Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

”[Ice Break]”

Tian Hanxue forcefully pressed down the [Demon Summoning Prayer], causing the ice dragon to trigger the blooming ”Ice Lotus”, which instantly collapsed.

The explosions echoed in succession, stirring up even larger ice mist, as the petals of the Ice Lotus fell like countless ice cones.

Exhaling a puff of white breath, a red glow flashed in Yang Yu’s eyes. He charged through the dense white ice mist, dodging the falling ice cones, leveling his sword blade, and rushed swiftly towards where Tian Hanxue was.

”Indeed, it won’t be so easy to trap him.”

Tian Hanxue glanced at Iyas who was retreating in the distance. The magicians were leading her straight towards the city center, where at the center of the stronghold was a broad square, possibly with a sketched teleportation array that could be activated by a slight infusion of magic power.

This means Yang Yu and his companions could leave with unbelievable speed.

”Not enough!”

To suspend Yang Yu’s movements for a long time and slow down the surrounding area would still require far more ice magic power!

As long as he destroys the central teleportation array before Yang Yu uses that skill, he’ll be stuck here.

Keeping him here means there will be ways to completely defeat him and bring him back.

No problem. The Demon King Army has not taken this city because Yang Yu and Iyas are here. Now that they both are eager to leave, strategically removing these two will make the human army surely suffer defeats.

Once the Demon King Army completely surrounds this stronghold, there’s absolutely no way they can escape like last time.

If all else fails, [Ice Sealed Scroll] can be used.

The conditions for using [Ice Sealed Scroll] have already been met.

This is a stronghold of humans; using [Ice Sealed Scroll] here, few within the city will survive.

The only one who might survive should be him.

Without a teleportation array, not a single one will escape.

Sorting out the plans, Tian Hanxue chose not to engage Yang Yu head-on.

With a push on the rooftop, Tian Hanxue floated lightly as Yang Yu jumped onto the roof, immediately changing his position.

Ferociously fanning the [Demon Summoning Prayer], three eerie blue lights accompanied the assault towards the nearby Yang Yu.

Yang Yu cleverly maneuvered, evading the three eerie blue lights, which turned into three ice discs, crashing into the not-so-distant city walls, the walls emitting a painful wail.

With astonishing speed, Yang Yu closed in on Tian Hanxue in an instant, the sharp blade thrusting straight at Tian Hanxue’s chest.

With no way to avoid, Tian Hanxue activated the effects of her equipped gear, her figure gradually becoming illusionary, sliding backward several meters, moving onto another rooftop, dodging Yang Yu’s strike, meanwhile slightly closing in on Iyas’s direction.

Activating the skill in [Broken Cocoon Butterfly] larva form, Yang Yu raised a faint protective shield around him, his speed escalating further.

Simultaneously, a red point emerged from Yang Yu’s chest, spreading outward, draping him in a crimson war garment.

With a leap off the rooftop, Yang Yu stabbed towards Tian Hanxue once more.

”Such decisive judgement, such unbelievable execution.

While I ponder his various actions, he must be contemplating my numerous moves too.

He probably knows, I want to stop him from leaving here.

He holds the determination to defeat me as he battles.

If he has any opportunity to defeat me, he surely won’t let it pass!”

Why doesn’t such an outstanding man understand my good intentions? If you would just slightly empathize, we could both have a bright future.

With such an attack coming his way, Tian Hanxue was compelled to lower the [Demon Summoning Prayer], activating [Ice Sealed World].

In an instant, the snowflakes drifting down halted, as though pinned in mid-air by something, the snow on the roof dislodged by Yang Yu’s fight stopped descending.

The flickering crimson war garment on Yang Yu halted its shaking.

Everything came to a stop.

Tian Hanxue was suddenly aware that when she triggered the barrier effect, Yang Yu had already circled to her rear.

With the speed Yang Yu exhibited earlier, if breaking through frontally, he might inflict harm on her; the reason Yang Yu painstakingly circled to her back wasn’t just for a surprise attack but also to prevent Tian Hanxue from quickly distancing by leveraging his hit last time, missing any chance for counteraction.

This man won’t fall for the same trick twice.

Yang Yu’s thick skin and astonishing speed made Tian Hanxue knew her magic hitting him wouldn’t suffice to halt him; controlling magic couldn’t completely freeze him. Focusing on him, he would certainly find the chance, using that skill to meet the elf and leave here.

Given this, the most correct approach is...

Tian Hanxue smiled mildly; she had spent quite a bit of ice magic power accumulated from [Ice Seal Barrier] and was pondering her next move but quickly thought of an excellent method.

Passing by Yang Yu, Tian Hanxue waved her folded fan to activate storage magic, bringing out several ice balls.

Tian Hanxue pursued fiercely toward Iyas, one by one ice balls falling from her hands, yet suspended in mid-air like snowflakes.

And once again, everything began flowing.

Yang Yu struck with all his might, but Tian Hanxue had completely vanished, ice beads falling from the air, landing on the rooftop, abruptly bursting massive ice magic power, forming wall after wall of ice.

Every ice wall was not thick; with Yang Yu’s mighty surge forward, he could easily shatter them.

The problem was the ice walls were incredibly heavy; upon their appearance, the house beneath crumbled, causing them to lean and disrupt Yang Yu’s stable footing.

This wouldn’t deter Yang Yu.

Where Tian Hanxue constructed the ice walls using ice beads, the walls should only arise along Tian Hanxue’s path of movement; simply shifting direction, traversing through other rooftops heading towards the stronghold center would let him catch up with Tian Hanxue.

This decision would consume considerable time, but compared to shattering the walls directly, was more time-saving.

After continual running, leading Iyas, the magicians finally arrived at the central square of the stronghold.

No time for respite, the magicians hurriedly gathered, placing their magic wands at different locations, infusing magic power into the already delineated teleportation magic array.

Slowly, purple light emerged, sketching the outline of the teleportation array over the snowy ground.

”Miss Iyas, the teleportation magic is almost complete! Quickly, leave through this teleportation array!”

”What’s the situation with General Yang Yu’s side? He should be able to come, right?”

Iyas walked sternly into the array’s center, saying:

”He should be here soon. The remaining matters are up to you!”

As soon as Iyas spoke, several frost ice arrows shot from afar, instantly removing two magicians infusing magic power into the teleportation array, raising their magic wands against the incoming frost ice arrows, yet the sharp arrows mercilessly pierced through their chests.

Blood stained the surrounding white snow red.
