The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 958: Chapter 958: Actually, I Know a Student

It’s probably just because she’s bored from sitting alone, Stephanie Tanzil leaned forward a bit, tilting her chin towards the elder who was talking to a few people from the medical organization, and in a lowered voice, she spoke again: ”Mr. Vinson. Do you know what’s special about the student Mr. Avalon recognized this time?”

Reynaldo Vinson, in his early forties, had extremely well-maintained skin, with hardly any wrinkles visible on his face. He had a large frame, was tall, and had sharp features—uncommonly three-dimensional for an Asian. Looking at his profile, Sadam Vinson clearly inherited his appearance, boasting a remarkably handsome face.

However, Sadam Vinson was somewhat cynical and had an air of an indolent playboy.

Reynaldo Vinson was the exact opposite of Sadam—his very presence, even without speaking and just by sitting there, exuded a serious and intense aura, strict and precise.

At this moment, a covered-bowl tea was placed in front of the man, with the newest Biluochun tea brewed within a blue and white porcelain tea cup with a white glaze base.

The emerald tea leaves floated and sank in the cup, resembling a splashed-ink landscape painting.

”Mr. Avalon hasn’t taken on any students for a long time; what made him change his mind this time?” Stephanie Tanzil’s white blouse featured a ruffled collar design, greatly softening the strong woman impression she typically gave off, adding a touch of womanly grace to her demeanor. She wasn’t gossiping, merely a bit curious: ”Mr. Avalon even called over people from the medical organizations, it seems like he’s paving the way for that student. In the future, they’ll certainly enter the medical organizations... Tsk, even Winston Sullivan didn’t get this treatment.”

The Winston Sullivan she mentioned was also a student of Mr. Avalon; after Mr. Avalon stopped teaching at Tsinghua University, the Chinese Medicine department was handed over to Winston Sullivan.

From this aspect alone, it was clear how much Mr. Avalon appreciated Winston Sullivan.

Stephanie Tanzil narrowed her eyes, not overthinking it, but at their level, she knew not to take things at face value and preferred to consider the deeper implications.

”It seems this new student is quite something.” She spoke with a hint of admiration.

Somehow this brought another person to her mind.

She was usually busy with work, with a schedule packed to the brim, and she didn’t pay much attention to the news in Beijing, but she was aware of Nathalie Quinlan winning first place in the medical competition.

Nathalie Quinlan didn’t just win the competition; she also boldly slapped Evelyn Quarles and Carloska in the face on Instagram, directly posting screenshots of that day’s ranking.

Stephanie Tanzil, not being from the medical community and not knowing much about it, personally had a great liking for traditional culture.

Chinese Medicine, like the Konghou, is part of traditional culture, and Evelyn Quarles, representing overseas medicine, steps on Chinese Medicine every year.

In front of the overseas media, they aggressively proclaim that Chinese Medicine is nothing but trickery, even going so far as to openly compare Chinese Medicine with the superstitious rituals of certain underdeveloped regions... Even as a non-industry person, Stephanie couldn’t bear to see this, and Nathalie Quinlan giving Evelyn Quarles a good Face Slap this time was quite satisfying for her to witness.

Besides feeling vindicated, Stephanie Tanzil couldn’t help but feel a bit disappointed: ”...Actually, I know of a Student who also just arrived in Beijing this year. If Mr. Avalon were willing to take on disciples, she definitely has the qualifications.”

Reynaldo Vinson lifted the covered-bowl Tea from the table, skimming off the froth with the lid, took a small sip, then set the cup back down and spoke indifferently: ”Mr. Avalon taking on a disciple surely has his reasons. I haven’t seen that person, but she must have her own exceptional qualities.”

”Of course.” Stephanie Tanzil forced a smile, hiding the regret in her eyes, and leaned back in her seat, putting some distance between herself and him.
