Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

Witch Ancestral Land.

The lingering sound of the horn slowly faded among the mountains.

In the square of the holy mountain, all around it, and across the mountain ranges of the Witch Ancestral Land, the Witch Race People knelt prostrate.

They faced the Holy Hall, motionless, their faces full of devotion.

On the face, body, and limbs of every one of these Witch Race People, there were, to varying degrees, ugly marks left behind by the Curse Power.

Before the Holy Hall.

Yun Yao slowly lowered the horn in her hands, and the glowing totem patterns on it slowly faded.

This ancient horn, named the ”Ancestral Witch Horn,” had a uniquely profound connection with the Bloodline of the Witch Race.

Once blown, all members of the Witch Race, no matter where they were in the ancestral land, could hear its call.

And the only one who could blow it was the Holy Daughter.

...

The sounding of the Ancestral Witch Horn meant that something monumental had happened to the Witch Race!

So, what exactly had just happened?

Following Gong Xuan’s revelations, Yun Yao’s actions were questioned by everyone; even the few clan chiefs she had brought with her, who were close to her, could not understand.

But her status as the Holy Daughter had been acknowledged by the Holy Hall of the Witch Race.

Therefore, even if the clan chiefs of the twelve branches did not approve of her, they could not simply revoke her status as Holy Daughter.

To prove her own determination, Yun Yao had taken out the Ancestral Witch Horn!

Only the Holy Daughter could sound the Ancestral Witch Horn, but that didn’t mean she could blow it carelessly.

A Holy Daughter who was disloyal or had ulterior motives toward the Witch Race would only suffer a severe backlash from blowing the Ancestral Witch Horn.

And when the horn’s call sounded, it was equivalent to the will of the Witch God descending.

It also meant that Yun Yao’s actions had received the Witch God’s approval!

Therefore, even Gong Xuan... unless he was ready to deny he was one of the Witch Race People, he too had to kneel obediently!

...

Before the Holy Hall.

Facing the tens of thousands of prostrated Witch Race People, Yun Yao finally spoke in a clear, resonant voice:

”Huo—Mu—Er—”

”Sa—Gu—La—”

”Weng—Ma—Lie—Hong—”

Her voice was not loud, but these ancient syllables seemed to carry a special power of their own.

Within the Witch Ancestral Land, all the kneeling Witch Race People slowly rose to their feet.

Then, for some unknown reason, Yun Yao did not continue in the Witch tongue, but began to speak in the language of the Great Xia:

”The Ancestral Witch Horn has sounded. I have gathered all our people today for one great purpose.”

”It concerns the curse upon our race.”

”Ten thousand years. This damnable curse has plagued our race for over ten thousand years!”

”For ten thousand years, this Curse Power has stolen countless lives from our race!”

She paused, her gaze sweeping over every face in the square.

”Every single one of us has personally witnessed the curse flare up. We have all buried loved ones who died from it.”

”Fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, children.”

”We have lived like this for ten thousand years.”

”And now—”

Yun Yao’s voice did not rise; it was even calmer than before.

But it was this very calmness that lay like a stone upon everyone’s heart.

”The Curse Power has now appeared on every member of our Witch Race. We have nowhere left to retreat.”

”Must our Witch Race be caught in the endless throes of this Curse Power, dying in agony one by one, until we are extinct?”

Yun Yao’s voice was solemn and filled with grief.

The faces of all the Witch Race People also showed pain and despair.

Even Gong Xuan’s eyes flashed with a hint of darkness, but it was immediately replaced by a faint, sharp glint.

Just then, Yun Yao’s voice suddenly rose!

”No!”

”The Witch Race will not resign itself to extinction, nor will it perish.”

”Today, I sounded the Ancestral Witch Horn and gathered all of you here to tell you one thing.”

”And that is, our race can be saved!”

”I, your Holy Daughter, have found a way to break the curse on the Witch Race!”

...

BOOM!

The moment she finished speaking, the entire square first fell into a deathly silence, then erupted into a tremendous uproar!

It was utter shock! It was unbearable excitement! It was disbelief!

No one spoke.

But countless eyes lit up.

It was the look of those who, after being suppressed and in despair for too long, suddenly saw a sliver of light.

