Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

Death was the only release from the curse.

「Before the Holy Hall.」

Chu Sheng lay on Ah Yi’s forehead, carefully controlling the Divine Way True Flame.

He couldn’t eradicate it completely... but by relying on the Divine Way True Flame’s absolute suppression of the Curse Power, he could temporarily save Ah Yi’s life.

He manipulated an extremely fine strand of the Divine Way True Flame, forming protective firewalls around Ah Yi’s heart, neck, and other vital areas.

This way, whenever the Curse Power surged toward a critical point, the Divine Way True Flame would force it back.

However, this was hardly a long-term solution.

Once it was no longer under his control, the Divine Way True Flame would gradually dissipate.

So, unless he performed this ”surgery” on the little girl regularly, the Curse Power would inevitably return after a while.

In other words...

He couldn’t possibly save every member of the Witch Race this way... He’d work himself to death, and he’d be tied to the Witch Race for the rest of his life.

Therefore...

’It seems I’ll have to find another way to completely break the Witch Race’s curse.’

...

「Before the Holy Hall.」

Under Chu Sheng’s treatment, Ah Yi finally, slowly, grew calm again.

And the results were even better than last time.

The curse scars on her face and limbs had actually all receded...

Upon seeing this, the surrounding members of the Witch Race began to tremble with immense excitement.

It’s real!

He can really do it!

The Witch Race... We’re really saved!

Everyone’s gaze fell upon Chu Sheng, this tiny mosquito, and their eyes were filled with... longing!

At that moment, someone shouted from the crowd.

”We implore the Sacred Mosquito to save the Witch Race!”

One voice rang out, and ten thousand answered!

”We implore the Sacred Mosquito to save the Witch Race!”

”We implore the Sacred Mosquito to save the Witch Race!”

The cries rose one after another, spreading through the masses.

Wave after wave of the Witch Race prostrated themselves once more... The tide of worshipers spread from the sacred mountain to the surrounding peaks, stretching for thousands of miles...

「In the plaza.」

Chu Sheng slowly flew up and landed on Yao’s shoulder.

”BUZZ... (’What are you doing? Say your lines!’)”

”BUZZ BUZZ... (’Hurry up and state my conditions!’)”

What were Chu Sheng’s conditions?

The method to control the Twelve Ancestral Witch Stone Statues, the records on how to use the Time Trace Hourglass... He had discussed all of this with Yao before rescuing her from the stone chamber.

And all of these things were in one place.

The core of the Witch Race’s Holy Hall—the Ancestral Hall.

And they were things that could not be removed!

Hearing Chu Sheng’s buzzing, Yao immediately flew up slowly and announced in a clear voice:

”The Sacred Mosquito has spoken!”

”The method to cure our race’s curse requires the use of the Ancestral Witch Time Dial, and mastery of the Time Dial can only be achieved by entering the Ancestral Hall.”

”Now, I, the Holy Daughter, declare...”

”Open the Ancestral Hall!”

What?!

Open the Ancestral Hall!

As her voice fell, the twelve clan leaders at the very front all showed looks of astonishment.

The Ancestral Hall was the most core and sacred place of the Witch Race. Only the Holy Daughter of each generation could enter... or rather, it was because Yao could enter the Ancestral Hall that she was qualified to be the Holy Daughter.

The clan leaders’ shock was not merely because a non-member of the Witch Race was to enter the Ancestral Hall.

It was because... a non-member of the Witch Race couldn’t possibly enter the Ancestral Hall! Not even they, the clan leaders, could walk into its innermost core!

This had nothing to do with Cultivation or strength; it was a Bloodline taboo left behind by the Witch God!

...

However, at this moment, all the members of the Witch Race had been thoroughly won over by Chu Sheng’s earlier display.

Or perhaps, after a millennium of torment, upon finally seeing a glimmer of hope for survival... all taboos had been tossed to the back of their minds.

Most of them didn’t even stop to think... After Yao uttered the three words, ”Open the Ancestral Hall!”

All the members of the Witch Race also began to chant those three words in unison:

”Open the Ancestral Hall!”

”Open the Ancestral Hall!”

