Super Gene Hunting Ground

”Ah?”

Xiao Ling opened her mouth wide, eyes round, looking at Yang Xiao.

She hadn’t seen a dragon, but, based on her common sense, deduced that someone as young as Long Xiang reaching the Empire Middle Level Realm meant her Genetic Evolution Talent was absolutely exceptional.

”Our academy can only conduct a relatively simple genetic test. If a more detailed genetic test is needed, you can go to the Flying Leopard Empire Genetic Research Institute, but—”

”But what?” Yang Xiao looked at Xiao Ling.

Xiao Ling paused for a moment and said:

”The Genetic Research Institute has a project specifically studying demon beast genes. If they find a demon beast with Genetic Evolution Talent, they’ll also research how to use the demon beast genes to enhance human genetic evolution.”

”You mean?”

”As a member of the Dragon Clan, if Long Xiang’s genes have evolutionary advantages, they can also be used for humans.”

Yang Xiao was startled upon hearing this and asked:

”If her genes are used to enhance human genes?”

Xiao Ling thought for a moment and said:

”I’m not entirely clear on the specifics. All I know is that, roughly speaking, it involves referencing the demon beast’s genetic structure to modify human genes,

or grafting the demon beast’s genes onto the human body, much like getting a vaccine,

both methods require advanced technology and complex research for support, not something that can be completed in a short time.”

Yang Xiao held a tea cup, took a sip, and said:

”I’m just taking Long Xiang for a test to see what’s going on. Her genetic evolution speed is just too fast, far beyond the ordinary, much faster than mine.”

...

After chatting for a while, Yang Xiao and Xiao Ling left Long Xiang and Bing’er at the villa for the night while they went to Xiao Ling’s mentor dormitory to rest.

The next day, Xiao Ling took Long Xiang to the academy’s laboratory for a test, drawing blood from Long Xiang to test genetic structure and evaluate the quality of genetic evolution.

The results of this test were supposed to take a day to come out, but Xiao Ling arranged for the testing personnel to start the experiment immediately. Two hours later, the personnel exclaimed several times and handed a test report to Xiao Ling.

Xiao Ling took the test report and was immediately stunned.

According to the academy’s testing standards, all new student admission genetic tests would have a comment: qualified, good, excellent.

Yang Xiao’s genetic test results back in the day were classified as unqualified, essentially garbage level.

At this moment, Long Xiang’s genetic test report had a line of comment:

All test data exceeds excellent level, this person’s Genetic Evolution Talent is considered superexcellent.

”Superexcellent?”

Xiao Ling was shocked. She had been responsible for new student orientation for over four years, handling thousands of students, and this was the first time encountering a genetic test result labeled ”superexcellent.”

You must know, out of so many students, most of their genetic test results were good, and excellent ones were rare.

The test data completely exceeds excellent, belonging to superexcellent.

Xiao Ling was momentarily unable to comprehend, asking the testing personnel:

”What does superexcellent mean? The genetic testing standards don’t have this category.”

”Xiao Ling, Tutor, we can’t provide a specific standard, either. This student’s genetic test results far surpass the standard of excellence, so we gave it a superexcellent level.”

After drawing blood in the genetic research lab, Long Xiang started playing around with Bing’er. Bing’er was very familiar with Flying Leopard Academy, and many people knew Bing’er as Yang Xiao’s niece, also aware of her being under Xiao Ling’s tutelage. Besides Bing’er being polite, many people liked her.

Bing’er was already a legendary presence in Flying Leopard Academy.

Long Xiang didn’t care about her Genetic Evolution Talent, happily playing around with Bing’er after blood drawing.

Xiao Ling took the test report back to her dormitory to hand it to Yang Xiao.

”Take a look, Long Xiang’s genetic test report.”

Seeing Xiao Ling’s excited expression, Yang Xiao reached out, glanced at it,

”Holy crap, superexcellent? I still remember when I entered Flying Leopard Academy and you categorized me as garbage level, not allowing me to enroll, remember?”

Xiao Ling recalled the first time meeting Yang Xiao and smiling upon remembering how she tried to expel him several times.

”The Dragon Clan is inherently an exceptional race among demon beasts; Long Xiang’s possessing excellent Genetic Evolution Ability is understandable. But, Yang Xiao, what do you plan to do?”

Yang Xiao paused,

”What do you mean, plan to do?”

”If you send Long Xiang to the Genetic Research Institute, once her genetic secrets are unlocked, it could significantly raise your genetic evolution limit, allowing you to progress further along the evolution path.”

Yang Xiao hesitated and said:

”This matter stops here for now, keeping it confidential. I don’t want to impose unnecessary trouble on Long Xiang. Do those testing personnel know Long Xiang?”

Xiao Ling said:

”Rest assured, no one knows Long Xiang. I handled today’s test privately, and I’ve already had my friends in the testing lab destroy the results; no one knows Long Xiang’s true identity.”

Yang Xiao nodded approvingly.

...

Inside a laboratory of the Great Dragon Empire Genetic Research Institute, dozens of people were intensely operating equipment, waiting for a long-awaited result.

After a period of tense busyness and anxious waiting, a manager in the research lab suddenly excitedly shouted:

”Yay, we finally successfully developed the Dragon Clan Genetic Potion, yay!”

”Boss, did we really succeed in developing the Dragon Clan Genetic Potion?”

A middle-aged man laughed heartily, shaking a bottle of blue potion in front of everyone, saying:

”This is the Dragon Clan Genetic Potion, different from the genetic potion typically consumed for human evolution.”

”This Dragon Clan Genetic Potion isn’t meant to elevate evolution level directly; instead, it’s injected into the body to enhance internal genetic structure, achieving evolutionary advantages akin to the Dragon Clan.”

”Boss, is this Dragon Clan Genetic Evolution Potion reliable?”

”Reliable, of course, very reliable. Now that the potion is successfully developed, we’ll immediately conduct practical testing on a human body. If successful, we can mass-produce this Dragon Clan Genetic Potion.”

”Then we’ll be rich, won’t we?”

”Oh, you have no ambition, only thinking of wealth. I’m telling you, once this genetic potion is widely promoted, making money is minor; importantly, we can cultivate a great number of Genetic Evolution Experts for the Great Dragon Empire.

Once we have people on our side, we won’t fear the alliance between the Flying Leopard Empire and Great Dragon Empire.”

”Boss, this matter must be quickly reported to the Eldest Prince and Emperor, let them enjoy the news.”

”The two dragons inside the Genetic Research Institute are indeed extraordinary. Without their blood contributions, we couldn’t have completed this task.

If the Dragon Clan Genetic Potion is successfully configured and widely distributed, our Great Dragon Empire shall truly transform into the legend of Divine Dragon, ruling the entire Witch Star.”
