Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

As the point of light rapidly approached, Chu Sheng finally got a clear look at it.

It was very small...

Not much bigger than his current primitive mosquito form.

It looked... like an insect wearing a carapace, and the point of light was emitting from its tail.

’Huh, what the heck is this thing?’

’An evil little beetle?’

Chu Sheng didn’t have time for a closer look. In just a glance, the insect beast had already charged... no, not charged, it had rammed straight toward him.

Chu Sheng noticed that as it went to ram him, its entire body retracted into its carapace!

[Boundless Wings]

Chu Sheng used Instant Teleportation, his figure vanishing from its spot and reappearing ten zhang away.

However—he had just materialized out of thin air when the point of light had already changed direction and was lunging at him again!

No pause.

No hesitation.

It was as if it knew where he would land from the very beginning.

Chu Sheng’s pupils constricted.

’Teleport again!’

Left. Right. Above. Below...

He used Instant Teleportation seven times in a row, each time to a different spot. And each time, almost the very instant he reappeared, the dark shadow was already right in front of him!

Within the confined space of the Ten Thousand Insects Hall, this thing’s Speed was somehow not the slightest bit inferior to Instant Teleportation!

Moreover, while using Instant Teleportation to dodge, Chu Sheng also summoned dozens of [Silent Extinction Flame Feather] Attacks!

The power of Silent Extinction Flame Feather had increased dramatically since it was upgraded.

But it was useless!

He couldn’t keep up with its Speed at all; every attack missed.

’Heh, interesting.’

After trying to dodge a few times, Chu Sheng’s temper flared, and he decided not to dodge anymore!

’Dammit, I’ll just use you to test out my ultimate move!’

What was Chu Sheng’s go-to ultimate offensive move?

Before, it was of the Fire Element, because his Fire Realm was the highest!

But now, it was the Thunder Element!

After dodging the insect beast’s ram one more time, Chu Sheng appeared out of thin air, raised a single mosquito leg, and slammed it down on the void!

”Bzzzz (Nine Tribulations Thunder Prison!)”

Nine Tribulations Thunder Prison was one of Chu Sheng’s few area-of-effect Skills. And after his Thunder Realm reached the ”Law - Initial Glimpse” stage, its power was on a whole new level!

”Bzzzz (Blast it!)”

Instantly.

The once pitch-black Ten Thousand Insects Hall lit up, bright as day.

Hundreds of bolts of lightning suddenly crashed down from the void!

This was no ordinary lightning.

Each bolt was as thick as an arm and glowed with a violet-gold light. Chu Sheng’s Thunder Realm was originally absorbed from a Celestial Tribulation, so the lightning of the Nine Tribulations Thunder Prison now somewhat resembled that very same Celestial Tribulation!

RUMBLE! BOOM!

Hundreds of lightning bolts poured down simultaneously, densely packed, weaving together into a prison of thunder!

The entire Ten Thousand Insects Hall trembled.

The stone walls, which had stood for ten thousand years, began to show faint cracks as rubble rustled down.

And at the center of this thunder prison—

—was that tiny black insect beast.

”Bzzzz (Heh, I thought you were so fast?)”

”Bzzzzz (Lord Mosquito’s thunder prison covers the entire Ten Thousand Insects Hall. Let’s see you dodge this!)”

Amidst the terrifying lightning, the bizarre insect beast finally stopped moving.

It didn’t dodge.

Instead, it suddenly became motionless... Its head and tail, which had been poking out of its shell, abruptly retracted completely inside.

BOOM!!!

As bolt after bolt of lightning smashed down, complex patterns simultaneously lit up on the insect beast’s carapace, stubbornly resisting the thunder.

”Bzzzz (Whoa, it can do that?)”

Chu Sheng was startled to see this!

But he didn’t care. He controlled the lightning and just unleashed a relentless bombardment!

BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!

Finally... the thunder prison ended.

The entire Ten Thousand Insects Hall plunged back into darkness, the air thick with the smell of char.

Chu Sheng’s eyes were fixed on the spot that had been the center of the thunder prison!

