System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

At the entrance of the Dean’s office, Tang Zhongqi’s forehead furrowed deeply, his face full of confusion as he looked at Lin Qianlong.

His tone was somber: ”Director Lin, is this necessary? What is Lu Cheng’s background?”

Tang Zhongqi really couldn’t think of a specific reason why Lin Qianlong had to bring such a trivial issue to the dean.

Du Gaofeng ended up taking the blame and has been verbally warned, no need to think about climbing up in the next two years.

Lin Qianlong looked at Tang Zhongqi and said, ”Director Tang, Lu Cheng is our emergency department’s backbone, a pioneer, single-handedly performing surgeries that general and orthopedic departments can’t do. He’s the innovator of new surgical techniques in our hospital!”

”Completed the first Spleen Preservation Surgery at our hospital, and the first completely comprehensive multiple tendon rupture Suturing Skill!”

”What do you want? Do you want my life?”

Tang Zhongqi was shocked: ”This Lu Cheng wasn’t in orthopedics before, didn’t he just transfer to your emergency department?”

He still remembered Lu Cheng because he was the one who processed Lu Cheng’s application to transfer to the emergency department, mainly because Lu Cheng’s primary education left a deep impression on him.

Undergraduate at Han City University, considered the best first academic level in the whole hospital.

”He’s now with our emergency department, with thirty percent of the surgeries held up by him alone.”

”What do you, Tang Zhongqi, want? Tell me! Draw a line or does someone else want something?” Lin Qianlong pointed at Tang Zhongqi and asked.

A pockmarked face coldly and fiercely, chest heaving with anger.

Tang Zhongqi knew very well that Lin Qianlong understood the situation, yet Lin Qianlong chose not to expose the core of the matter, he just wanted to resolve the issue rather than dig into the roots.

”Director Lin, it’s my fault, I suddenly remembered this matter and heard Lu Cheng was performing manipulative reduction in the emergency department, which led me to ask Du Gaofeng to relay a message to Dr. Lu Cheng.”

”Director Lin, you also know, the intricacies of manipulative reduction are quite complex, different fractures require different manipulative reductions, which strictly speaking falls within the scope of Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital’s orthopedic operations…” Tang Zhongqi continued to explain.

Lin Qianlong rolled his eyes: ”Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital can perform modern medical surgeries on fractures, can’t Renmin Hospital do Traditional Chinese Medicine manipulative reduction?”

”Who stipulated that?”

”Director Tang, have you forgotten what kind of hospital we are? We are Long County People’s Hospital, with already limited patient sources.”

”The people who break new ground still get shot in the back, this is disheartening…”

”Not to forget, Dean Peng is heavily supporting our hospital’s doctors in continually learning new surgical techniques and expanding new services.”

”The main task of our county health bureau is to continually improve the service system of our County Hospital. This is bona fide performance, and here you are causing trouble, are you mad…”

The development strategy for county medical health is essentially to continuously improve the treatment capacity for diseases, which is almost the core performance sought by all County Hospitals.

The first instance of a certain surgical technique in the county, the first chief surgeon of a certain surgery, the first treatment of a certain disease—all worthy of reporting.

The core performance of the leaders above is also displayed through this.

However, most people are aware of their limited learning capabilities, remain in their comfort zones, and dare not take on responsibilities, so everyone just muddles through.

Yet when you encounter someone capable of bringing this kind of political achievement, you must think carefully if you’re going to affect others’ futures…

Tang Zhongqi’s face fell as he nodded: ”Director Lin, my work was not meticulous enough, my understanding of our hospital staff was not detailed enough.”

Tang Zhongqi sighed: ”Had I known Dr. Lu is such a skilled person, I, Tang Zhongqi, must be mad to act this way.”

Lin Qianlong also explained: ”If I chop off your hand, and you promise not to blame me, only when you agree to this point will I kneel down and apologize to you.”

”Otherwise, this time I offended you, Director Tang!”

”Regarding this matter, if you have any questions, you can come at me!” Lin Qianlong cupped his hands in farewell, very formally expressing his stance.

Lu Cheng’s development not only concerns himself but also the emergency department, closely tied to Lin Qianlong.

Without major achievements, everyone competes in interpersonal relations, but with major achievements, whoever blocks the way must ’perish’!

Cutting off someone’s financial path is like killing their parents, cutting off someone’s prospects is like digging up their ancestors’ graves.

Tang Zhongqi could only brace himself to suffer in silence, but he was clearly the ”victim,” yet had to find a way to appease Du Gaofeng, whose demotion was due to his actions, this matter indeed was stinky from head to toe.

No one pursued why Tang Zhongqi wanted to revoke Lu Cheng’s surgical privileges; it wasn’t important. What mattered was Tang Zhongqi issued the order, and he had the authority to do so.

Tang Zhongqi, you’re an adult and a leader, if you can’t even decide whether to give orders, step down sooner and be done with it.

...

After returning to the emergency department, Lin Qianlong immediately went to the director’s office, washed his hair at the faucet, then began to style it with a hairdryer.

Knowing Lin Qianlong was back, and it happened that Zhang Tiesheng was on duty in the ward, he slipped in immediately: ”How is it? Director Lin, is everything alright?”

”I’m fine, Du Gaofeng from the general duty office went to the archives room, Tang Zhongqi received a verbal warning inside the hospital!”

”If they hadn’t provoked Lu Cheng, I wouldn’t have been so aggressive…”

Zhang Tiesheng chuckled, adjusted his glasses, not blaming Lin Qianlong for protecting Lu Cheng: ”Director Lin, daring to touch the ’sales champion’ of our department deserves more than death.”

”To be realistic, last month’s performance, twenty percent came from Xiao Lu,” Zhang Tiesheng grinned.

”Moreover, Lu Cheng’s current mastery of Spleen Preservation Surgery and Gallbladder Preservation Surgery has reached a certain level, so based on Spleen Removal Surgery and Gallbladder Removal Surgery, we can gradually initiate new surgeries.”

”This learning cycle can be stretched very long.”

”Tang Zhongqi, he’s truly ridiculous.”

Lin Qianlong looked at Zhang Tiesheng and suddenly said: ”Zhang Tiesheng, we shouldn’t be too realistic, friendship still matters.”

Zhang Tiesheng raised his head: ”Lu Cheng is my close buddy, our friendship is great.”

”Director Lin, feelings need an opportunity, either a fleeting glance or being attracted by someone’s appearance, then a subsequent story unfolds…”

”Xiao Lu is straightforward too!”

Zhang Tiesheng also responded subtly.

The implication being, Lu Cheng has long shown that he’s worth befriending, as Zhang Tiesheng’s true confidant; the feelings are genuine!

Although feelings are developed through interaction, a trigger is sometimes necessary.

For example, others like Du Daihua, Han Xiaoping, and Tian Zhuang, Zhang Tiesheng also has acquaintanceship with them, but it is limited to that.

In other words, the slow-to-warm goddess you perceive might be stepped on by someone else…
