Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

This giant mosquito was, of course, Chu Sheng.

And his current form was precisely his Third Form.

The Third Form was his giant mosquito form. Before his evolution, it was only about a hundred meters long. Now, after his tenth complete evolution, it was a massive several hundred, nearly a thousand, meters long!

Chu Sheng’s gaze swept over the Witch Race People, and then he gave his wings a gentle beat.

BOOM—

A violent gale erupted!

He flew out at extreme speed. After circling the sacred mountain once, he appeared in the air above the square, filling everyone’s vision.

Then, under everyone’s watchful gaze...

Suddenly, his enormous body shrank... into a mosquito just over a meter long.

The Primordial Holy Mosquito form!

Unlike the colossal creature that had just blotted out the sun...

Chu Sheng’s current figure was slender and streamlined.

After his tenth complete evolution, his appearance had changed slightly—

His entire body was pitch-black, but it was dotted with specks of dark gold light, like stars in the night sky. His wings were as thin as a cicada’s, yet one could faintly see profound patterns flowing across them.

Handsome.

It even possessed a hint of... divinity.

And it carried the faint aura of ancient times.

For a moment,

all the Witch Race People were stunned. This was a beauty the Witch Race had never seen before.

Not the beauty of an Insect Beast, but a beauty approaching that of a god.

But before they could recover—

Chu Sheng’s body shrank again... turning into an ordinary little black mosquito.

His Primitive Form, the Aedes albopictus.

He flapped his wings and slowly descended... landing on the respectfully outstretched hand of Yun Yao.

”BUZZ BUZZ (Ahem, Lord Mosquito has arrived.)”

...

Ahem.

In truth, Chu Sheng hadn’t intentionally stayed hidden after hearing Yun Yao’s call.

Yun Yao had taken out the Ancestral Witch Horn, which already demonstrated her sincerity and attitude. Under these circumstances, both he and Gu Yuexi felt the deal could proceed.

For one, it would indeed help Yun Yao.

For another, understanding and grasping the secrets of the Witch Race through Yun Yao would be more direct and simple.

As for Chu Sheng, he had originally wanted to make his entrance with Gu Yuexi.

But Gu Yuexi refused. ”She called for you, what would I go for?” she had said, leaving Chu Sheng baffled.

Only after teasing Chu Sheng for a bit did Gu Yuexi explain her reasoning.

This time, she planned for Chu Sheng to be in the spotlight while she operated from behind the scenes. They would work on two fronts, supporting each other.

At the same time, she also wanted to seize the opportunity to comprehend the Laws of this world... so she was leaving these kinds of showy entrances to him.

Chu Sheng was a little speechless. ’She makes it sound like I enjoy showing off.’

’But... Yun Yao was so sincere, after all. I should at least give her some face.’

This was also why Chu Sheng had switched between three forms for such a flashy entrance.

Besides,

since he was playing the role of the ”Holy Daughter Master,” he naturally had to be a bit more impressive to achieve his goals later on.

...

In front of the Holy Hall.

The patriarchs of the Witch Race’s twelve branches were all frozen in place.

Even Gong Xuan was shaken by the scene. The trace of divine aura from Chu Sheng gave even him an urge to submit.

And just as he was reeling from the shock...

A cold, sinister voice suddenly appeared in his mind:

”Heh heh, an interesting little thing.”

”But to think it can solve your Witch Race’s curse? What a ridiculous fantasy.”

Hearing this voice, Gong Xuan’s pupils shrank.

His expression remained unchanged, but his eyes turned cold and sinister once more.

At that moment, the patriarch of the Tianwu branch couldn’t help but speak up:

”Holy Daughter, what... what is this creature?”

”Can it... truly save our race?”

The patriarchs of the other branches also turned to look at Yun Yao.

Just as Yun Yao was about to speak,

Gong Xuan cut in with a sneer,

”Hah.”

”Holy Daughter, it’s true you blew the horn. Setting aside the matter of you acknowledging a master, that only proves your loyalty to the Witch Race.”

He paused, his gaze falling upon Chu Sheng.

”But whether this mosquito can actually do it is another matter entirely.”

As his voice fell,

the eyes of many people in the square flickered with uncertainty.

They were right.

The horn could prove the Holy Daughter’s heart, but it couldn’t prove the mosquito’s ability.

This was a curse that had plagued the Witch Race for ten thousand years. Could a single mosquito really solve it?

Just then—something unexpected happened!

From the back of the crowd in the square, a commotion suddenly erupted!

”Move! Get out of the way!”

”Oh no, someone’s curse is acting up!”

”It’s Ah Yi! Ah Yi’s curse is acting up!”

Amidst the panicked cries, the crowd quickly parted to make a path.

Several Witch Race People, carrying a little girl, stumbled and rushed to the open space in front of the Holy Hall.

The girl looked to be only eight or nine years old. She was small and thin, and her whole body was convulsing.

On her face, neck, and arms—beneath her exposed skin, it looked as if something was moving about frantically.

Wherever that thing passed, the skin would instantly bulge with twisted lines, then split open, oozing fresh blood.

One.

Two.

Three.

The lines seemed alive, darting madly across her body. Each pass left a new scar.

The little girl curled up in pain, letting out weak moans.

”Ah Yi! Ah Yi!”

The woman holding her knelt on the ground, tears streaming down her face, but she was powerless to do anything.

Yun Yao’s expression changed, and she hurried over.

The patriarchs of the twelve branches also gathered around.

The old patriarch of the Houtu branch knelt to take a look, and his face instantly darkened.

”This is bad!”

”This isn’t a normal flare-up!”

He stood up, his voice trembling.

”Our race’s curse... the severity of each flare-up is different. Some people can survive dozens of them, while others...”

He didn’t finish.

But everyone knew the rest.

Some people die after just one.

This little girl before them was one of the latter.

The speed at which the lines were moving was too fast, terrifyingly fast. They traveled from her arm to her shoulder, from her shoulder to her chest, from her chest to her back...

Each pass left a deep gash on her body.

Each pass consumed a bit of her life.

”Is there no way to help?”

the matriarch of the Jumang branch asked anxiously.

The old patriarch of the Houtu branch shook his head, his voice hoarse.

”None.”

”With a flare-up of this intensity... all we can do is leave it to fate.”

The people around them fell silent.

Leave it to fate.

They had heard those words too many times.

Every time the curse acted up, all they could do was watch.

Watch their loved ones suffer, watch them struggle, watch them take their last breath.

Powerless to do anything.

The woman holding the little girl let out a heart-wrenching sob.

The little girl was in too much pain to speak, her small body twitching as her eyes lost focus.

Just when everyone had fallen into despair...

A buzzing sound was heard.

A small black mosquito had, at some unknown point, landed on the little girl’s forehead... It was Chu Sheng.

’To be honest, I’ve been curious about this Curse Power for a long time!’

’Now that someone’s having an episode, Lord Mosquito will have a look... and see just what the hell you are!’

Under everyone’s gaze, Chu Sheng gently inserted his God-devouring Needle into Ah Yi’s forehead.

”What... what is it doing? Is it saving Ah Yi?”

”Could it be that this holy mosquito truly has the ability to lift the curse?”

Seeing Chu Sheng’s actions, the surrounding Witch Race People began to feel a glimmer of hope once again.

But just then, suddenly!

The little girl, Ah Yi, let out another piercing scream! Her body thrashed violently as the Curse Power under her skin began to move about as if it had gone berserk!!!
