After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 411: Chapter 414: A Love with No Flaws to Exploit [7]

Just as Xu Pei said, Luo Xiaoqian is now like a diamond freshly mined. Whether she can be polished into a dazzling diamond is highly dependent on this album, which is why he places so much importance on it. Despite being busy with various kinds of work, he still insists on overseeing it personally, rather than carelessly handing it over to another producer in the company.

If Xu Pei hadn’t come along, he would have produced the album himself. The reason he entrusted it to Xu Pei was because he trusted her abilities and believed that she could make Luo Xiaoqian sparkle even more.

”Zimo!” Xu Pei chuckled, ”You aren’t having trouble letting go, are you?!”

Caught out, Leng Zimo didn’t try to hide his feelings, ”How long?”

It wasn’t that he couldn’t bear to be apart from her, but he was very familiar with the work conditions in the United States. Such training would definitely be very tough, and he indeed was somewhat reluctant to let her suffer through it.

”Three weeks to a month—that will depend on her ability to absorb and comprehend,” Xu Pei said with a serious face. ”Mr. Leng Zimo, I must remind you that I’m considering both the singer’s and the company’s interests. You’d better not mix personal feelings into this. You know very well what choice is best for her, don’t you?”

”You’re right; as a producer, I should respect your opinion. Of course, I also want to ask for Luo Xiaoqian’s opinion.” Leng Zimo picked up his phone, but before he could dial, Luo Xiaoqian’s call came through. Seeing the words ”Little Fool” on the screen, he smiled and raised his hand to answer the call, ”I was just about to look for you!”

”Looking for me? What’s up?” Luo Xiaoqian asked from the other end of the phone.

Xu Pei, sitting across the table, immediately guessed it was Luo Xiaoqian’s call. She saw the smile on Leng Zimo’s face and slowly lowered her gaze.

”If the company arranges an opportunity for you to receive advanced training in the United States, would you want to go? Of course, I must warn you that the training will include both vocal and dance training and will be very tough.”

”I’m not afraid of hard work; I’m willing to go!” Luo Xiaoqian said excitedly, ”How long will it take?”

”About three weeks to a month,” Leng Zimo said.

”That long?” Luo Xiaoqian’s voice dimmed, ”Then... do you want me to go?!”

She was certainly thrilled about the opportunity—after all, the United States nearly leads global music trends. Training at such a cutting-edge would definitely be of great benefit to her.

But the thought of not seeing him for so long made her reluctant.

Hearing her thoughts, Leng Zimo felt comforted inside, ”I respect your decision.”

Luo Xiaoqian hesitated on the phone for a moment, then coquettishly said, ”If you promise to visit me when you have time, I will go.”

She knew his work ethic wouldn’t allow personal feelings to interfere, but on a personal level, she still wanted him to understand her reluctance.

”I promise you,” Leng Zimo laughed, ”So, is that decided?”

”Yes.”

”So, what did you need to talk to me about?”

During work hours, she seldom called him unless there was something important.

”It’s like this—the time I was in Sichuan, I had promised Jiao Yang I would treat him to a meal, right?” Luo Xiaoqian chuckled on the other end of the line, ”I am specifically asking for Lord Emperor Leng’s approval. I declare in advance this is solely to repay the favor I owe him; we can’t keep owing him, can we?!”
