After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 424: Chapter 427: A World of Two People [10]

”I estimate I won’t be back in the Capital until a week from now,” Leng Zimo said.

”Is that so...”

Luo Xiaoqian’s mood instantly fell. She had thought that after returning to the country, she would be able to see him again, but now she’d heard she would have to wait another week, naturally, she couldn’t be happy.

”Disappointed?” Leng Zimo asked from the other end.

”A little,” Luo Xiaoqian admitted honestly, then took a deep breath, ”But it’s okay, I know you’re busy, it doesn’t matter. We’ll meet when you’re back in the Capital then. Also, remember to call me.”

”This... I don’t think that’s necessary!”

”...”

Luo Xiaoqian was taken aback and fell silent.

”Not necessary,” what did he mean by that?!

Could it be, just after two weeks apart, he... no longer liked her?!

”Xiao Qian?!”

”Yes!”

Her voice was very downcast.

”Are you angry?” Leng Zimo’s voice was tinged with concern, ”Just now, I was joking with you. If you like, I can call you anytime, or you can call me. By the way, I’ve sent you a gift; it should have already arrived at your door.”

Knocking sounds came from outside the door.

”Someone’s knocking. Hold on!”

Luo Xiaoqian stood up and walked over to pull open the door.

Outside stood a person.

A tall figure, dressed in a neat light-colored suit, one hand still holding a phone to his ear, and that face that could charm all beings wore an indulgent smile.

”Do you like this gift?!”

Leng Zimo looked at Luo Xiaoqian, whose small mouth was agape with surprise, as he asked her both through the phone and in person.

”Zimo?” Luo Xiaoqian finally snapped back to reality, then flung the door fully open and leapt up, throwing herself onto him, ”Leng Zimo, it really is you!”

Tightening his arm around her as she threw herself at him, Leng Zimo unapologetically embraced her tightly.

”Of course it’s me!”

”You big jerk!” Luo Xiaoqian clung to his neck tightly, ”You lied to me, saying you weren’t in the Capital and that it would take another week for you to return to the country. You big liar...”

”I didn’t lie to you. I’m indeed not in the Capital right now, and yes, I am supposed to return to the country after a week,” Leng Zimo buried his face in her hair, inhaling the long-missed fresh scent, ”It’s your own fault for not guessing it.”

”This is called being straightforward, not stupid. To scold me the moment we meet, and earlier you said it wasn’t necessary to call, you scared me to death, you know? I thought... I thought... you didn’t like me anymore... You big jerk, Leng Zimo, I’m going to bite you to death...” She retorted while nibbling on the skin of his neck, half in jest, like a small animal.

It was just a joke, but for Leng Zimo such teasing was far too stimulating.

Not seeing her for over two weeks, now this little girl suddenly so enthusiastic, he was about to be set ablaze by her.

”I must warn you, you are playing with fire!”

Kissing her earlobe gently, his voice was noticeably hoarse.

Luo Xiaoqian’s body stiffened, and she finally realized they were still in the hallway. She let go of him immediately and slid off his body with a flushed face, ”Let’s go inside and talk!”

The two entered the room one after the other, with Luo Xiaoqian closing the door tightly behind them.

As soon as she turned around, she was enveloped by his figure, and the next instant, his lips eagerly found hers.

A single day apart is as long as three autumns?

Leng Zimo felt that it had only been two weeks, but it seemed like a century had passed; he missed her so much he was nearly going insane!
