The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 961: Chapter 961: To Wish for Its Demise, One Must First Drive It Mad

Returning to her room, she usually loved to light up the aromatherapy lamp and let the fragrance of lavender permeate the space. She would then sit at the vanity to care for her skin or go online to look at sheet music and listen to music...

However, this time, she didn’t want to do anything after closing the door behind her.

Everything that happened today was like a joke that shattered all her fantasies!

She simply couldn’t imagine how she’d live under Nathalie Quinlan’s shine at Tsinghua University for three, four, or even more years.

Ghania Quinlan collapsed onto her bed; the soft memory foam mattress, which used to relieve all her stress, now felt like sitting on a bed of nails.

She took out her phone and scrolled online, looking to see if there was any news about Mr. Avalon taking on new students.

She found nothing.

She bit her lip, unwilling to give up, and opened Tsinghua University’s forum.

”Chinese Medicine Department’s fairy-like junior sister.”

”Holy shit, this year’s freshman class bell of the ball is undisputed. I unilaterally declare Chinese Medicine’s Nathalie Quinlan as our school’s most beautiful girl.”

”Rookie of the year.”

Her fingernails dug into her phone as she scrolled down, finding post after post about Nathalie Quinlan. Almost all discussions related to freshmen or new students were about Nathalie, and there were a few blurry photos of her which, despite the poor quality, revealed the girl’s delicate facial features.

She continued scrolling, expecting more posts about Nathalie, only to stumble upon her own name.

”Ghania Quinlan is also pretty, the new freshmen all have good looks.”

Her mood lifted slightly as she clicked in.

To her surprise, she was met with mockery.

”Before I saw the new Chinese Medicine students, I also thought she looked okay. Tsk, comparison is the thief of joy. Guys, stop hyping her. Nathalie Quinlan is the definitive beauty of the new batch. At most, Ghania Quinlan could pass as a flower of the Music Department.”

”The one who said Ghania Quinlan is the flower of the Music Department, did they smear shit on their lips? Have they asked our Music Department for an opinion? We don’t buy a Water Army online to diss Professor Shawn Norton. She’s more like a Venus flytrap.”

What started as a discussion of looks now devolved into a thread dragging up her past of hiring internet trolls.

The following pages even had suggestions for the school to expel her.

The more Ghania Quinlan read, the uglier her expression became.

By the end, her hands trembled uncontrollably. She collapsed onto her bed and shut her eyes tightly, then got up again moments later, reopening them to reveal a gaze twisted with madness.

”Nathalie!”

She had made up her mind. If she couldn’t deal with Nathalie once and for all, she would forever live in Nathalie’s shadow, unable to ever lift her head again.

Ghania Quinlan picked up her phone that she’d tossed aside on the bed and looked up Emilia Sullivan’s phone number. Taking a deep breath to calm herself, she dialed the number.

”Hello, Mom, do you remember what happened at home when I was ten? Do you still have any photos or evidence from that time?”

Half an hour later, Ghania Quinlan received the items.

She took a cold shower, went downstairs, and gently said to Ivy Wilmar and Emilia Sullivan, who were sitting opposite each other on the sofa in a tense atmosphere: ”Auntie, I’ve been thinking, I don’t want to study at Tsinghua anymore.”

Myles Sullivan frowned subconsciously, assuming she was being whimsical: ”If you’re not going to Tsinghua, what do you plan to do, go back to high school and repeat a year?”

Ghania Quinlan spoke softly and gently, but her eyes harbored a hint of gloom: ”My teacher told me that there’s a music academy abroad and they have an opening for me. I’m considering going there to study abroad.”
