Super Gene Hunting Ground

Yang Xiao felt a tremor in his mind, as an external spiritual power began to invade, slowly expanding, attempting to control him.

”Damn!”

Yang Xiao was startled, urgently resisting, concentrating, focusing his breath, fighting against the invasion of the external spiritual power.

Thus, Yang Xiao’s spiritual power and Wu Dai’s consciousness engaged in a fierce battle within his mind.

Yang Xiao felt like his head was splitting, as if thousands of troops were storming into his mind, inch by inch occupying his consciousness.

Originally, Yang Xiao’s spiritual power was particularly strong, especially after cultivating his spiritual power with Elder Ye, sorting books in the library, and controlling fallen leaves under the big tree; his spiritual power was not something an ordinary person could compare to.

However, Wu Dai was an extraordinary expert at the Emperor Level Middle Stage Realm; his spiritual power was naturally higher than Yang Xiao’s. After more than ten minutes of fierce combat, Yang Xiao felt his spiritual power slowly being devoured by the other party, and his consciousness became somewhat blurred.

”Damn, if this continues, it’s over.”

”Hey, Wu Dai, stop, let’s discuss this.”

”Haha, brat, your spiritual power is pretty strong, being able to hold on for so long. However, there’s nothing to discuss; I’ll soon be able to take over your consciousness and seize your body, haha....”

Yang Xiao steeled his heart, drew a longsword, and said:

”If you don’t stop, I’ll commit suicide; we’ll perish together.”

”Buzz!”

The battle in Yang Xiao’s mind suddenly ceased, presumably shocking Wu Dai as well.

A moment later, a voice came from within his mind,

”Brat, are you willing to commit suicide? If you die, you lose everything. That girl you held last night was nice, very pretty,”

”Shut up!”

As soon as Yang Xiao thought about his body being controlled by Wu Dai, wouldn’t it be Wu Dai living afterward?

This thought made Yang Xiao feel nauseated, more determined not to accept it.

”Wu Dai, if you want to control my consciousness, I’ll go down with you. I believe that if I die, you won’t be able to form your soul ball and can’t be reborn again.”

The inside of Yang Xiao’s mind was silent; he knew he had hit Wu Dai’s weak spot.

After a moment, Wu Dai chuckled and said:

”Brat, you’re right. If you die, my consciousness will indeed disappear with you because I can only be reborn once; I must wait until I successfully seize a body to condense a second consciousness soul ball, only then can I have a second chance for rebirth.

However, I’d like to bet with you, bet that you don’t dare to die, won’t die, are reluctant to die, how about it? Haha....”

Yang Xiao was suddenly taken aback.

This Wu Dai was indeed formidable, instantly countering Yang Xiao.

Suddenly, an idea brightened Yang Xiao’s mind, and he sneered:

”Alright, since you want to bet with me, I’ll oblige you.”

”...”

Yang Xiao suddenly initiated the Heavenly Silkworm Technique, sat cross-legged on the floor, restrained his aura, and entered a dying state.

Soon, Yang Xiao entered a state of unconsciousness.

Wu Dai was startled, wanting to stop Yang Xiao immediately, only to find Yang Xiao’s consciousness had already vanished, and Wu Dai’s consciousness was drifting into boundless darkness.

Wu Dai’s consciousness was built upon Yang Xiao’s consciousness; if Yang Xiao lost consciousness, Wu Dai’s consciousness couldn’t manifest either.

If the skin is gone, what can hair attach to?

Yang Xiao had already cultivated the Heavenly Silkworm Technique to the highest level, reaching a point where he could enter a dying state at will.

Yang Xiao didn’t know how many times he had practiced the Heavenly Silkworm Technique, but every time he entered a dying state, there would be some improvement in genetic evolution.

However, as he practiced the Heavenly Silkworm Technique more and more, this effect of promoting genetic evolution became weaker and weaker, until now, it was almost ineffective, so Yang Xiao used the Heavenly Silkworm Technique less frequently.

Occasionally practicing it, he had to combine it with the Life and Death Iteration Law to gain some genetic evolution enhancement effects.

Yang Xiao suddenly thought that as long as he entered a dying state, Wu Dai wouldn’t be able to control his consciousness temporarily and seize his body.

Twenty-four hours later, Yang Xiao slowly awakened, opened his eyes.

”Are you dead yet?”

”Why aren’t you answering me? Could it be you’re dead?”

Yang Xiao felt a surge of excitement, suddenly, Wu Dai’s cursing voice came from his mind,

”You brat, what kind of evil cultivation technique is this, being able to lose consciousness for 24 hours, it’s too wicked.”

”Oh, you’re not dead yet?”

”Hmph, dreaming of my death, you thought too much. Now I’ll control your consciousness; let’s see what else you can do.”

Wu Dai roared angrily, launching another attack on Yang Xiao.

Yang Xiao immediately felt his mind become chaotic, as two consciousnesses engaged in an intense battle, causing unbearable pain.

