The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 983: Chapter 983: Bought Airplane Tickets, Preparing to Go Abroad

”Originally when she was admitted to university, I hadn’t prepared a gift for her academic advancement. It’s just perfect now.”

Amadeus Yancey’s thin lips slightly moved, his chest rising and falling, just about to say it wasn’t necessary since Candice Yancey accompanied Nathalie Quinlan, probably sharing the same idea as him.

Just then, Alfred Garland hurried in from the outside, found him, and his anxious expression slightly eased as he quickly walked over and handed over the phone: ”Amadeus, take a look at this.”

”What’s this about?” Sadam Vinson craned his neck from the side.

Alfred Garland, anxious and agitated, didn’t answer him, instead waiting stiffly for the man to look first.

Amadeus Yancey was calmer, leisurely took the phone, swiped through with his fingertips, quickly reading lines upon lines, and though his facial expression revealed nothing unusual, both Sadam Vinson and Brian Bonette seated opposite felt that he’d been irritated.

Sadam Vinson grew somewhat restless, furrowing his brow and asking again: ”What exactly has happened? Damn it, don’t just hold it in and not say anything.”

Amadeus Yancey closed his eyes, seemingly controlling the torrent of rage within him, and when he opened them again, his eyes were pitch black and cold. He returned the phone to Alfred Garland without any nonsense, succinct and to the point: ”Check where Ghania Quinlan is.”

”Ghania Quinlan?”

Alfred Garland didn’t understand why they needed to locate Ghania Quinlan, but he didn’t dare delay fulfilling his orders. Without further clarifying, he promptly went to investigate.

Sadam Vinson was still incessantly asking questions from across the way.

Amadeus Yancey didn’t utter a word, just raised his hand to pinch his high-bridged nose, suppressing the bloodthirsty irritability at the corners of his eyes, his thin lips pressed so tightly they formed a straight line.

Expressionless, he neither explained to Sadam Vinson who Ghania Quinlan was nor why he wanted Alfred Garland to locate her.

But he had seen the leaked news online. Since it was related to past associations with Nathalie Quinlan, it must have been someone familiar with Nathalie who leaked the information. Without seeing the person, he couldn’t confirm the veracity of the online messages. What he needed to do was quite simple.

Before Nathalie Quinlan saw these and took any action, Ghania Quinlan had to be within his sphere of control!

...

It was all too easy for the Yancey Family to track someone’s whereabouts; just a few phone calls, and Alfred Garland had already ascertained Ghania Quinlan’s movements.

He held the phone and walked back, respectfully approaching the man’s side with a not-so-pleasant expression, whispering: ”Amadeus, Ghania Quinlan has booked airplane tickets for three o’clock this afternoon to fly abroad. She is already on her way to the airport.”

Amadeus Yancey’s fingers, like white jade, tapped on the padauk desktop, his demeanor languid, but no one dared to mistake the nonchalance on his face for genuine indifference.

”Intercept her.”

Alfred Garland lifted his head, swiftly glancing at him.

Without a word of waste, Amadeus Yancey maintained his distinguished air of a prince unconcerned with worldly affairs, but the hint of crimson at the corner of his eyes betrayed a deadly intent.

”I want one of Ghania Quinlan’s hands.”

His tone was as if he were ordering a cup of Blue Mountain coffee with sugar.

Both Sadam Vinson and Brian Bonette fell silent, exchanging a glance, each seeing the surprise in the other’s eyes.

It had been many years since Amadeus lost his temper.

To this day, they still didn’t know exactly what had happened, but seeing Amadeus Yancey’s attitude, someone in Beijing was going to be in trouble!

Sadam Vinson, more streetwise than Brian Bonette, frowned, and the first thought that flashed through his mind was—irritating Amadeus Yancey was definitely related to Nathalie!

The Sullivan Family’s Range Rover was driving smoothly on the road to the airport.

Today was a Monday, and it was work hour, the road was not very busy, and the Range Rover could be said to be driving unimpeded. The Sullivan Family’s driver drove absentmindedly while pricking up his ears to the conversation in the back seat.
