The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 964: Chapter 964: I feel like they’re talking about Nathalie above

Jhovany Sullivan typically doesn’t call him unless it’s something important, so he was secretly thrilled when she took the initiative to call him this time.

Silently, he explained: ”I was just taking a shower and didn’t hear the sound, so I missed your first call.”

Before he finished speaking,

the girl on the other end spoke urgently: ”Do you have a computer near you?”

”Ah?”

”I’m asking if you have a computer nearby? An internet café will do too!”

Justin Wafford glanced at the laptop in his room, paused for a moment, walked over to it, and said: ”I’m at home. I have a computer, one second, I’ll boot it up right now.”

His computer was set up like a gaming PC, sparing no expense, with top-of-the-line components installed.

Although it wasn’t as impressive as Nathalie Quinlan’s laptop, it generally didn’t lag.

He went over, opened the computer, pressed the power button, and in just a few seconds, the computer was on.

Justin Wafford pulled out a chair to sit down, then asked confusedly: ”Jhovany, what’s going on? Why did you ask me if I had a computer?”

”Log onto No. 1 Middle School’s forum,” the girl’s tone was still anxious, but she hesitated, her words trailing off.

She kept urging him to check the high school forum.

”What’s with the forum?” Justin Wafford had paid little attention to the school forum since finishing his college entrance exams, and even when he was a student at McKinney No. 1 Middle School, he rarely looked at the forum. He only followed it because of Wenny Taylor’s incident, and hadn’t checked it since.

While talking, his movements were swift, and he quickly found the school’s forum, telling Jhovany Sullivan: ”It’s open. I don’t see anything though.”

”No, check if there’s a post with a title about a girl from No. 1 Middle School being kidnapped,” the girl said.

”???” Justin Wafford was increasingly bewildered but he moved his mouse as she instructed and started searching the forum.

Soon, he saw the post with the title Jhovany mentioned.

He was a bit stupefied, hesitated for a moment, and said: ”Damn, when did the school forum become so mindless, even paying attention to social news. What kidnapping? I’ve never heard of any girl at our school being kidnapped.”

His mind worked quickly, sensing something was off.

”Why are you having me look at this?”

Even if there had been an incident with a kidnapped girl at No. 1 Middle School, what did it have to do with him?

Jhovany Sullivan was silent on the phone for several seconds before speaking with a pained tone: ”I think... it seems to be talking about... Nathalie.”

”Who did you say?” Justin Wafford cleared his ears, thinking he must have heard wrong, his line of sight returned to the computer, his face full of astonishment: ”You mean the post on the forum is about Nathalie?”

”Yeah.” Jhovany Sullivan’s voice was very soft, unsure: ”My cousin also studies at No. 1 Middle School, she’s in her first year. Didn’t I go back to my hometown? While we were eating just now, she told me about it, asked if I knew about this incident. Initially, I didn’t take it seriously, but the more she described the content of the post to me, the more familiar it seemed... Later, I went online to check the post myself, and I feel like... the person who leaked the news is talking about Nathalie.”

She spoke the last sentence so softly that if Justin Wafford hadn’t been all ears, he might not have understood what she was saying.

For a moment, it felt utterly absurd!

”How could Nathalie possibly be kidnapped? She has never mentioned anything like that to me. Impossible, right? Are you sure you’re not mistaken?”
