Super Gene Hunting Ground

”Yang Xiao will soon break through to the Emperor Level Realm?”

The Flying Leopard Emperor was shocked, his eyes flashing like lightning as he looked at Elder Wanyan Cuo in the Cultivation Hall.

Since First War General Wanyan Kang broke through to the Emperor Level Realm thirty years ago, the Flying Leopard Empire hasn’t seen anyone reach this realm in decades.

But Yang Xiao’s current genetic evolution level is only at the Empire Middle Level, and he’s only been cultivating at the Imperial College for just over a month. How could he possibly break through to such a forgotten realm?

”Uncle, are you sure you’re not mistaken? Yang Xiao hasn’t even reached the Empire Advanced Level!”

”I’m not mistaken.”

Wanyan Cuo said confidently,

”With my decades of experience, Yang Xiao will definitely break through to the Emperor Level Realm, and the speed will far exceed our understanding.”

”Why are you so sure?”

”If I recall correctly, Your Majesty, when you entered the Imperial College to cultivate the Flying Leopard Divine Skill, you could soak in the medicinal water every other day, making your cultivation speed very fast compared to ordinary people.”

The Flying Leopard Emperor nodded,

”Indeed, back then you were amazed at my cultivation speed and worried about any abnormalities in my body.”

”But do you know Yang Xiao’s current cultivation speed?”

”Hmm?”

”Yang Xiao entered the Imperial College with an Empire Middle Level realm, and logically should start soaking in level one medicinal water. However, he skipped directly to level five medicinal water for cultivation.”

”Ah, is such a thing possible?”

Regarding Yang Xiao’s cultivation, Wanyan Cuo did not inform the Flying Leopard Emperor until he was fully certain.

The Flying Leopard Emperor, busy with imperial affairs, had no interest in Yang Xiao’s cultivation. To him, Yang Xiao’s Empire Middle Level realm, even if he were to break through to Advanced Level, would likely take years. As for reaching the Emperor Level Realm, he hadn’t considered it.

”Not only that, Yang Xiao now insists on soaking in the medicinal water every day, never missing a session. He is now using level six medicinal water, and his Flying Leopard Divine Skill has reached the third stage.”

”What, a mere month and he’s in the third stage?”

The Flying Leopard Emperor exclaimed.

”Also, in this one month, he has increased his genetic attributes three times, a total of 12 points.”

”Ah?”

”Furthermore, the amount of medicinal water he uses is double that of others. Others use one vat; he needs two.”

”...”

The Flying Leopard Emperor was utterly dumbfounded, staring blankly at Wanyan Cuo with his mouth agape.

What Wanyan Cuo just mentioned, each fact was impressive on its own, let alone Yang Xiao possessing all these remarkable conditions.

”According to my speculation, Yang Xiao will likely break through to the Empire Advanced Level realm in about half a year, and break through to the Emperor Level Realm in about three years. Such speed has never been recorded in the history of the Flying Leopard Empire, no, in the history of Witch Star.”

Wanyan Cuo remarked with admiration.

This conclusion was drawn from multiple verifications over the past month, by reviewing extensive historical records of Empire Level evolvers, and it was remarkably accurate, if not perfect.

The Flying Leopard Emperor was internally excited, taking a deep breath as he finally returned to his senses, looking at Wanyan Cuo.

”Uncle, based on your assessment, will Yang Xiao’s breakthrough to the Emperor Level Realm be beneficial or detrimental to us?”

Wanyan Cuo sighed:

”Whether good or bad, neither you nor I can stop it. A prodigy like Yang Xiao, even if he doesn’t break through within our Flying Leopard Empire, will eventually overcome the evolution bottleneck elsewhere.

Rather than let him advance elsewhere, it would be better if he does so within our Flying Leopard Empire; it would be a monumental blessing. At least I believe Yang Xiao is not one to forget benefactors.

As of now, Yang Xiao is our ally. By owing us this favor, even if he doesn’t repay us, he wouldn’t harm us, would he?”

To be honest, for a potential Emperor Level evolver emerging, the Flying Leopard Emperor’s first reaction was filled with vigilance and alertness.

This world belongs to the strong, and the arrival of a powerful figure is sure to alter the existing world dynamics.

Yang Xiao is neither a prince of the Flying Leopard Empire nor a member of the Wanyan royal family, so the Flying Leopard Emperor’s caution is understandable.

