was the ability to imbue it with the Power of Time upon piercing a target, immobilizing them while being drained!

Why was the flesh the Wangu Mingjia Chi ate flavorless?

Because it was merely a clone condensed from Mental Power—the Celestial Thunder Illusion!

In fact!

The one fighting the Wangu Mingjia Chi just now was the Celestial Thunder Illusion the entire time.

That’s right, the entire time!

Including the casting of the Nine Tribulations Thunder Prison!

The Celestial Thunder Illusion can use a portion of Chu Sheng’s abilities, especially Thunder Attribute Skills, which share the same origin.

The current Celestial Thunder Illusion inherits seventy percent of Chu Sheng’s normal strength!

At the same time, its ”realism” has been enhanced, making it even harder to distinguish from the real thing!

Not even an Emperor Realm expert could necessarily see through the deception. Previously, the Celestial Thunder Illusion would disappear if it was attacked and ”killed.”

But now, it possesses a realistic ”physical body.”

...

The Celestial Thunder Illusion... lost its battle against the Wangu Mingjia Chi.

This came as quite a surprise to Chu Sheng.

But, it was still within his plan.

’Winning would have been best.’

’But since it lost, wasn’t this what the real body was for?’

Without this whole act, given the Defense Power of the Wangu Mingjia Chi’s carapace and its cowardly habit of retreating into its shell at a moment’s notice, it would have been truly difficult for him to get a chance to suck it dry!

But now...

’Come on, let me see what kind of bug you really are.’

[Ding! Detected Essence Blood of the Wangu Mingjia Chi. This Essence Blood contains a portion of the Bloodline Power of an immemorial creature—the Mingjia Sheng Chi. Absorption in progress...]

’Wangu Mingjia Chi?’

’Mingjia Sheng Chi?’

’Hot damn, another immemorial creature. Too bad this one is probably just a mutated descendant.’

’The Bloodline Power of this Mingjia Sheng Chi is definitely inferior to the Mosquito Daoist’s; it didn’t even trigger a proactive system notification.’

’Still... it has ”Saint” in its name and it’s an immemorial bloodline, so it should be pretty good.’

’Being able to absorb Bloodline Power at all is already a great boon!’

...

Soon, Chu Sheng had drained every last drop of the Wangu Mingjia Chi’s Bloodline Power.

The Wangu Mingjia Chi, which had lived for nearly ten thousand years... was dead.

It provided Chu Sheng with... around 1,200,000 Qi Blood, 800,000 Mental Power, and, after digestion, 600,000 Evolution Points.

This much Qi Blood would have been a massive jackpot in the past!

But now, it was just a small boost.

[Current Qi Blood: 19,000,000 (King Realm Early Stage)]

[Current Mental Power: 19,000,000 (King Realm Early Stage)]

[Current Evolution Points: 1,500,000]

[Ding! Mingjia Sheng Chi Bloodline Power collection progress: 30%. A fusion evolution is available. Alternatively, you may choose to convert it into collection progress for the ”Six-winged Black Mosquito” bloodline.]

[Please make a selection, Host.]

Hearing the final prompt, Chu Sheng was slightly taken aback.

’It can do that?’

’I absorbed a clone of the Mosquito Daoist and only collected 1% of the ”Six-winged Black Mosquito” Bloodline Power.’

’But I absorb a descendant of the Mingjia Sheng Chi and get 30% of its Bloodline Power directly.’

’It’s obvious whose Bloodline Power is rarer!’

’It’s not that the Mingjia Sheng Chi is weak, but that the Six-winged Black Mosquito Daoist is on a completely different level.’

’How should I choose?’

Chu Sheng thought for a moment and ultimately chose the latter.

’After all, the Mosquito Daoist is the same species as me. Its bloodline evolution is a much better fit.’

’And that Wangu Mingjia Chi was just plain ugly!’

’Of course, the most important thing was... after his last bloodline fusion evolution with the Mosquito Daoist’s power, he had a faint feeling... that he was about to grow another pair of wings.’

’So... from now on, he planned to convert any absorbable Bloodline Power he found into collection progress for the ”Six-winged Black Mosquito.”’

”I choose to convert!”

[Ding! 30% collection progress for the Mingjia Sheng Chi Bloodline Power has been converted into 0.5% collection progress for the Six-winged Black Mosquito Bloodline Power.]

[Current Six-winged Black Mosquito bloodline collection progress: 1.5%. Next fusion evolution node: 5%.]

Having done all this, Chu Sheng rubbed his mosquito legs together. The dead Celestial Thunder Illusion vanished with a POP.

So, what was Chu Sheng’s real body up to during all that time?
