Super Gene Hunting Ground

The construction of Guangfu City Academy was beginning to take shape, and now there were about three hundred students entering the academy, with several hundred more waiting to enter after passing the selection process. However, due to the limited number of instructors and specialized cultivation fields in the academy, they were temporarily unable to accommodate more students.

The Wildman King, Wind Eagle, and other Elders found Yang Xiao.

”Yang Xiao, you have a good personal relationship with Dean Deng Nan, and you have connections with Flying Leopard Academy and the Flying Leopard Empire. We need you to handle this matter.”

Yang Xiao smiled and said:

”How am I supposed to handle it? Deng Nan has already put himself out by leaving his position as Vice Dean at Flying Leopard Academy to become the Dean of our godforsaken planet’s academy. Now the problem is we don’t have enough instructors, and there are limited particle beam cultivation fields available for improving genetic evolution. Solving these issues isn’t something that can be done quickly.”

The Wildman King smiled and said:

”If we’re short on instructors, then you should recruit more from Flying Leopard Academy with double the salary. We can also build more particle beam training fields; money isn’t an issue for us.”

Yang Xiao: ”...”

”Grandpa, are you trying to poach all the instructors from Flying Leopard Academy?

Moreover, building a particle beam training field isn’t as easy as just deciding to do it. It requires various precious materials, along with rune masters and some high-tech equipment. These indeed require substantial funding but aren’t something that can be resolved just with money,

Do you know how many big and small academies across Witch Star are lined up waiting to build particle beam genetic training fields? The reason we could even preemptively build part of a particle beam training field is because Dean Xinghai from Flying Leopard Academy personally helped gather all the rare materials and invited the rune masters and craftsmen to assist.”

The Wildman King chuckled and said:

”Yang Xiao, I knew you’d have a way; they all give you face. In any case, the academy concerns the future of our Guangfu Clan. You are the Great Chief, and the responsibility is heavy. Only you can solve this matter. We’re all old, never been to Witch Star, haven’t seen the world, and don’t know anyone.....”

Yang Xiao: ”...”

You son of a...!

Of course, Yang Xiao was actually more eager than anyone to quickly complete the construction of Guangfu Academy.

At a loss, Yang Xiao shamelessly invited Dean Deng Nan to a meal and shared his thoughts.

Dean Deng Nan smiled and said:

”Yang Xiao, you’re really not satisfied, are you? Building up to this scale within half a year is already incredibly fast. What more do you want? To surpass Flying Leopard Academy in three years?”

Yang Xiao smiled and said:

”Dean Deng, you’re right in everything you’ve said, and I agree. The situation waits for no one. Our Guangfu Clan is starting from scratch, with a weak foundation. Only by quickly expanding enrollment can we establish a solid foundation for Guangfu Clan’s talent ten years down the line.”

Deng Nan took a sip of his drink and asked:

”What do you want to do? Everything else is easy to say, but getting instructors is a major problem; it’s not something you can just have when you want.”

”I want to go to Flying Leopard Academy and recruit all the graduates from this session.”

Deng Nan: ”.....”

Deng Nan looked at Yang Xiao speechlessly,

”Have you considered how Flying Leopard Emperor would feel about this? The annual graduates of Flying Leopard Academy are the biggest source for the Imperial Guard of Flying Leopard Empire. If you take them all, how is it possible?”

”Hmm, don’t worry, I’ll just recruit one or two hundred instructors, that’s all, haha!”

”Alright, suit yourself, as long as you have the capability.”

...

At the end of the month, Yang Xiao took a transport spaceship from Witch Star to Purple Origin Star and returned to the Flying Leopard Empire.

Yang Xiao first went to Wentian City to see Eldest Prince Wanyan He and shared his thoughts, essentially notifying the Eldest Prince.

Wanyan He smiled and said:

”Try not to recruit too many, a hundred instructors should be enough to temporarily meet your needs.”

”Alright, thank you, Your Highness.”