After First War General Wanyan Kang broke through to the Emperor Level Realm, it brought significant shocks and changes to the original interests of the Flying Leopard Empire.

Wanyan Kang colluded with the Second Prince and the richest man Qin Chuan, forming an interest group to share imperial power once the Second Prince ascended the throne.

The Flying Leopard Emperor was aware of this matter, but for the sake of stability, as long as Wanyan Kang did not cause significant trouble, he turned a blind eye.

Now, with Yang Xiao suddenly appearing, he had every reason to be alarmed.

After a moment of contemplation, the Flying Leopard Emperor said:

”Yang Xiao is still a few years away from breaking through to the Emperor Level Realm. Let’s observe him properly. If he harbors ambitions harmful to our Flying Leopard Empire, we can eliminate him before he breaks through. If he continues to support us as before, supporting the Eldest Prince, then we can sincerely support him as well.”

Wanyan Cuo pondered for a moment and said:

”Your Majesty, Yang Xiao currently lacks the power to oppose us, and we don’t have direct conflicts of interest with him. However, I do have a suggestion.”

”What suggestion?”

”We can win over Yang Xiao before he breaks through to the Emperor Level Realm, such as by finding a princess to marry him, turning us into one family. Wouldn’t that make the alliance even more solid?”

The Flying Leopard Emperor’s eyes lit up upon hearing this,

”Oh, this is indeed a good method you mentioned, why didn’t I think of that? The Ninth Princess is already twenty, it’s about time she married. She’s also good-looking, so she can marry Yang Xiao.”

Wanyan Cuo laughed and said:

”If Your Majesty decides, you can have someone arrange it. If it’s successful, it would be a win-win situation.”

”However, marriage is about fate. What if Yang Xiao doesn’t agree?”

”If Yang Xiao doesn’t agree, it’s no loss to us. But what if he does agree? Moreover, we can first arrange for the Ninth Princess and Yang Xiao to meet and see how they feel about each other before making further arrangements.”

”Good, arranging it this way won’t make Yang Xiao feel uncomfortable.

Uncle, regarding Yang Xiao’s matter, keep it confidential and don’t spread it outside.”

”Rest assured, Your Majesty, I am extra cautious with this matter. I have only told you, and I won’t tell anyone else.”

...

The Ninth Princess, Wanyan Ling, is the Eldest Prince’s younger sister, over ten years his junior.

At the age of twenty, the Ninth Princess possesses a slender figure and captivating beauty, with an active and lively personality.

As a princess of the Flying Leopard Empire, she is naturally a genetic evolution cultivator, but her current genetic evolution is just at the King Level Peak Realm, still some distance from breaking through to the Empire Level Realm.

Most of the time, the Ninth Princess receives private training in the Royal Palace. Her original plan was to enter the Imperial College or Flying Leopard Academy for cultivation after breaking through to the Empire Level Realm.

The Imperial College only admits royal offspring and high-ranking officials’ children above the Empire Level Realm. The Ninth Princess did not wish to break this rule, primarily because she felt that entering the Imperial College without breaking through would make her the weakest, subject to ridicule.

She didn’t want to endure such humiliation.

Wanyan Ling was practicing cultivation skills in the garden when the Eldest Prince Wanyan He came in.

”Oh dear, look at my sister, not only beautiful in appearance but also skilled. Impressive, impressive.”

Wanyan Ling stopped her swordsmanship, giggled, and ran over to take Wanyan He’s arm, saying:

”Oh dear, dear brother, what brings you here today?”

”I was just passing by your little courtyard. I’ve been busy recently, haven’t seen you for a while, so I came to check on you. How have you been lately?”

Wanyan Ling deliberately sighed:

”Alas, I’m so bored. I haven’t broken through to the Empire Level Realm yet, can’t enter the Imperial College for cultivation, and there are few playmates in the Royal Palace. It’s dull and boring.”

”Attending the Flying Leopard Academy wouldn’t be bad. I graduated from there, and I know the headmaster. How about I send you to the Flying Leopard Academy?”

”No, it’s too far. I still prefer the Imperial College, but they only admit those of Empire Level Realm or above. I don’t know when I can break through.”

Wanyan He cleared his throat and said:

”How about this, I happen to be free today and need to visit the Imperial College, how about I take you with me for a visit?”

”Really?”

Wanyan Ling smiled brightly, looking at Wanyan He.
