The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 986: Chapter 986: Amadeus Yancey Waits for Her Outside

Rivendell.

Just as Nathalie Quinlan was leaving Rivendell after speaking with Candice Yancey, she stepped out and immediately received another message from Justin Wafford.

She pulled at her cap brim, her white T-shirt exuding a rebellious and slightly sinister aura. With one hand in her pocket and the other taking out her phone, she casually looked down and clicked on Justin Wafford’s message with her slender fingers.

They were screenshots.

All of them were discussing topics Online.

Nathalie Quinlan only glanced at them briefly and then stopped looking.

She pocketed her phone and looked up to see a Hongqi car at the curb, a man making a phone call next to a black sedan, and Alfred Garland.

Why is Amadeus Yancey here?

Nathalie Quinlan raised her eyebrows, somewhat surprised, and walked towards the road.

”Hmm... well done, let them report to the police, don’t stop them,” the man spoke in a soothing and deep tone, like the clear tinkling of a spring.

Seeing Nathalie Quinlan approaching, Alfred Garland’s eyes flickered and he quickly greeted, ”Miss Quinlan, how come you’re out so soon, is the show inside over?”

”No.” Nathalie’s face remained unreadable, her eyes covertly wild, and with her hands in her pockets, she added, ”I had some matters to deal with, so I came out early.”

Alfred Garland didn’t ask what the matter was, as he was the first to see the leaked news Online, claiming that Miss Quinlan had been kidnapped and held captive for over a year before returning on her own.

What a 11-year-old girl could have gone through during that year, there were all kinds of speculations Online.

He fell silent for a moment, a grown man slightly at a loss for how to offer comfort.

Amadeus had just finished his phone call, putting down the phone, and seeing the girl coming out, his expression easy-going yet his eye sockets deeply set and dark: ”Where to?”

Nathalie didn’t bother with formalities and cut to the chase: ”Looking for someone.”

The fact that Amadeus Yancey and Alfred Garland were waiting for her outside Rivendell at this time must mean they had seen the leaked news Online.

There was no need for her to hide anything.

But as for the kidnapping, she wasn’t ready to discuss the details yet.

”Hmm.” As if understanding her reluctance to talk, Amadeus opened the car door for her and said without asking further, ”You’re at City Hospital, I’ll take you there.”

”...”

Nathalie was slightly taken aback, lifting the brim of her cap to reveal her strikingly delicate face, her expression showing surprise yet somehow not quite surprised.

It seemed she hadn’t mentioned whom she was looking for.

Beijing City Hospital, Ghania Quinlan had just been wheeled out of the operating room by a nurse, her complexion pale, eyes tightly shut, and with an IV drip attached, it was unclear whether she was conscious or still under anesthesia.

”Ghania!”

Outside the operating room, Myles Sullivan and Ivy Wilmar had been waiting, and as soon as the emergency room doors opened and the person was wheeled out, Myles stubbed out his cigarette and quickly stood up, calling out and walking briskly forward.

Before he could get close, the nurse pushing Ghania Quinlan advised in a low voice, ”Family members, please keep your voices down, this is a hospital. We will take the patient to the ward now; she needs to rest quietly.”

Coming from behind, Ivy Wilmar pulled on the man’s arm to calm him, ”Don’t rush, being anxious now won’t help. Ghania might not be aware of the situation; let’s ask the doctor about Ghania’s condition first.”

Her tone was calm, but deep inside, she was feeling terrified.

Coming from a prominent family and backed by the Wilmar Family, she had never encountered something like today’s incident in Beijing — they were escorting Ghania Quinlan to Capital Airport, when on the way to the airport, a Buick forcefully bumped into their car, blocking them. A gang of individuals, in broad daylight, directly pulled Ghania from the car and broke both her arms right in front of her and Myles Sullivan!