Some clenched their fists until their knuckles turned white; some stared blankly toward the Holy Hall, their mouths agape and eyes reddening; and still others had flickering gazes, their faces showing hesitation.

At the foot of the holy mountain.

Within the crowd, a young girl was kneeling.

She looked to be only seventeen or eighteen, in the prime of her youth, but every inch of her exposed skin was covered in scars.

Her face, her neck, the backs of her hands—all were densely covered.

The scars twisted and tangled, like countless centipedes crawling on her, tearing apart what should have been smooth, delicate skin.

Her eyes were lifeless.

But at that moment, upon hearing Yun Yao’s final words, a sudden light flashed in her ashen, dead eyes.

At the same time, in the front rows of the square, several clan chiefs of the twelve branches could no longer hold back.

”Holy Daughter!”

The clan chief of the Tianwu branch stepped forward, his voice dry:

”What you said... is it true?”

The clan chief of the Xuanming branch also spoke up, his tone laced with doubt:

”The curse has plagued us for ten thousand years. Generations of Holy Daughters have tried everything, all without success. Have you... truly found a way?”

The chiefs of the other branches were the same, all waiting for Yun Yao’s answer.

But Yun Yao did not answer them.

Instead, she turned around.

She faced a patch of empty space to the left of the Holy Hall.

There was nothing there, only mist, flowing slowly.

Under the gazes of all her people,

Yun Yao looked in that direction, slowly bent her knee, and knelt down on one knee!

”Master.”

”I know you are nearby. Please, show yourself.”

Yun Yao’s voice was not loud, yet it instantly plunged the entire square back into a deathly silence.

Master?

Everyone was stunned... Who was the Holy Daughter calling Master?

They, the Witch Race, were descendants of the Twelve Ancestral Witches, who were also known as the twelve Witch Gods.

Their Bloodline was incomparably noble!

So for Yun Yao, the Holy Daughter of the Witch Race, to have a master...

If the lineage of the twelve Witch clans truly had a master, there was only one possibility: the legendary... Pangu. But how could that be possible!

...

Before the Holy Hall.

Yun Yao ignored their gazes. She remained kneeling, staring into the empty space.

The one she was calling for was, of course, Chu Sheng.

However... there was no response.

Only silence awaited her; Chu Sheng did not appear.

Silence.

No response.

Yun Yao’s face paled for a moment. She gritted her teeth and spoke again:

”Master, I beg you.”

”Please, help my Witch Race.”

Her voice was tinged with urgency and sincerity.

In truth, Yun Yao wasn’t this anxious solely because the Time Trace Hourglass was with Chu Sheng and Gu Yuexi.

It was because, in the unseen depths of fate, she had a premonition that the mosquito was the destined savior of the Witch Race.

The premonitions of the Witch Clan Saintess were always accurate; otherwise, as the Witch Clan Saintess, she would not have so easily acknowledged a master.

Therefore, at this moment, seeing that Chu Sheng had no intention of appearing, she finally began to panic.

But even so, there was still no movement from the empty space.

Yun Yao knelt there, her head bowed.

Her face was a mask of despair.

’Could it be... that mosquito, and that woman, have they really left?’

’No, that can’t be.’

She gritted her teeth, her entire body bowing lower, and then... she spoke for the third time:

”Witch Clan Saintess, Yun Yao—”

She spoke word by word, her voice solemn and earnest, carrying across the entire square:

”On behalf of all the Witch Race People,”

”implores Lord Saint Mosquito—”

”to appear!”

The entire holy mountain was utterly silent, with only Yun Yao’s voice echoing.

Seeing the Holy Daughter go this far, no matter how shocked they were, the crowd could not help but follow her gaze.

Who could it possibly be?

Would the savior of the Witch Race truly appear?

Amidst tens of thousands of gazes, a mixture of doubt and anticipation,

the empty space finally stirred.

The mist, as if stirred by something, began to slowly swirl.

Then—

An incomparably colossal... Mosquito Beast poked its head out from the swirling mist.

And what a mosquito it was.

It was hundreds of meters huge, blotting out the sky and sun.

Its body was pitch-black, yet faintly shot through with dark golden patterns. These patterns flowed over its body as if they were alive, and their every flicker sent a tremor through the heart.

Its compound eyes were as deep as an abyss, gazing down upon the tens of thousands of Witch Race People below.
