The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 978: Chapter 978: It Looks Somewhat Familiar

In Rivendell, SEVEN’s Fall/Winter show was still ongoing.

The T-stage glimmered with a dazzling array of luxury jewels.

Nathalie Quinlan sat in her seat, slightly bored, yawned, and checked the time on her phone. She was getting restless and leaned over to Candice Yancey, whispering softly, ”Mrs. Yancey, I’m going to use the restroom.”

”Ah, go ahead, go ahead.”

Ever since Candice found out that Nathalie held initial stocks in Pinecone Group and seemed to be quite ’familiar’ with the chief designer S, she had been floating on cloud nine, barely able to contain her excitement for the long-awaited finale show. She was somewhat distracted.

Seeing the girl rise in the dark, she reacted and quickly whispered even lower, ”Nathalie, do you want me to accompany you?”

Rivendell was one of the top high-end clubs in Beijing, naturally spanning a large area.

She was worried Nathalie might not find her way back.

Nathalie had been to Rivendell once before. She wasn’t particularly familiar with it, but it wasn’t her first time either. So, she bent down, took off the headphones around her neck, placed them on the seat, grabbed her phone, with a serene demeanor, and replied, ”No need, I can go by myself. Mrs. Yancey, please enjoy the show.”

”Well... Alright then,” Candice Yancey reluctantly instructed, ”Come back soon.”

”Mmhmm.”

Nathalie agreed straightforwardly.

She had just been sitting inside for too long and was feeling a bit suffocated.

Heading to the restroom was secondary; she mainly wanted to escape for some fresh air.

...

Rivendell was quite large. As Nathalie left the show and was on her way to the restroom, she saw some of Rivendell’s waiters whispering in a corner of the hallway.

”Did you see that person just now? That one, Sherly Iversen... Why is she sitting outside the venue crying, the show isn’t over yet, right?”

”I don’t know. Heard she offended someone and got kicked out.”

”Who did she offend?”

”Who knows. There are so many people in Beijing; it’s hard to keep track. Probably messed with someone she shouldn’t have mess up with. I overheard her Agent on the phone call telling her to apologize to someone when I passed by.”

”Tsk, I saw many leaked marketing accounts Online before saying she’s a diva and has a big temper. Seems like it’s true.”

Nathalie only caught bits and pieces. By the time she walked past, the gossiping waiters quickly shut their mouths.

Sherly Iversen?

Nathalie herself didn’t pay much attention. As she passed by the hallway, she vaguely saw someone being stopped outside the venue.

Her eyes half-narrowed, holding her phone in a lazy pose. From a distance, Nathalie thought the woman sitting at the entrance looked somewhat familiar, but as she had mild face blindness, she couldn’t quite remember the faces of people she seldom met...

Nathalie just glanced and continued towards the restroom direction.

Rivendell was a famously upscale club in Beijing.

Even a restroom was decorated resplendently, with SEVEN’s big show still proceeding, featuring the finale jewelry showcase.

There were few people around.

Nathalie didn’t see anyone on her way.

She had been feeling stifled inside, sitting quite impatiently, and just took the opportunity to come out, turning on the tap to rinse her hands. The cold water splashed through her fingers, finally calming her restless mind.

Since she had told Mrs. Yancey she would be out, she was not in a hurry to return.

Nathalie turned off the tap, leaned against the restroom wall, took out her phone, and lowered her gaze for a glance.
