Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Lying on the cold ground, gazing at the sky, Dian Wen gradually revealed his figure, with bulging muscles slowly returning to normal.

Being defeated in such a manner, Dian Wen didn’t feel the slightest shame.

What Yang Yu did was just the same as back then, making reasonable use of the rules.

Yang Yu came from the very beginning for the prize of the Dragon God Conference, fundamentally different from someone like him who just wanted to test his own depths.

Given Yang Yu’s personality, he would surely pull out unexpected moves.

Failing to guard against Yang Yu’s tactics was due to his own practice being insufficient.

Lost in thought, Dian Wen then came to terms with it,

As Dian Wen confirmed his complete landing, the referee raised his hand and declared a verdict:

”The winner, Yang Yu!”

A gentle drizzle of applause broke out on the scene.

Yang Yu did not raise his longsword to declare his victory, but instead jumped off the arena and extended his hand to Dian Wen.

Using his magic wand to prop himself up, Dian Wen accepted Yang Yu’s hand,

”Lost to you once again. In the contest of strength, I lost to you. In the past two years, you have become stronger than I imagined.”

Yang Yu exerted a little force to pull Dian Wen up from the ground, ”You’re the same, that strike really startled me.”

Dian Wen knew Yang Yu was just offering some casual consolation.

Yang Yu remained composed and unshaken from start to finish when facing him.

Perhaps, Yang Yu never considered failure, only thinking about the method to win.

As the referee announced the end of the match, medical personnel swiftly took action, enveloping Yang Yu and Dian Wen in two soft glows, healing their injuries and restoring their status to optimal.

Those responsible for cleaning the venue took to the stage to clean the stains, restoring the damaged ground to its original state.

”Both contestants, please exit the stage,” the referee issued the next command.

Dian Wen retrieved a long robe from the Storage Magic Array, wrapped his body, and felt no regret about leaving the stage,

”Until next time, I’ll be seeking your guidance again then.”

Yang Yu responded simply, ”No problem.”

The first match of the opening ceremony thus came to an end.

Yang Yu and Dian Wen each returned to the rest area.

Shortly after the two left, the host announced the matchup list for the next game.

A total of two hundred and fifty-six people participated in the Dragon God Conference, excluding a few absent ones, they still had to play over a hundred matches in the first round, naturally necessitating a tight schedule.

However, before the official start of the matches, Yang Yu had plenty of time to walk back to the audience seats.

Sitting in the audience, Iyas and Bai Jin quietly breathed a sigh of relief; even though they knew Yang Yu would be alright, seeing Dian Wen knock Yang Yu several meters away still made them break out in a cold sweat.

”Good work.” Bai Jin shifted a spot towards Iyas, making room for Yang Yu to sit beside her.

Bai Jin wanted to say something, but seeing Yang Yu staring intently at the stage, she refocused her gaze on the stage too.

Not far from Makuder’s Panlong Peak, a group of people also watched the Dragon God Conference proceedings intently.

Their heads were adorned with sharp dragon horns, with dragon scales faintly visible on their arms and cheeks.

They were a group of giant dragons in human form.

Giant dragons are extremely powerful creatures, inherently carrying an indescribable oppressive force that commands awe.

Giant dragons don’t appear casually elsewhere in the world; Panlong Peak is their home.

A total of over five hundred giant dragons live on and around Panlong Peak, most of them living in human form, only transforming into massive dragons when entering certain sacred places or going out for work.

The town built by the giant dragons on Panlong Peak is no different from other races’ towns, except it has more facilities for special purposes.

Giant dragons do not have churches; instead, they have five massive white squares and six vast knowledge repositories.

The humanoid dragons gather in groups at the white squares or knowledge repositories to watch this session of the Dragon God Conference.

Despite there being five hundred giant dragons, most have no authority and live like civilians of other races.

Among the dragons, only about thirty have true power; all other dragons revolve around these thirty.

The Dragon God Evaluation Country is a nation ruled by the giant dragons, but most of the time, the dragons don’t directly issue orders to the country.

They purely protect this country.

Most of the time, this nation is governed by the believers who maintain the dragons, and the dragons only need to manage their internal affairs.

Only when they need the believers to perform tasks do the dragons practice the rules and establish contact with them.

Incidentally, the dragons don’t care who their believers are.

The Dragon God Evaluation Country appears peaceful, but in reality, the dragons’ believers have changed over and over, far from the family that initially worshipped the dragons.

Surprisingly, not all dragons are so strong, wise, or willing to abide by the Ancient vows.

Unless all dragons have identical genes and grow up in identical environments, such differences are unavoidable.

Therefore, periodically, dragons also perform elections to select those strong, wise, and willing to adhere to Ancient vows as representatives to form the Dragon God Council.

Under normal circumstances, the vast majority of dragons obey the Dragon God Council’s dispatch and uphold the past vows.

But there are also dragons who disdain the vows.

In the distant past, now and then, some dragons would rebel, break the vows, become what people call evil dragons, and become enemies with the Dragon God Council.

Unfortunately, most evil dragons don’t reach the level requiring direct intervention from the dragons; such evil dragons also become a part of history, and the Dragon God Council can only drive adventurers indirectly to resolve those dragons by issuing tasks.

In a way, adventurers are the ”swords” and ”shields” raised by dragons.

When the dragons cannot directly act, only these swords and shields can replace them to resolve various extraordinary events.

Of course, the dragons don’t wish to see their kin become evil dragons and will also take precautions, giving appropriate punishment and correction to dragons likely to rebel.

Additionally, among the dragon tribes, quite a few dragons harbor curiosity about the outside world; compared to others, they are more eager to understand the external world, not wanting to rely on records or books but wanting to see the world with their own eyes.

These dragons always find ways to leave Panlong Peak, with quite a few successfully doing so, causing quite a stir.

The Dragon God Council also goes to great lengths to prevent any dragon from leaving.

Some dragons leaving the peak without permission have always been the greatest headache for the Dragon God Council.

Even worse, these dragons threaten adventurers; ordinary adventurers can’t handle them.

Occasionally, there are Dragon Clan hybrids on the continent due to their actions.