Yang Xiao needed to take a large number of people from the Flying Leopard Empire to Purple Origin Star, which required the Flying Leopard Emperor’s permission. Otherwise, the families of these instructors might face various punishments in the Flying Leopard Empire. This was why Yang Xiao had to inform the Eldest Prince first and obtain his understanding.

Yang Xiao stayed a day in Wentian City, catching up with old friends like the Prince, Xiao Gang, Liang Bao, and Wang Qian.

Xiao Gang said:

”Yang Xiao, I remember your Go skills are pretty good. Recently, the Flying Leopard Empire is hosting a Go tournament; you should participate.”

Yang Xiao smiled and said:

”What’s the point of this Go tournament? I can’t be bothered to join the crowd.”

”What you don’t know is that in a month’s time, the International Go Exchange Tournament of Witch Star will be held at the Imperial Chess Academy of the Great Dragon Empire. Right now, we’re just selecting the top three experts, but the final matches will be in the Great Dragon Empire.”

Yang Xiao was taken aback,

”The International Go Tournament of Witch Star?”

The Eldest Prince nodded,

”That’s right!”

”Why is it being held in the Great Dragon Empire?”

”Haha, that’s something you might not be aware of. At the Chess Institute of the Great Dragon Empire, there are two current god-level figures who are the highest standing in the Go world of Witch Star.

Oh, by the way, I heard that these two are from Earth, from the same planet as you.”

Yang Xiao’s heart suddenly skipped a beat:

”They’re from Earth?”

”Yes, as you know, playing Go is very beneficial for cultivating spiritual power. A few years ago, the Great Dragon Empire secretly kidnapped two top Go players from Earth. They now teach Go at the Imperial Chess Academy, significantly enhancing the spiritual power cultivation of the Great Dragon Empire’s upper echelon.”

Yang Xiao’s heart raced,

”Your Highness, do you know the names of these two individuals?”

”I really don’t know. We haven’t had the opportunity to interact with these mysterious Earthlings. All we know is that one male and one female,

My father once played a game with them and lost. According to my father, they’re both very young, with extraordinary Go skills beyond ordinary people.

Most people significantly improve their Go skills after a game with them. Your Go skills aren’t bad; why not give it a shot? If you have the chance to place in the top three, you might get to play two games with them.”

Yang Xiao thought for a moment, nodding, and then asked:

”But I have a grudge against the Great Dragon Empire, can I go?”

”Haha, you don’t need to worry about that. The international Go competition rules state that no matter the enemy or grudge, nothing will be pursued during the competition period.

If you manage to secure a spot representing the Flying Leopard Empire, and participate as the State Preceptor, the Emperor of Great Dragon won’t dare to harm you.”

”Alright, then please help me register for the Flying Leopard Empire first.”

”Okay.”

The Eldest Prince nodded.

...

Yang Xiao participated in the Go tournament in the Flying Leopard Empire, going through the preliminary round, semifinals, first round of finals, second round of finals, and ultimate finals, finally winning first place for the Flying Leopard Empire and earning qualification for the Witch Star International Go Tournament.

Second place went to the head of the Imperial Chess Academy of Flying Leopard Empire, Wanyan Hong.

Third place was the Eldest Prince, Wanyan He.

...

With some time left before the Go tournament in the Great Dragon Empire, Yang Xiao took this time to recruit graduates at Flying Leopard Academy.

Yang Xiao posted a large poster on the academy’s information wall.

”Recruitment,

With permission from the Flying Leopard Emperor, the ally of the Flying Leopard Empire, the Guangfu Clan of Purple Origin Star, is now prepared to recruit one hundred outstanding graduates from Flying Leopard Academy to serve as instructors at Guangfu Academy on Purple Origin Star. The salary will be double that of instructors of the same level at Flying Leopard Academy. Those interested, please come to Room 301 in the academy’s office building to register. Contact: Yang Xiao.”

Once the poster was up, it immediately caused a sensation in the academy and quickly spread throughout the whole place.

”Damn, double the salary, whoever doesn’t go is a fool!”
