Super Gene Hunting Ground

Seven or eight years later, the two met on Witch Star, hundreds of light-years away from Earth, without feeling any strangeness or awkwardness, just like before, as warm as a sister and brother.

Yang Xiao and Chen Rong held hands.

”Senior sister, I’ve missed you!”

”Mm, I missed you too.”

The two naturally opened their arms and embraced each other, their faces beaming with excited and happy smiles.

The maids and some staff members who ran over from behind were so shocked at seeing Yang Xiao embracing the dean that their eyes nearly popped out.

The dean had always been like a goddess in their hearts, cold and aloof to everyone except Liu Suifeng, whom she treated intimately, not even gracing the Eldest Prince Long Aotian with a smile despite his long pursuit.

How did she end up hugging Yang Xiao?

Yang Xiao and Chen Rong parted.

Yang Xiao held Chen Rong’s hand and asked with concern:

”Senior sister, master and the others have been searching for you everywhere, why did you come to Witch Star?”

Chen Rong listened and her expression darkened, immediately asking:

”How are my parents? And why are you here on Witch Star? Were you captured by them too?”

Yang Xiao hesitated momentarily and said:

”Senior sister, it’s hard to explain in a few words, find a quiet place, and I’ll tell you.”

Chen Rong nodded and said:

”Follow me.”

With that, she took Yang Xiao’s hand and soared into the sky, flying towards the courtyard on the back mountain of the Chess Institute.

Yang Xiao and Chen Rong were both taken aback.

Yang Xiao was surprised that Chen Rong was now a Genetic Evolver and had surpassed the Emperor Level.

Chen Rong was surprised that Yang Xiao was also a Genetic Evolver and his Realm seemed even higher than hers.

A moment later, the two landed in a secluded courtyard in the backyard.

Chen Rong led Yang Xiao by the hand into the courtyard, excitedly shouting:

”Senior brother, senior brother, look who has come!”

Liu Suifeng, who was inside the room cultivating the Gene Evolution Method, hurriedly stopped upon hearing Chen Rong’s call. He looked up to see junior sister Chen Rong holding the hand of a handsome young man as they walked in.

Liu Suifeng was somewhat stunned, as he knew Chen Rong’s aloof nature too well; she would not talk and laugh with other men casually, much less engage in affectionate gestures like hand-holding.

Who is this young man?

Seeing Liu Suifeng staring blankly at him, Chen Rong smiled and said:

”Senior brother, let me introduce you, this is Yang Xiao, my junior brother, and also your junior brother, but the two of you have never met.”

Yang Xiao let go of Chen Rong’s hand and smiled, saying:

”I know you, Liu Suifeng, Xuanming Country’s number one assassin at Go, Master’s favorite disciple, nice to meet you, senior brother!”

Yang Xiao bowed to Liu Suifeng.

Liu Suifeng was completely dumbfounded.

”You, where are you from? Earth?”

”Yes, I’m from Earth.”

Liu Suifeng looked at Yang Xiao in disbelief, then turned to Chen Rong.

Chen Rong spread her hands and laughed:

”I don’t know anything either. I just reunited with him, it was Yang Xiao who came to find me.”

”Were you also brought here by people from the Great Dragon Empire?” Liu Suifeng looked at Yang Xiao.

Yang Xiao seemed to understand something and said:

”No wonder you two disappeared for so many years without a trace, turns out you were both brought to Witch Star by the Great Dragon Empire’s people.”

”Yang Xiao, how are my parents?”

Chen Rong asked eagerly, after being away from home for years, she could not rest easy about her parents.

Liu Suifeng also looked at Yang Xiao with concern.

Yang Xiao glanced at them, sighed, and said:

”You two need to be prepared,”

The two were shocked,

”What do you mean?”

”Imagine the worst you can about your family, it’s even worse than you think.”

Liu Suifeng: ”...”

Chen Rong: ”...”

”Yang Xiao, what happened? Please tell me, I’m worried sick!”

Chen Rong tugged at Yang Xiao’s hand.

Yang Xiao looked at Chen Rong, lowered his head, and said:

”It’s all gone.”

