Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Leaving the command post, Yang Yu opened the panel and dragged the grayed-out task entries to the bottom.

Opening the tasks of the Human faction, many urgent tasks had been refreshed again and again, the situation was still urgent and critical.

The command partners set up a temporary resting place to spend the night in the city. Yang Yu and his group rose at dawn and set out to move north.

Even with a plan to disrupt the demon clan’s rear, not knowing the distribution of their forces, infiltrating their rear on one’s own was a very dangerous thing to do.

After the battle ended, Yang Yu and his team had captured a few demons.

No matter how Yang Yu threatened or cajoled, those demon soldiers refused to speak about anything concerning the Demon Clan.

Yang Yu executed a few as a warning to the others, even letting blood intentionally spill over the captured demon soldiers, yet they remained ominously still, unswerving in their commitment unto death.

In their eyes, anyone who divulged information was a traitor.

At this time, the demon clan showed no signs of wavering or doubt, proving to be even more difficult to deal with than anticipated.

Even if they captured other demons on other battlefields, the outcome would likely be similar.

The Demon King had been planning the invasion of this world for a long time, surely he had brainwashed his troops.

Subverting them or using tactics to appeal to their hearts was futile. Not to mention hoping for an organization like in the Luoze Empire and Wansheng Country war that would side with the weaker party for the sake of peace.

Yang Yu did not know how long the war would last, nor how much suffering would have to be endured before such an organization would appear.

Perhaps preventing the rise of such an organization was one of the reasons the Demon King accelerated his assault.

Lacking intelligence support, infiltrating the demon clan’s rear alone was extremely dangerous.

Yang Yu could only bide his time and make the most of the information provided by the panel, prioritizing the support of cities that hadn’t fallen yet.

If they could withstand the first wave of the demon clan’s assault and slightly dampen their morale, they could buy themselves a lot of time.

Their target remained the Four Heavenly Kings.

Taking down the Four Heavenly Kings would deliver a tremendous blow to the demon clan’s morale and prevent the loss of their high-level combat strength.

Surely, at this moment, there are some high-level forces risking their lives to resist the attacks of the Demon King and the Four Heavenly Kings, right?

To defeat the Demon King Army, they cannot allow a huge gap to form in their high-level combat power.

Yang Yu hoped to glimpse a side of the powers of the Demon King and the Four Heavenly Kings through the task panel and various nations’ intelligence networks.

Just as Yang Yu was heading to reinforce the forts, advancing northward triumphantly, the news of his presence causing a failed action reached the Demon King’s ears.

As the king commanding the demon clan, the Deceitful Emperor wasn’t sitting calmly on his throne, yet he also wasn’t directly joining the battles on the front lines.

With a gentle wave of his hand, heavy materials soared with the Emperor’s gesture, arranging and combining according to specific laws to form a massive transmission platform.

This was the Deceitful Emperor’s twelfth transmission platform.

Each platform would continuously send demon soldiers stepping through the Gate of Demon World to battlefields around the world.

With only the first batch of soldiers reaching this point, conquering the whole world was still a bit tricky.

This world is as vast as the Demon World.

As more cities are captured and the battle lines stretch longer, certain issues begin to emerge.

Such as food supplies, resistance from the populace within conquered territories, monitoring from certain factions, every single one is an extremely important issue requiring a large number of personnel.

Many Demon Kings have stumbled on these issues, hence the Deceitful Emperor is particularly cautious, continuously gathering manpower from the Demon World, transporting them into each occupied area to assign tasks and manage subordinates.

The Deceitful Emperor even personally constructed teleportation arrays from the Gate of Demon World to places all over the world, adding specific recognition magic to the transmission platforms.

The platforms would identify the demon clan’s magic power, fundamentally preventing anyone from using the constructed transmission method in reverse to send themselves to Demon King City.

Protecting Demon King City ensures that the next Demon King can receive information anytime from over here, choose the most suitable time to open the Gate of Demon World, and enter this world.

If he fails, the next Demon King will certainly do even better.

According to information gathered from his subordinates, the Count Blood had been diligently working in the early stages to cover his true intentions, also stirring considerable chaos between the two countries.

But... in the end, the war between the two countries stopped, and both sides even shook hands and agreed to resist the Demon King together.

If they had descended when the war between the two countries was intense, maybe they could have easily swallowed the weaker side, making them submit.

After constructing the transmission platform and personally checking its operation, the Deceitful Emperor led his Personal Guard to the next construction site.

The Deceitful Emperor was flying and at the same time contacted Tian Hanxue, one of the Four Heavenly Kings:

”Tian Hanxue.

One of our forces encountered a minor setback.

The main cause of their setback, the personnel composition, is quite similar to what you reported, it’s probably them.

They possess Heavenly King level strength, their current activity range is over by you. Take some powerful officers to eliminate him.

If you’re not confident, I will draw another of the Four Heavenly Kings to support you.”

A mirror appeared in front of the Demon King, within it appearing the long-haired Tian Hanxue.

With a slight upward curl of her lips, Tian Hanxue’s furrowed brows began to relax,

”Coming in my direction?

Understood, I’ll handle it.

No need to deploy others, it’s still unclear where the Hero is.

If that guy is just making a diversion, it’s tough for us to pull other Four Heavenly Kings to deal with the Hero.

Leave this matter entirely to me, I promise to erase the shame from last time.”

The Deceitful Emperor was silent for a moment, suddenly asking:

”Tian Hanxue, why do I suddenly sense you’re quite happy?”

Tian Hanxue quickly composed herself, returning to her usual expression:

”Being about to defeat those who affect our plans, of course, I’m happy.

Lord Demon King, is there anything else?

If there’s nothing else, I need to continue fulfilling the mission you assigned me.

I’ve run into a few somewhat troublesome individuals on my side.

They seem to be members of an S-Class adventure group. Not focusing on defeating them might lead to trouble.

Once I’ve dealt with them all, I’ll see him immediately.”

The Demon King remained silent for a moment. Indeed, it felt somewhat strange yet indescribable where.

”Then I’ll leave it to you.

Remember what I taught you before.

Don’t forget our mission.

I believe in your skills, you’ll handle it well.”

”Understood, then please, Lord Demon King, look forward to it.”

After speaking, the Deceitful Emperor cut the communication.

Tian Hanxue narrowed her eyes slightly, unable to stop her mouth edges from curling upwards.

After a full day of calm thinking, Tian Hanxue finally found her own answer.
