Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

On the light screen.

Chu Sheng hovered in mid-air, motionless.

As if he’d been scared witless.

Gong Xuan stood before the crowd, his hands clasped behind his back, watching the tiny black shadow within the light screen.

The corner of his mouth curled into a cold smirk.

”Is that it?”

His voice wasn’t loud, but it carried clearly to the ears of those around him.

”A waste of our Twelve Veins’ Essence Blood.”

”A waste of the Holy Daughter’s painstaking efforts.”

”I thought we were summoning something incredible. In the end, it can’t even get past the first level.”

The surrounding clan leaders had varied expressions, but no one spoke up to refute him.

Because on the light screen—

The Gu-insects had already begun to move.

Furthermore, more and more Gu-insects were starting to awaken!

They swarmed from all directions like a tide, converging on the black mosquito hovering in mid-air.

Flying in the sky.

Crawling on the ground.

Clinging to the stone walls.

Emerging from the cracks.

Thousands upon thousands, blanketing everything.

It looked like they were about to completely submerge Chu Sheng!

In the crowd, Ah Yi clamped a hand over her mouth, her eyes red-rimmed. Yun Yao stood on the steps of the Holy Hall, her hands clenched so tightly her knuckles turned white.

However—

Just as the Gu-insects were less than three feet from Chu Sheng.

They suddenly stopped.

It was as if something had hit the pause button.

One.

Ten.

A hundred.

A thousand.

All the Gu-insects, every single one, stopped in place.

Motionless.

The scene was bizarre to the extreme—

Countless Gu-insects formed a massive sphere, the innermost circle just inches from Chu Sheng. Their mouthparts were open and stingers raised, yet they were frozen in place as if hit by a paralyzing spell.

Then.

An even stranger scene occurred.

The Gu-insects began to retreat!

The bloodlust in their eyes... was suddenly replaced by terror!

And... submission!

In the plaza.

All the Witch Race People were stunned.

Inside the blood-red light screen, everyone recognized the way the Gu-insects were retreating—it was the posture a low-level Insect Beast would take when facing an insect king.

The cold smirk on Gong Xuan’s face froze.

”Th-this... how is this possible!”

”These Gu-insects, they’re... they’re bowing to this mosquito!”

”This mosquito... what in the world is it!”

...

Inside the Ten Thousand Insects Hall, it was deathly silent.

Countless Gu-insects lay prostrate on the ground. At this moment, they didn’t even dare to make a single sound.

In the air.

Chu Sheng was motionless, but his eyes were filled with excitement!

’Heh heh! It’s working!’

What was working?

’Of course... it’s the upgraded [Primordial Suppression]!’

This was the skill formerly known as Monarch’s Suppression.

Chu Sheng had rarely used this Skill, nor had he had much opportunity to. He hadn’t expected to use it so soon after it was upgraded.

The original Monarch’s Suppression could only suppress beings with a lower Grade and Mental Power than his own.

But the current Level 20 Primordial Suppression could directly ignore differences in Mental Power! It wasn’t even about strength! It was about reigning supreme through Bloodline!

’As long as it’s an Insect Beast!’

’Any with a Bloodline inferior to mine will be suppressed!’

’Absolute suppression.’

And Chu Sheng’s Bloodline, after completing the Primordial evolution, had changed from Emperor Level Five Stars to:

[Bloodline: Half-Step Emperor Realm]

In other words, any Insect Beast with a Bloodline below the Emperor Realm would be absolutely suppressed by Chu Sheng!

Therefore.

Right now, in the eyes of these Gu-insects, Chu Sheng was their absolute king!

Inside the Ten Thousand Insects Hall.

Chu Sheng’s gaze swept over the Insect Beasts, feeling quite satisfied.

’So, what should I do with these Insect Beasts?’

’Ignore them? Just pass the trial?’

’Nonono, that’s not this mosquito’s style.’

’Suck them dry?’

’With so many Insect Beasts, how long would that take?’

’Kill them and recycle the bodies?’

’Wait... why recycle corpses!’

’I can ”recycle” them alive! To be precise... collect them!’

’I’ll use the upgraded Nether Flame Insect Nest, the [Primordial Nest], to collect them all!’

The original Nether Flame Insect Nest could collect any Insect Beast, but only if its realm was lower than his own.

And the current Primordial Nest... Chu Sheng examined it closely.

Just like [Primordial Suppression], its judgments were based on Bloodline!