Chen Rong’s and Liu Suifeng’s bodies trembled, followed by a bewildered expression,

”All gone? What do you mean? Explain clearly.”

Yang Xiao gritted his teeth, steeled his heart, and said:

”Master and Mistress are dead,”

Chen Rong: ”@#$%”

Chen Rong’s eyes widened, dumbfoundedly staring at Yang Xiao, body trembling, her eyes blacked out, and she fell to the ground with a ”thud.”

Liu Suifeng quickly held Chen Rong and shouted:

”Junior sister, Sister Rong,”

Liu Suifeng quickly put a Big Blood Pill into Chen Rong’s mouth, and moments later, Chen Rong slowly woke up, her eyes opened, tears like broken pearls streamed down.

Chen Rong looked at Yang Xiao, sorrowfully asked:

”Yang Xiao, what exactly happened to my family, why my parents,”

Liu Suifeng also said:

”Yang Xiao, you must be mistaken, when we left Earth, Master and Mistress were healthy, and Master was a specially protected national expert, with excellent medical care, how could this happen?”

Yang Xiao glanced at Liu Suifeng and said ruthlessly:

”Your parents are dead too!”

Liu Suifeng’s body shook, as if hit by a Thunder Strike, his mouth agape, staring blankly at Yang Xiao.

Yang Xiao added another sentence,

”Not only are Master and Mistress dead, Liu senior brother’s parents are also dead, and my parents are dead too,”

Liu Suifeng: ”@#￥%”

Chen Rong: ”@#￥%”

”Four years ago, on the night of my enrollment in university, our Earth suffered a catastrophe, when I woke up from the rubble, Earth’s six billion population was reduced to less than a billion,

the survivors were all aged around 18 to 22 years old, all middle-aged people, and children were gone overnight, the place was littered with bodies.”

Chen Rong and Liu Suifeng’s bodies trembled uncontrollably,

”How, how could this happen? What exactly happened? Yang Xiao, why are you on Witch Star? Please tell us!”

Yang Xiao sighed, and briefly told the story.

”It’s roughly like this, the Great Dragon Empire took control of Earth to cultivate genetic evolution slaves, killed tens of billions of Earth’s population without hesitation, then pushed all living things on Earth into genetic evolution,

Earth is now full of demon beast monsters, human activity space has shrunk drastically, the survivors can only gather in cities to barely fight against demon beast attacks.”

After hearing Yang Xiao’s account, Chen Rong thought of her parents, grandparents, and other relatives and friends, her grief soared, fainting several times from crying.

Liu Suifeng was also sad, but as a man, he could barely control his emotions and not collapse like Chen Rong.

Yang Xiao looked at the two, said softly:

”Senior sister, Liu senior brother, it’s not time for tears now, I came here to tell you everything that happened to your family, now there are two paths for you to choose, one path, leave Dragon City with me immediately, I’ll take you to Purple Origin Star, I believe the Emperor of Great Dragon will not dare to chase us there,”

”What about the other path?” Liu Suifeng asked in a deep voice.

”You continue to stay here, pretend nothing happened, under no circumstances should you act rashly, you are unable to seek revenge with your current abilities.”

In her sadness, Chen Rong said to Liu Suifeng:

”Senior brother, you decide.”

Liu Suifeng hesitated for a moment, then spoke firmly:

”Yang Xiao, we will stay here, I hope you lead Purple Origin Star to power quickly, defeat the Great Dragon Empire soon, to avenge the tens of billions of Earth’s dead, and avenge Master and Mistress,

I and Junior Sister will stay here temporarily, one, it will not intensify the conflict between the Emperor of Great Dragon and you, two, we can be your operatives, if you need us for anything in the future, we can assist,

The Emperor of Great Dragon has promised me, if I pledge allegiance to him, he will exceptionally allow me to join the Imperial Gold Guard, to cultivate the last stage of the gene evolution technique, Marrow Cleansing,

I was originally disdainful of cultivating this Marrow Cleansing technique, now it seems, for future revenge, I should cultivate the Marrow Cleansing technique and strengthen myself.”

Yang Xiao nodded and said:

”I respect your decisions, just make sure you forget today’s event, as if I never came here.”
