The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 972: Chapter 972: Suddenly Deciding to Change Their Seats

Sherly Iversen clutched the evening gown she was wearing; she had borrowed a haute couture piece for the occasion today.

A haute couture gown comes with a hefty price tag.

Prices start in the hundreds of thousands.

Slightly better ones can cost over a million.

For instance, the haute couture she wore was worth over a million, and she had been extra careful not to spoil it lest the brand sought compensation.

Now, Sherly Iversen was too anxious to care about that, her gaze fixed firmly on Nathalie Quinlan and Candice Yancey in the front row.

She looked left and right but didn’t recognize Candice Yancey and couldn’t contain her impatience. She turned her head, lowering her voice to ask the person next to her.

”Do you know the person on the left side of the first row?”

Worried that her neighbor might not know who she was referring to, Sherly Iversen, with a flush of embarrassment, dryly asked, ”The one sitting next to that girl, talking.”

”You mean Mr. Yancey?” The other person laughed briefly, the smile quickly fading with a mocking undertone, ”Ever heard of the Yancey Family of Beijing?”

”The Yancey Family of Beijing?”

”The person sitting next to the girl is the Young Lady of the Yancey Family of direct-line descent, a figure rarely seen in such social scenarios. You are lucky, coming in here and immediately hitting the hardest iron board.”

”...”

Sherly Iversen was not from the Circle; she was merely someone who followed an influencer half into the circle’s backstage.

Even so, she knew more about the Circle than the average person in the entertainment circle.

In just a blink, she had all the information about the Yancey Family of Beijing in her mind.

She remembered her influential supporter once telling her about three Great Families in Beijing you should never cross: the Yancey, Wilmar, and Tanzil Families.

Plus, the Sullivan Family was also noteworthy.

Among these three families, there was one person she should absolutely avoid—Amadeus Yancey.

The Yancey’s Buddha.

Young in age, yet the most fearsome and ruthless at the Top of the Pyramid, offending Amadeus could skin you alive!

Sherly Iversen remembered it vividly.

The Yancey... the family of Amadeus Yancey?

Her face paled instantly, her fingers whitened from her grip due to the shock, her shoulders trembling uncontrollably.

She didn’t know much about the Yancey Family, after all, those at the top tier of the Circle were not even searchable online.

For someone in the entertainment circle, knowing about the Yancey Family was already an achievement.

Candice Yancey’s identity and status... she was not even qualified to understand!

In the front row, Candice Yancey was oblivious to Sherly Iversen’s attempt to strike up a conversation with Nathalie Quinlan about the necklace and the gossip behind her back.

So when a staff member from Seven came to ask them to change seats, she was momentarily taken aback.

”Change to where?”

Candice Yancey, not while talking to Nathalie Quinlan, carried herself with quite a presence, her aura strong and a bit oppressive.

The staff member from Seven was also secretly observing them and got startled by her piercing gaze, hurriedly lowering his eyes respectfully and said, ”Hello, Miss Yancey, we just received a notice to have you and your friend moved to seats 001 and 002 in the first row, would you like to make the change?”

Candice Yancey held a significant status in Beijing.

The tickets she got this time were for seats 10 and 11 in the first row.

Though both in the first row, the seats in front undoubtedly had their differences.

She instinctively furrowed her brows, hesitating to agree immediately.

As far as she knew, Pinecone Group hadn’t released seats 1 to 5 this time, especially the very special seat number 1 in the first row.
