The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 973: Chapter 973: Today I Have a Very Important Friend Coming

She thought Silvania Ingram would leave the seat for herself to sit.

But suddenly, the staff informed them to change seats, giving up a whole row of VIP positions, which was illogical.

Candice Yancey, proud of her status, also knew that many people in Beijing wanted to please her, but she had met Silvania Ingram privately. Silvania Ingram, who was ten years younger than her and in her early forties, was a very ambitious and capable woman with an inherent pride. If she didn’t have some backbone, she wouldn’t have broken off relations with the Ingram family in Beijing for over a decade.

Such a strong-willed woman, Candice Yancey didn’t think she would specifically ’please’ herself.

But the staff indeed mentioned seats in row 1 and 2.

She hesitated for a moment, then turned her head to ask the opinion of the girl next to her: ”Nathalie, shall we switch?”

Nathalie Quinlan lifted her eyes, surprised by Jethro Yapiter stirring things up again, finding it quite bothersome, but after thinking briefly, she said, ”Let’s switch.”

In fact, changing seats was no big deal.

But she hadn’t planned to come initially, sitting in the front row with Candice Yancey was already conspicuous enough. Now Mrs. Ingram had someone come over and move her to the VIP area in the front row, Nathalie could guess how many pairs of eyes would turn her way once she switched.

However, it was a gesture from an elder, and she couldn’t refuse.

Candice Yancey didn’t think much of it, hearing her say they could switch, she looked up and communicated with the staff.

Changing seats wasn’t a troublesome matter; after all, it was just for watching the show. Apart from Candice Yancey holding a handbag, Nathalie Quinlan didn’t even bring a bag, merely slipped her hands into her pockets, stood up and switched seats, and that was OK.

It was just as she thought.

As soon as she sat down in row 1, a number of scrutinizing sights fell on her from behind. Since Nathalie Quinlan had agreed to switch, she didn’t mind those looking her way, casually didn’t even turn her head back, but simply raised her hand and pressed down her hat’s brim, her gaze fiercely permissive.

...

The grand show didn’t take too long, and the lights at the venue dimmed.

The U-shaped T-stage had a high-tech starry sky design, and the 3D dazzling color technology style was particularly strong.

As the music began, the first model walked out of the T-stage.

With a wasp waist and long legs, she shone brightly on the T-stage.

Candice Yancey occasionally turned her head to ask the girl next to her how she felt, whether there were any designs she particularly liked.

Nathalie Quinlan had received the designs from Silvania Ingram a few days earlier, some of which she had personally revised.

Now, sitting here, she was purely accompanying Candice Yancey to watch the show. Watching model after model wearing SEVEN autumn and winter haute couture come out, she was too lazy to even lift her eyelids, completely stopping Candice Yancey from buying any.

Candice Yancey didn’t mind; today her goal wasn’t these clothing items, she mainly wanted Nathalie Quinlan to buy the star of this SEVEN’s show— the new creations by the genius designer S.

If Nathalie Quinlan didn’t want the clothes, she let it go, turned her head, and eagerly awaited the jewelry finale series.

The prêt-à-porter show ended quickly.

The designer came on stage to thank everyone.

Before the jewelry show started, Silvania Ingram, the rarely seen president of Pinecone Group, took the stage, receiving the microphone from the designer, and addressed the densely packed audience: ”Thank you for attending the SEVEN autumn and winter show, I am Silvania Ingram, president of Pinecone Group.”

A burst of applause erupted below.

In the third row, Sherly Iversen nervously clapped, feeling inexplicably uneasy.

Silvania Ingram’s voice was low and powerful: ”Today, I have a very important friend here. She is my close friend, my partner, a very important person in my life...”