”Bzzzz (Is it dead?)”

The next second, that point of light suddenly flared up again!

...

「Meanwhile.」

Outside the Ancestral Hall.

The members of the Witch Race in the square were all completely dumbfounded.

From the appearance of the insect beast, to the high-speed battle between the two Insect Beasts, to Chu Sheng summoning the thunder prison, to the insect beast’s terrifying Defense Power!

Scene after scene!

Each one captivated the hearts of every member of the Witch Race!

Normally, they would certainly hope for the victory of the insect beast from their Witch Race’s Ten Thousand Insects Hall.

But right now...

Chu Sheng was their only hope!

It wasn’t until the patterns appeared on the insect beast’s carapace that someone finally recognized its origin!

”That is...”

The gaze of the Shebishi lineage’s patriarch was fixed on the tiny black beetle on the light screen, his voice trembling.

”That’s a Myriad Antiquity Nether-Armored Chi!”

”What?” The person beside him was stunned.

The patriarch of the Shebishi lineage’s lips trembled as he spoke in a hoarse voice:

”It’s recorded in the ancient texts of my Shebishi lineage... a primordial relic species! A descendant of the ’Nether-Armored Saint Chi’ from the Immemorial Era!”

”A primordial relic species?”

The old patriarch of the Houtu lineage’s expression changed.

”Doesn’t that mean this insect beast has been alive for at least several million years?”

The patriarch of the Shebishi lineage shook his head:

”It probably hasn’t been that long. According to our Shebishi lineage’s records, this primordial relic species was only sent into the Ten Thousand Insects Gu ten thousand years ago. No one knows when it hatched.”

The woman from the Jumang lineage lamented:

”So it’s a descendant of an Immemorial Era Insect Beast. No wonder its Defense Power is so terrifying.”

”That thunder prison was already so horrifying, yet to think it actually withstood it.”

”No!”

The patriarch of the Shebishi lineage cut her off, his expression grave.

”The most terrifying thing about the Myriad Antiquity Nether-Armored Chi isn’t its Defense Power!”

”It’s... its poison!”

”The Nether-Antiquity Poison!”

...

「Inside the Ten Thousand Insects Hall.」

Chu Sheng squinted at the point of light that had lit up again.

’This thing’s got some tricks.’

He hadn’t expected the final insect beast to be so difficult to deal with... It seemed... conventional methods weren’t going to work on it.

’Huh... wait.’

’Didn’t this damn bug chase me like crazy at first? Why isn’t it moving now?’

’Could it have been injured by the Nine Tribulations Thunder Prison?’

Chu Sheng hesitated for a moment, then buzzed and slowly, cautiously flew over!

However, just as he got within one zhang of the insect beast, suddenly!

A purple, fluorescent mist abruptly shot out from the insect beast’s body!

Chu Sheng’s reaction was extremely fast. He instantly used Instant Teleportation to dodge, returning to his original position.

However... he still inhaled some of it.

He had inhaled a tiny wisp of that strange mist!

Moreover, the fluorescent mist began to spread rapidly throughout the Ten Thousand Insects Hall!

...

”Not good!”

In the square, the patriarch of the Shebishi lineage suddenly shouted!

”It really is the Nether-Antiquity Poison!”

His entire body was trembling:

”It’s over, it’s all over!”

”This is the Myriad Antiquity Nether-Armored Chi’s life-bound poison! The ancient texts say that once afflicted with this poison, even those in the Emperor Realm or Divine Realm will perish!”

Hearing this, everyone’s expressions changed drastically as they hurriedly looked back at the blood-red light screen.

There... inside the Ten Thousand Insects Hall...

Chu Sheng’s condition... was starting to become abnormal.

His body first began to tremble slightly.

Then it began to tremble violently.

He flew about erratically, his wings beating frantically but with no sense of direction. His six legs curled up and then desperately stretched out again, his entire body rolling, struggling, and convulsing in mid-air.

...Like a mosquito that had been sprayed with insecticide.