It could collect anything below the Emperor Realm Bloodline!

’Holy crap... aren’t I rich now?’

’Out of nowhere, I’m getting ten thousand powerful Insect Beasts! These things are either astonishingly strong or have special abilities. Every single one is a treasure!’

Thinking of this, Chu Sheng could no longer hold back.

[Primordial Nest]

’Collect, collect, collect!’

Following Chu Sheng’s command.

Inside the Ten Thousand Insects Hall, one Gu-insect after another began to vanish into thin air...

「At the same time.」

In the plaza outside the Ancestral Hall.

The Witch Race People were completely dumbfounded by this scene.

”Wh-what’s going on? Why are the Gu-insects disappearing!”

”It’s him! It’s the mosquito! He’s using some unknown method to collect the Gu-insects!”

The clan leaders of the Twelve Veins were beyond astonished.

Soon after, someone realized the problem:

”Wait! Those Gu-insects all belong to our Witch Race!”

”This mosquito, it’s stealing our Witch Race’s resources—”

”Silence!”

A cold shout suddenly rang out.

Yun Yao stood on the steps of the Holy Hall, her gaze as sharp as a blade as it swept over the few clan leaders who had spoken.

”Are the Gu-insects more important, or are the lives of our people?”

”For ten thousand years, these Gu-insects have been raised in the Ancestral Hall. Who could control them? Who could use them?”

”They were nothing more than a pile of inert objects sitting there.”

”Today, the Sacred Mosquito challenges the hall. If it can pass the three trials and break our race’s ten-thousand-year curse, what would it matter if we gave it these Gu-insects, or even the entire Ancestral Hall?”

She paused.

”Anyone who objects further is making an enemy of me, and an enemy of the entire Witch Race.”

The plaza fell silent.

The few clan leaders who had spoken lowered their heads, not daring to say another word.

The old clan leader of the Houtu Vein sighed and said softly:

”The Holy Daughter is right. Our lives are nearly forfeit. What’s the point of clinging to these dead things?”

The woman from the Jumang Vein nodded.

”If the Sacred Mosquito has the ability to take them, that is its own skill. We shall simply watch.”

And at some unknown point.

Gong Xuan, who had been smirking just moments ago, had vanished without a trace.

「Meanwhile.」

On a certain mountaintop, Gu Yuexi was also taking in the entire scene in the plaza.

”Hmph, you damned mosquito. As expected, there’s nothing you can’t do.”

She first muttered to herself, then looked at the Witch Race People and sneered:

”Ignorant fools, getting all worked up over a few Gu-insects. Sooner or later, I’ll have that damned mosquito collect all of you, too!”

As she spoke, Gu Yuexi stood up.

Since things were progressing smoothly on Chu Sheng’s end, it was time for her to do what she needed to do!

Her figure flickered, transforming into a Shadow as she disappeared from the mountaintop.

...

Inside the Ten Thousand Insects Hall.

Chu Sheng was having a blast collecting them!

His consciousness entered the Primordial Nest. Compared to the previous Nether Flame Insect Nest, the Primordial Nest had an additional trace of ancient, primordial aura.

Inside the Nest, the collected Gu-insects were staying put obediently.

If they were merely suppressed in the outside world...

...then after being collected, these Gu-insects had been branded by Chu Sheng’s system!

It was no longer simple suppression, but absolute obedience!

”Nine thousand nine hundred ninety-seven, nine thousand nine hundred ninety-eight, nine thousand nine hundred ninety-nine...”

’Huh? Wait, I’m one short?’

’The Ten Thousand Insects Hall, as its name implies, should have exactly ten thousand Gu-insects. It’s a strange Law of balance in this hall.’

Chu Sheng’s consciousness returned to reality.

After the Gu-insects were taken away, the Ten Thousand Insects Hall was once again plunged into darkness.

’Is that really all of them?’

Chu Sheng closed his eyes and sensed his surroundings... ’No, there’s another one!’

His gaze instantly locked onto the deepest part of the Ten Thousand Insects Hall.

At the same time, a tiny point of light appeared in the darkness.

The next second, the point of light moved abruptly! It rushed towards Chu Sheng at extreme speed.

BUZZ (”Use [Primordial Suppression] to suppress it!”)

It didn’t work!

BUZZ (”Use [Primordial Nest] to collect it!”)

Still didn’t work!

’What the hell?’

’This Gu-insect’s Bloodline is actually... Emperor Realm?’

’No, maybe even higher??’