”Open the Ancestral Hall!”

Amidst this unified roar, it would have been meaningless for anyone to try and object.

Unexpectedly, Gong Xuan, who had knelt in humiliation earlier, made no move to join the chants. A faint, formless, malevolent energy was radiating from his body... and the voice in his head had returned.

...

「Before the Holy Hall.」

Yao slowly descended, her gaze sweeping over her clansmen who were still shouting, and then held up a hand to quiet them.

As the chanting gradually subsided, her gaze fell upon the leaders of the twelve clans.

”Clan Leaders.”

Her voice was solemn, yet it carried an unquestionable authority:

”To open the Ancestral Hall, we need your Essence Blood.”

The twelve clan leaders’ expressions changed.

They were, of course, aware of the rules for opening the Ancestral Hall.

The Ancestral Hall could not be opened at will. It required the twelve clan leaders and the current Holy Daughter to simultaneously offer a drop of their life-bound Essence Blood, using the Witch Race’s most ancient Bloodline contract to awaken the slumbering hall.

Every drop of Essence Blood would greatly drain the Sacrificial Offerer’s vitality, requiring at least three years to recover.

But at this moment, no one backed down, nor could they.

The leader of the Jumang clan took a deep breath, stepped forward, and slit his wrist. A drop of crimson Essence Blood, rich with sanguine energy, slowly floated toward the sky above the Holy Hall.

”For the Witch Race!”

The second clan leader followed suit.

”For the Witch Race!”

The third, the fourth...

Drop after drop of Essence Blood, like twelve blood-red stars, hovered above the Holy Hall. Faint rays of light connected them, forming a profound and ancient array pattern.

The surrounding members of the Witch Race had long since stopped shouting. They held their breath, their eyes glued to the scene.

All twelve drops of Essence Blood were in position.

Yao closed her eyes and also slit her own wrist.

A drop of pale golden blood flew from her fingertip, joining the other twelve drops of Essence Blood—it was the special Bloodline possessed only by the Holy Daughters of each generation, the true key to communicating with the Ancestral Hall.

The moment the golden blood merged into the array pattern...

BOOM—

The entire Holy Hall began to tremble violently... no, it was as if the entire Witch Ancestral Land had begun to shake!

Countless fine cracks split the ground, yet not a single piece of rubble fell. All the cracks extended in the same direction, as if outlining some ancient rune.

Then, an even more shocking scene unfolded.

The Holy Hall itself, the massive stone temple that had stood for untold millennia, began to slowly part down the middle... splitting to either side!

There was no roaring, no deafening crash.

There was only a heart-pounding, low hum, like an ancient beast awakening from its slumber.

Like two great doors pushed by an invisible giant’s hands, the Holy Hall shifted apart, bit by bit. The gap widened, revealing an expanse of pitch-black Space behind it.

And within that blackness, the silhouette of an even older, even more vast and desolate, massive structure was slowly emerging.

It was a colossal, pitch-black palace, its surface covered with the marks of time and dense reliefs of the Ancestral Witches.

It squeezed out of the void bit by bit, as if it did not belong to this era or this Space, forcefully summoned from the depths of the river of time by the power of the thirteen drops of Essence Blood.

The Ancestral Hall!

The most core, most sacred existence of the Witch Race!

BOOM—

Another muffled, colossal sound rang out.

The Ancestral Hall fully materialized, landing steadily on the ground.

The ancient aura that washed over them made every member of the Witch Race, including the twelve clan leaders, fall to their knees in prostration, their hearts filled with an indescribable sense of awe and excitement.

The Ancestral Hall was open once more!

Yao stood at the very front, her face slightly pale from offering her Essence Blood, but her eyes were incredibly resolute.

She turned to look at Chu Sheng, who had landed on her shoulder, her voice trembling slightly:

”Master... it is done.”

Chu Sheng slowly flew up, his eyes fixed on the massive black hall that had just squeezed out of the void.

Feeling that ancient, hair-raising pressure wash over him... even he wasn’t laughing and joking around anymore.

’Holy hell...’

’This thing... seems pretty damn impressive, huh?’
