Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

The Minstrel did not speak, yet emitted bursts of sound:

”Kekarlos, the focus of the task has shifted.

Soon, we will succeed.

We will inherit part of the Demon Lord’s power and overthrow the entire world.”

Kekarlos tightened the lid on the candy jar, revealing a smile,

”That day is drawing near, how exciting.

The despicable goddess will ultimately be defeated by the demon, and we will rebuild a new order upon the ruins.

I wonder what that group of giant dragons will think when they see us overthrowing the world.”

”No matter what they think, they won’t directly intervene on a large scale.

At most, they’ll issue tasks, sending adventurers to their deaths.

If the giant dragons were to intervene, we can’t be sure whether the demon can defeat them.”

Kekarlos said, ”Have a bit more confidence in the demon’s strength, after all, the demon was created to counter the goddess.”

”That’s true...the only worry now is whether the Pope can tame the demon. Those guys were sealed up precisely because they wouldn’t listen.”

Shaking the bottle full of candies, Kekarlos looked relaxed, ”Don’t worry, don’t worry.

The current Pope has inherited the will of countless generations of Popes and countless deceased.

When the time comes, there will naturally be a way.

Releasing the demon to overthrow the world is just a means.

We can always trust only each other, can’t we?”

With a gentle pluck of the piano strings, the young man’s face broke into a smile, couldn’t agree more with Kekarlos’s words,

”We humans, like any other creatures, are born as a miracle, free of any guilt.

But unlike other creatures, we have something called character.

We are diligent, generous, self-controlled, chaste, modest, compassionate, and we praise others’ achievements.

These virtues make society beautiful, allowing everyone to have their own happiness.

But in this society, due to the presence of the goddess, countless gaps have emerged, with the trajectories of the lives of the favored and the unfavored differing greatly.

This world has already rotted from its roots.

Countless people no longer learn virtues, wanting to cement their current status, climb above the heads of countless others to reach higher status, and indulge their desires.

To reshape this society, the rotten roots must be uprooted.”

Kekarlos nodded, holding the candy jar, ”The rotten roots entangle some soil, and unless it’s cleared away, new trees can’t be planted. It’s a necessary task.

Let’s confirm once more, the plan against that guy doesn’t need to be changed, right?”

The young minstrel said, ”Yes, it won’t be changed, his strength is extraordinary, and extremely cautious.

This is likely the only method that will work.

Involving ordinary people is unavoidable.

This sacrifice is necessary to move towards the future.”

”Then it’s decided.”

Kekarlos responded, heading to the Martial Arts Hall to face her last opponent in the preludes.

Meanwhile, the young minstrel drew a large Teleportation Array on the rooftop and quietly departed.

Nearly 9,000 preliminary contestants, after a series of selections, only 26 remain.

These 26 will today decide who gets the right to compete in the Dragon God Conference.

To this day, none have tasted defeat, they are the best of the best.

Including the prelude qualifiers, a total of 256 people will participate in the official Dragon God Conference.

These 256 will engage in intense one-on-one battles on October 10th, with only three achieving the enhancement of Dragon Race Essence.

Anyone who obtains Dragon Race Essence will become highly desirable, with countries extending olive branches offering unimaginable treatment.

Even the giant dragons will invite them to hold important positions in the Dragon God Evaluation Country.

Beyond the Dragon Race Essence, those making it into the top sixteen will receive rewards from the giant dragons, rewards that, if exchanged for money, would suffice for ten ordinary families to enjoy for a lifetime, quite extravagant.

Bai Jin took the stage first in her final round, her opponent a Mage from the All Things Library.

Knowing the Mage’s opponent was Bai Jin, Baronaco shook his head, unsurprisingly, Bai Jin easily defeated her opponent again.

Bai Jin couldn’t quite believe she had completed the preludes so smoothly, earning the official tournament qualification.

Bai Jin felt her confidence slightly boost concerning her own strength.

Kekarlos appeared second, due to the confidential nature of the prelude matches, Yang Yu couldn’t witness this match.

Nonetheless, Kekarlos seemingly left her opponent defenseless, defeating them with ease.

Yang Yu was last to appear, his opponent a Spirit Manipulator in a gray robe with gold trimming, a disciple of [Corpse Collection Coffin].

He was a remarkably optimistic young man, continuously greeted Yang Yu with a beaming smile.

Don’t be fooled by his demeanor, when the action began, he didn’t hold back at all.

He manipulated an Ancient Cavalry Contracted Spirit Body, its attributes exceeding 2500 upon manifestation, with extremely powerful attack and defense, hard to deal with.

The Spirit Manipulator also deployed countless minor spiritual bodies to limit Yang Yu’s defense and attack by constantly releasing various strange skills around him.

During the preludes, Yang Yu didn’t want to display too much strength, and in the last match, he pretended to be locked in a fierce struggle.

Then, amidst the Knight’s attack, he spotted an opening, jumped in front of the vulnerable Spirit Manipulator, and kicked the manipulator down from the platform, securing his qualification.

After the competition, Bronze Dragon Owen personally awarded each of them the official tournament invitation.

Throughout the preludes, the Martial Arts Hall was also supervised by other giant dragons, but on the final day, Bronze Dragon Owen fought repeatedly to finally secure the opportunity.

Now, Bronze Dragon Owen could no longer contain his feelings...

During the handshake, he appeared very calm, yet deep inside Yang Yu’s heart, he had already started rambling:

”Just as I expected, you broke through the preliminary competition with extreme ease.

Hmph, with your current strength, there probably aren’t many opponents left for you at the Dragon God Conference.

I hope you won’t become arrogant, keep striving, we cannot favor anyone.

To this day, I still find it hard to believe your initial identity, and don’t know what the other giant dragons think of you.

All in all, I believe you will most certainly become legendary someday.

Oh, and don’t overly trust my words. Don’t feel smug just because I complimented you a bit—many I’ve praised ended up achieving nothing.

All in all, keep up the good work, I believe you will do it!”
