Chapter 138: Go Get My Underwear

Nangong Shui looked at Lin Zifeng with some resignation, thinking to himself, ”Kid, you’re lucky tonight.”

Based on Lin Zifeng’s understanding of Nangong Bing over the past few days, who knew what kind of trouble she might cause tonight? But he wasn’t scared. What kind of storms hadn’t he weathered these days? Hadn’t Nangong Bing and that little minx Hua Buqi caused him enough trouble already? He had to tolerate Hua Buqi’s disdainful glances at home, and be vigilant against Nangong Bing trying to trip him up at work.

Life is hard, but being a good bad guy is even harder.

After following Nangong Bing to the underground garage, the two of them sat in an ordinary sports car. Since nighttime security wasn’t as good as during the day, they didn’t want to be too conspicuous, so they casually drove the sports car toward the city center.

All the way, Lin Zifeng was surprisingly quiet. In order to cooperate with the method suggested by Nangong Shui, Lin Zifeng tried his best to maintain a good image, simply waiting for Nangong Bing to speak first and then heaping praise and reverence on her. But as it turned out, Nangong Bing was naturally cold. If he didn’t talk, did she really have to?

As a result, the two of them just stared at each other as they drove towards the city district.

Lin Zifeng looked at Nangong Bing’s face, as beautiful as a Heavenly Immortal, her Liu Mei apricot eyes, her jade nose and cherry lips, her rosy cheeks, her long hair resting against her neck and shoulders, slender arms, rounded shoulders, and those enticingly full xx that could drive one mad. Looking further down, he could barely make out the shallow valley, and further down, Lin Zifeng couldn’t clearly see anything.

”Do you always look at people like this?”

Seeing Lin Zifeng’s lecherous eyes sweep toward her chest, Nangong Bing became slightly angrily embarrassed.

”No, I was just admiring.”

”Boring.”

Nangong Bing really couldn’t find any topic to converse with him about, and Lin Zifeng didn’t feel like making much effort either. Following Nangong Shui’s instructions, he had to change his flippant attitude today.

After a couple of brief exchanges, the two of them ran out of things to say.

Nangong Bingxin was also frustrated. Normally he was quite talkative, so why was he now as silent as a mute? Half an hour on the road and he hadn’t let out a single peep, was he turning over a new leaf?

”Get out of the car!”

Having driven for nearly half an hour, they finally arrived at a women’s underwear store in the city center, and Nangong Bing ordered coldly and expressionlessly.

Looking at the underwear shop before him, Lin Zifeng said awkwardly, ”Boss, you don’t mean to buy... buy...” Lin Zifeng stammered, pointing to the trendy underwear shop inside, filled with an array of options and hanging labels.

Seeing him also embarrassed, she felt a small victory in her heart. Hmph, you wanted to come shopping with me? Now I’ll let you have your fill.

”What’s wrong? Is there something you can’t say outright?”

Nangong Bing was clearly trying to force Lin Zifeng to say it out loud, looking at the passersby and deliberately trying to embarrass Lin Zifeng.

But Lin Zifeng wasn’t stupid, either. You want to embarrass me? Could I let myself be embarrassed?

Lin Zifeng smirked, pointing to Nangong Bing’s chest and gesturing, ”Are you looking to buy this, this thing?”

Lin Zifeng’s expression was incredibly lewd, gesturing at Nangong Bing’s chest non-stop while unabashedly staring at it.

”You, you pervert!” There were pedestrians all along the street, and this bastard had the audacity to make such a disgusting gesture in front of so many people. Nangong Bing forcibly suppressed the rage in her heart from bursting out.

Then she glared at Lin Zifeng fiercely and headed straight for the lingerie store, leaving behind Lin Zifeng who rolled his eyes helplessly. What did I do wrong? Wasn’t it you who asked me to speak up? So I just honestly spoke my mind.

Watching Nangong Bing puffing away angrily towards the lingerie store, Lin Zifeng was quite happy to stay outside and smoke his cigarette.

But he waited and waited, and Nangong Bing seemed to have vanished after entering; she hadn’t come out even after more than ten minutes. Does buying lingerie really take that long?

Out of sheer boredom, Lin Zifeng had almost smoked through four or five cigarettes. Just as he was getting impatient, and was about to call her phone.

Outside the lingerie store, a sneaky-looking sleazy man was loitering around, seeming about to enter the store. In the dead of night, there wasn’t a single male in the lingerie store, and there you are, a big man lurking around—Isn’t that clearly up to no good?

Lin Zifeng threw away his cigarette, his gaze intent as he watched the man’s every move, ready to subdue him the moment he dared to step inside. There were too many perverts around these days. Lin Zifeng vividly remembered a news report about a man who liked to collect women’s underwear, to the point where he stole all the lingerie hanging in an entire neighborhood. When the police finally caught him, they found nearly a hundred pieces of various styles of underwear in his house, almost rivaling a lingerie store.

The man looked around cautiously before wildly glancing here and there, as if he was up to no good.

Just when Lin Zifeng was about to step forward and play the hero, Nangong Bing finally came out, holding only an Apple phone in her hand, nothing else. She shouted at Lin Zifeng, ”You, come inside quickly!”

Her tone was cold, devoid of any emotion. Watching that sneaky sleazy man, Lin Zifeng shook his head helplessly. It seemed his chance to be Robin Hood tonight had gone. He might as well wait for someone else to be the brave Samaritan.

Nangong Bing’s outfit was quite decent today; she wore an off-white semi-transparent oversized wool sweater with a gray classic long skirt, while her sleek black hair cascaded over her shoulders like a waterfall—standing at the doorway of the lingerie store, she was indeed a dazzling scene. Just her presence alone had already drawn a lot of attention.

With those various lingerie items behind her, she practically looked like a model.

Lin Zifeng touched his nose and took a moment to admire her. He couldn’t help but think that with Nangong Bing’s figure, she would definitely make more than enough as a model.

”What’s up, boss?”

Lin Zifeng tried to brighten his smile as much as he could, hoping it would be as good as Nangong Senior had said it would be. But who knew Nangong Bing, with her hands behind her back, would say coldly, ”I bought a lot of lingerie, go pick them up for me.”

What, pick up lingerie for you?

Is she out of her mind? Me, a grown man, going to pick up lingerie for a woman? You, you’re doing this on purpose to mess with me.

”So, you don’t want to do it?”

Seeing Lin Zifeng’s face change colors, Nangong Bing felt a bit of schadenfreude, and said, ”I provide for you every month, food and drink; is it too much to ask for this little favor? What use do I have for you then? Do you really think I’m Nangong Bing, with money to burn on slackers?” Watching Lin Zifeng’s embarrassed face contorting, Nangong Bing found more joy in realizing she had a talent for pulling pranks. Maybe if she stopped being a CEO, she could become a prank expert or something like that, right? Humph, I think I could do it.

Nangong Bing was happily lost in her own thoughts.

”Boss, this isn’t good, is it? I’m a man. Asking me to fetch lingerie for you, this, what would other people think?”

”Stop making excuses. Didn’t you insist on coming out with me to shop today? Your job now is to be my bag carrier, so tonight you must help me with everything,” Nangong Bing didn’t care about his plight.

She thought of all the losses she had suffered at his hands these days. Wasn’t today the perfect opportunity to get even?

”Well, Bingbing, since you’ve put it that way, as your husband, I guess I’m all in. Lingerie it is.” He was supposed to do the task with a sour face, right? But then, he even called her Bingbing! And claimed to be her husband? What made Nangong Bing nearly explode was that so many men wanted to carry her bags and couldn’t, and here he was reluctantly doing it as if it were a suicide mission.
