The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 952: Chapter 952: Mr. Avalon is also at the Imperial Hotel

Stewin Hoffman is the sharpest one in the dormitory. Seeing Ghania Quinlan’s reaction, the corners of his mouth curled into a smile, and he quickly explained, ”Mr. Tanzil couldn’t make it today because his family called him for a meal, but he asked me to congratulate you on winning the trophy.”

In reality, whether Zeus Tanzil actually said those words, only Stewin Hoffman himself knew. It was just a polite remark made in front of Ghania Quinlan.

The main reason Ghania Quinlan invited Zayn Fisher and his dorm mates was that she hoped Zeus Tanzil would come. The person she wanted to attend didn’t show up, but all the ones she didn’t care for did instead. Her eyes darkened momentarily, but she quickly masked the disappointment in her gaze and said gently to the others, ”Um, it’s okay, family matters are important. Zayn, you guys go ahead and take a seat inside. I’ll come find you in a bit.”

Zayn Fisher didn’t seem to notice the change in her emotions, nodded in response, and went inside along with Stewin Hoffman and the rest.

When Zayn Fisher and the others arrived, Myles Sullivan was busy greeting other guests. After setting up a few guests, he turned to look for Ghania Quinlan.

He asked with a rather serious expression, ”I just saw Zayn Fisher. Has that Mr. Tanzil from their dorm not come?”

Myles Sullivan had heard from Ivy Wilmar about Zayn Fisher’s acquaintance with the Tanzil family’s young Mr. Tanzil, and that the two were on good terms. After seeing Zayn Fisher, he recalled this and came to ask Ghania Quinlan.

Upon hearing his question, Ghania Quinlan’s face showed a fleeting unnaturality, and the hand by her side tightened momentarily. Her expression appeared normal as she obediently replied, ”No. It seems there was something at home, and they needed to have lunch too.”

”I see,” Myles Sullivan casually inquired, not particularly concerned about whether Zeus Tanzil would attend.

To him, having the Tanzil family attend Ghania Quinlan’s mentorship celebration banquet would be a nice bonus, but it wouldn’t matter if they couldn’t make it, especially since Ghania Quinlan mentioned they had affairs to tend to at noon.

Myles Sullivan didn’t give it much thought and looked up towards the banquet hall, then turned around and said to Ghania Quinlan and Ivy Wilmar, ”I just ran into Mr. Avalon and them downstairs.”

”Mr. Avalon?” Ivy Wilmar initially had no interest in the topic of Zeus Tanzil they were discussing. Coming from the prestigious Wilmar family, which was no less prominent than the Tanzil family, she had no reason to fawn over a junior member of the Tanzil family. Zeus Tanzil’s attendance or absence meant no loss to her.

But Mr. Avalon was different.

Mr. Avalon’s status in Beijing was comparable to Mr. Norton’s, and he was one of the influential figures in the Academic Circle.

He held even higher status than Adelle Wafford!

Everyone in Beijing wanted to build connections with this master.

Her first reaction was to furrow her brows, showing surprise, and asking Myles Sullivan, ”Why would Mr. Avalon come to the Imperial Hotel?”

”Probably here for a meal,” Myles Sullivan’s expression turned even more serious as he spoke of this, indicating his level of regard, ”Besides Mr. Avalon, I saw someone else.”

Someone else?

Ivy Wilmar instinctively asked, ”Who?”

”Stephanie Tanzil,” Myles Sullivan said in a flat tone.

Ivy Wilmar immediately stood up straight, evidently concerned.

Zeus Tanzil was merely a junior member of the Tanzil family, whereas Stephanie Tanzil was of their generation and was considered a Tanzil family member with real influence and power.

She couldn’t help but feel on edge, ”Are people from the Tanzil family here as well?”

As Myles Sullivan was her husband, it was impossible that he didn’t know what she was thinking. He continued in a calm and measured tone, ”Besides the Tanzil family members, I also saw Mr. Norton and Reynaldo Vinson.”

Ivy Wilmar: ”...”

If Stephanie Tanzil was already a surprise to her, then the presence of Mr. Norton and members of the Vinson family made the situation even more puzzling for her.
