After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 428: Chapter 431: You Are Enough!【4】

”Right, what I want you to see is indeed this world,” Leng Zimo said solemnly as he looked at her, ”For many years, I’ve been striving forward alone, flying around the world. In the early mornings, on the hotel terraces, watching the city sunrise, a cigar was the only thing accompanying me. That day in Lapland, as I watched the midnight sun, even though I was walking alone on the streets of a foreign land, I didn’t feel lonely at all, because I knew that somewhere else in the world, there was someone who was always with me. So, you see, you don’t really need to do anything for me. Just being here, by my side, is more than enough!”

Luo Xiaoqian’s eyes shone brightly as she looked at him, and only after he had finished speaking did she tiptoe and plant a loud kiss on his face.

”I understand now!”

Having said that, she turned around and walked away.

”Where are you going?” Leng Zimo asked in confusion as he followed her into the room.

”Practice, of course!” Luo Xiaoqian turned on the music on her phone, putting a Bluetooth earbud in her right ear, ”Even though you don’t need me to do anything, I still want to work twice as hard, because I want to become the best version of myself to be with you!”

Taking her gaze away, she focused on the music by her ear, nodding lightly to the beat, and then she started dancing to the steps taught by her teacher the day before.

Leng Zimo stood by the door of the terrace, watching her earnestly dance in her loose pajamas, and suddenly, his chest was filled with a soft and warm emotion.

...

...

Upon Luo Xiaoqian’s insistence, Leng Zimo did not persist to accompany her to class but stayed in the hotel to work.

After the afternoon classes, Yu Tong took Gao Jie and Lin Ye on the return flight. She knew that these two rarely had the chance to be alone, so she took them and left early to avoid putting pressure on Luo Xiaoqian.

The time that followed belonged solely to the world of Leng Zimo and Luo Xiaoqian.

The next morning, they caught a flight to Los Angeles together. Leng Zimo handed over his master tape to a post-production company in Hollywood for special effects processing. Afterwards, they rented a car and toured around the city of Los Angeles.

In two days, starting from Hollywood’s Avenue of Stars, he showed her his own Starlight Brick, and then they explored far and wide.

They visited places like Hollywood’s Outdoor Theater Town, Staples Center, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Dolby Theatre, Getty Center... to Chinatown, Little Tokyo... He took her to listen to the Los Angeles Philharmonic, to the open-air amphitheater for plays, to the museum to see paintings by Van Gogh and Rembrandt, and even put on casual clothes to experience real American street culture together.

Watching the man, who always wore suits and had a stern face, dance with African American youths, Luo Xiaoqian was completely astonished.

As the two drove to the special effects company to check the samples, Luo Xiaoqian sat in the passenger seat, still staring blankly at Leng Zimo.

”What are you looking at?”

While waiting for the light to turn green, Leng Zimo asked with a smile.

”I was just wondering, is there anything in this world that you can’t do?!”

Playing the piano, writing songs, singing, acting, directing, dancing, managing, cooking... This man was truly an all-rounder, and he excelled in everything. She really couldn’t think of anything that could stump him.

Leng Zimo started to laugh, ”Actually, there are many things I can’t do.”

”Really? Like what?” Luo Xiaoqian asked, curious.