”Fine, I’ll die in front of you, we’ll go down together!”

Yang Xiao drew a longsword, thrusting it towards his heart.

”Squeak!”

The longsword pierced the heart, and Yang Xiao collapsed to the ground.

Wu Dai’s consciousness was instantly shocked; he never expected Yang Xiao would really use that sword to stab him. This young man is truly ruthless!

”Hey, kid, you’ve got guts. I won’t seize your consciousness anymore. Hurry up and take some antidote, come back to life quickly.”

”I won’t live anymore!”

After saying these four words, Yang Xiao tilted his head and fell to the ground.

Wu Dai’s consciousness also fell into boundless darkness in terror.

After twenty-four hours, Yang Xiao gradually woke up again.

This time, Yang Xiao used the cultivation technique of the Life and Death Iteration Law. However, he rarely ran the Life and Death Iteration Law through suicide; he generally used it with the Heavenly Silkworm Technique.

But this time, he decided to take the risk. With his familiarity with the Life and Death Iteration Law, he felt confident of success.

When Yang Xiao woke up, the wound on his chest had already healed, not even a scar could be seen.

After Yang Xiao’s consciousness recovered, Wu Dai’s consciousness also slowly came back.

For Wu Dai’s rebirth, he not only needed Yang Xiao’s living body but also Yang Xiao’s consciousness as a carrier; otherwise, Wu Dai’s consciousness would lose the foundation for rebirth.

For Wu Dai, there was another problem with his rebirth. If he chose to reside in Yang Xiao’s body, before successfully seizing control, Yang Xiao could not continuously enter a near-death state, as this would weaken his consciousness and soul.

Yang Xiao had already ”died” twice consecutively, Wu Dai felt his consciousness became slightly weakened and was very anxious.

He was terrified of Yang Xiao going again; he really couldn’t understand this young man, how could he possess such bizarre cultivation technique, who knows what other ways he might ”die”?

As soon as Wu Dai’s consciousness recovered, he immediately shouted:

”Young man, your body is a gift from your parents, how can you be so reckless and impulsive, harming yourself this way, does your mother know?”

Yang Xiao shouted angrily:

”I’d rather die with you than let you possess my body. Just thinking about it makes me sick, let’s do it again!”

As Yang Xiao spoke, he raised the longsword once more towards his chest.

Wu Dai panicked and hurriedly said:

”Stop, stop, listen, young man, don’t be impulsive, I decide not to seize your body anymore or control your consciousness, don’t rush, otherwise, if you kill yourself again, we’re finished for sure.”

Wu Dai had no choice but to relent.

Actually, Yang Xiao wasn’t really planning to stab himself again, he just made a show of determination.

”You keep your word.”

”...”

”If you don’t speak, I’ll go ahead and die, we’ll go down together, yeah!”

Yang Xiao shouted again, lifting the sword towards his neck.

Wu Dai felt that coming to the Witch Star was like encountering ghosts, not only complete annihilation but this young man was like a demon, damn, how is he not afraid of death, could he be mentally challenged?

”Stop, stop, you win, I promise, I’ll keep my word. How can you be so impulsive, young man?”

Yang Xiao held the sword to his neck, speaking with unyielding resolve:

”I don’t believe your words, you must swear?”

”Swear? Swear about what?”

”You must swear that if you ever plot to control my consciousness or seize my body again, you will... never be reborn, and your family will perish!”

”...”

”If you don’t swear, you’re deceiving me, no sincerity, I might as well kill myself.”

Yang Xiao said, applying force to his hand, causing a bloodied gash on his neck.

Wu Dai was almost manic, shouting crazily:

”Stop, stop, alright, I’ll swear, is that okay? You young man, how can you be so crazy, you’re the craziest person I’ve ever seen, almost recklessly stupid!”

Wu Dai never dreamed that body seizing would end up such a mess, Yang Xiao’s spiritual power was extraordinarily strong, and it’s impossible to seize control in a short time.

Especially, this kid was able to use the moment of consciousness clarity to initiate suicide threats, and he’d do it, stabbing his own heart as if it belonged to someone else.

Wu Dai sighed and said:

”I swear, from today forth, I will neither control your consciousness nor seize your body; otherwise, I will never be reborn, satisfied?”

”And your family will perish.”

”Is it necessary to be so harsh? My family is on Dwarf Star, they’ve done nothing to you.”

”Hurry up, cut the nonsense.”

Yang Xiao said as he gripped the sword, ready to apply force once more.

”Alright, I swear, my family will perish!”

”...”

Yang Xiao sat on the ground, exhausted from experiencing two near-death states, feeling very fatigued. If not for his strong physique at the Empire Level Advanced realm, he likely wouldn’t have held up.

Wu Dai’s soul and consciousness sulked in Yang Xiao’s mind, too lazy to disturb Yang Xiao.

Suddenly, Yang Xiao asked:

”Hey, Wu Dai, if you’re not seizing my body, what about your consciousness and soul?”
