Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

Divine Hall of Stagnation, Inner Hall.

On the ground, Chu Sheng remained motionless, lying limp.

His gaze slowly drifted upward, and then he saw it... a mosquito, two or three centimeters long, entirely black, with hints of blood-red in its compound eyes, looking down on him from above.

Species: unknown.

But the most striking feature was the six wings on its back.

’It’s here!’

’Is this the... clone of the Mosquito Daoist from the system prompt?’

’Can I absorb this thing? Will absorbing it let me evolve?’

Chu Sheng pondered this silently, but on the surface, he maintained his exhausted appearance. In truth, he really was utterly drained!

The system had never triggered a prompt before the God-devouring Needle made contact with absorbable Energy. This was the only exception!

The system had taken the initiative to alert him before he had even noticed anything himself!

This meant that the six-winged black mosquito before him was by no means ordinary... It was an absolute tonic!

This was also why Chu Sheng had forcefully interrupted his Instant Teleportation to stay behind.

...

As Chu Sheng’s gaze continued upward, the two mosquitoes finally locked eyes!

In that instant, Chu Sheng felt... as if he had been seen through completely!

”BZZZ...”

The Mosquito Daoist clone’s voice sounded again, and Chu Sheng could understand its words directly:

”How very peculiar.”

”To think there’s a Mosquito Beast Bloodline in this world that I, the Mosquito Daoist, am unaware of.”

”Never mind. Seeing as you’ve exhausted your energy, there’s no need to pay homage. Junior, do you know of me?”

Chu Sheng’s mind stirred, and he shook his head with great effort.

’Playing dumb is the best choice right now. This Mosquito Daoist didn’t show up earlier or later, but at the very last moment. He must have a motive.’

’I’d like to see what this mosquito is planning!’

”Heh heh, it seems the legends of this Daoist have faded from this era.”

”Listen well!”

”This one is known as the Mosquito Daoist, born from the Netherworld Sea of Blood. I am a congenital fiendgod on par with the likes of Taiyi, Kunpeng, and the Ancestral Witches. I am the head of the five insects, the ancestor of all mosquitoes!”

As the Mosquito Daoist spoke, it observed Chu Sheng’s reaction.

Finally, Chu Sheng spoke for the first time.

”BZZZ. (Oh.)”

That was it.

...

The Mosquito Daoist froze for a moment, a flash of annoyance flickering in its eyes.

It had patiently introduced itself with the aim of inspiring awe and reverence in this junior, all for its future plans.

But this little mosquito reacted like an idiot. Was that all?

In reality, it hadn’t been boasting. Its reputation in the Ancient Times had indeed been immense.

However, what it failed to mention was that for all its greatness, this reputation was an infamous one.

Notorious, in the worst way possible.

Its proboscis could drain the Essence Blood of all living things and the Spiritual Qi from Magical Treasures, and its digestion was incredibly fast. With this ability, it had drained countless things during the Ancient Times, earning the hatred of all who encountered it!

Most importantly...

Its current body and consciousness were merely one of the Mosquito Daoist’s countless clones, not even in the same league as the main body.

During the Ancient Times, this very clone had attempted to drain the Essence Blood of the Twelve Ancestral Witches. After being discovered, it was suppressed and imprisoned within the oil of the Candle of Time for millions of years!

It was only a moment ago, when the commotion caused by Chu Sheng and Gu Yuexi extinguished the Candle of Time, that it had a chance to escape!

And now...

After being trapped for millions of years, its Cultivation and magical power had plummeted tens of thousands of times over! It was ravenously hungry, and the thing it wanted to do most right now was... suck!

The moment Chu Sheng had entered the second level, he had drawn its attention!

Within this ordinary-looking mosquito’s body was a Bloodline Power that made even its heart flutter with trepidation!

For its current self, this was the ultimate tonic! Especially since Chu Sheng was of the same kind!

Therefore, its desire to drain Chu Sheng grew even stronger!

But!

It was also cautious enough!

It was incredibly weak at the moment, so it had to find the perfect opportunity!

Even though Chu Sheng appeared completely exhausted, it still decided to err on the side of caution and proceed one step at a time!

Waiting for the perfect moment!

...

And so it was.

A six-winged black mosquito, and a sacred mosquito of reincarnation.

Two of a kind, each secretly regarding the other as a ”great tonic”!

The Mosquito Daoist clone, seeing that Chu Sheng showed no reverence for the ”ancestor of all mosquitoes,” changed the subject again.

It continued to buzz:

”Never mind. Too much time has passed, after all. It’s normal that you don’t recognize me.

”I saw everything that just happened in the main hall.”

”That pathetic Ancient Emperor, reborn through possession, actually dared to plot against our Mosquito Beast clan!”

”As the ancestor of all mosquitoes, this Daoist simply cannot stand by and watch!”

The Mosquito Daoist’s tone sounded utterly furious!

Hearing this, Chu Sheng’s mind raced.

He immediately feigned a similar fury and buzzed:

”That’s right! That Qin Wudao is despicable!”

”I was the one who opened the door to the third level! The opportunity inside belongs to me!”

”He actually beat me to it! When he comes out, I will have my revenge and take back what’s mine!”

The Mosquito Daoist heard this and buzzed disdainfully:

”Hmph, wait for him to come out? By the time he emerges, having already absorbed the opportunity, will you still be his match?”

”Besides, the Lifespan curse of this Divine Hall is still active. Can you even wait until he comes out?”

Chu Sheng’s eyes shifted:

”Then... then what should I do?”

”Ancestor Mosquito, do you have a way to help me? We’re the same kind, after all!”

Seeing that Chu Sheng had finally taken the bait, the Mosquito Daoist forcibly suppressed its desire and continued:

”Fine. Seeing as you’re the first junior of my kind I’ve met since awakening, this Daoist will help you.”

”This Daoist happens to know a way to reopen the Gate of Time to the third level.”

”Furthermore, this Daoist can also help you break the Array set up by that Ancient Emperor and help you escape.”

”However...”

The Mosquito Daoist clone’s tone became hesitant.

Chu Sheng immediately asked ”anxiously”:

”However what?”

”Ancestor Mosquito, can you really break this Array? And reopen the Gate of Time?”

The Mosquito Daoist said proudly:

”Hmph, of course! What, you don’t believe me?”

”A mere Emperor Realm cultivator? In the past, this Daoist could crush countless of them with a single mosquito leg!”

”However, this Daoist has slumbered for millennia and is currently too weak. I need to absorb some Essence Blood and Spiritual Qi to recover some of my power.”

”As a fellow mosquito, you should know this, right?”

Chu Sheng warily crawled to his feet and said hesitantly:

”Ancestor Mosquito? You’re not... thinking of sucking my blood, are you?”

Seeing his suspicious expression, the Mosquito Daoist replied, displeased:

”Hm?”

”Are you suggesting that this Daoist would covet that little bit of Essence Blood you have?”

”Hmph, rest assured. This Daoist only needs a single drop of your blood to slightly recover my dormant power.”

”If you’re unwilling to part with even a single drop, then let’s just say we were not fated to meet. You can be on your way.”

As it spoke, the Mosquito Daoist actually showed signs of leaving.

Chu Sheng quickly buzzed:

”Really, just one drop?”

The Mosquito Daoist turned back:

”Heh heh, this Daoist never lies.”

Chu Sheng hesitated for a moment, then said:

”Alright, one drop it is!”

With that,

he gently pierced his own mosquito leg.

A drop of pale golden blood slowly floated toward the Mosquito Daoist.
