After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 414: Chapter 417: A Love with No Flaws to Exploit [10]

”Thank you, I will,” Luo Xiaoqian responded with her mouth, but her gaze caught a cryptic smile on Jiao Yang’s face, and she suddenly startled.

When this guy heard that she was going to talk about the album, he wasn’t surprised at all. Could it be that the song was written by him for her?!

Having studied classical music from a young age, playing the piano beautifully, and later switching to the pop music industry, for all these years, he had made countless singers and bands famous in the United States. Although he was never heard to have written a song, such a person must certainly be very talented in music.

The songwriter made it clear that the song was written for her. Previously, she always thought that in this world, other than Leng Zimo, she couldn’t imagine anyone else with such talent who would want to write a song for her.

But now, seeing Jiao Yang, she suddenly considered this possibility.

This man definitely had the ability, and it was possible.

Perhaps he used that method to send the song to the company because he was worried that Leng Zimo would object.

Only, those lyrics were about love... This guy was just a friend to her, so why would he write such lyrics?!

”Jiao Yang...” Luo Xiaoqian tried to make her tone sound casual as she asked, ”Have you ever written a song?”

”I haven’t written one before, but...” Jiao Yang turned his face, looking at her with a beaming smile, ”If needed, I wouldn’t mind giving my first time to you!”

”No need, no need, I really couldn’t bear that,” Luo Xiaoqian hurriedly averted her gaze and continued to eat her vegetables, ”I was just asking.”

”Ha...” Jiao Yang laughed heartily, ”Just kidding. But actually, I have been trying recently. My Chinese is still not very good, so I’d probably start with composing, and someone else would have to write the lyrics.”

Could it really be him?!

Luo Xiaoqian added some more vegetables to the pot, ”Besides the piano, you must also be skilled at many other instruments, right?”

”I know a little about percussion and string instruments, and I vaguely understand fur...”

”You mean a smattering, right?!” Luo Xiaoqian laughed.

”Right, a smattering.”

”The percussion you mentioned, does it include drums and such?” she continued to ask.

”Yeah, I love playing drums, especially some ethnic percussion instruments, like waist drums from the northwest...”

”Or perhaps, African drums?”

Jiao Yang nodded, ”I also like African drums. Drums are a very passionate instrument, I feel, very much like me!”

By now, Luo Xiaoqian was more certain than ever that the song was written by Jiao Yang without a doubt.

True to a good friend, he had thought of helping her by writing a song.

Moved in her heart, Luo Xiaoqian once again took her cup and said earnestly to him, ”Jiao Yang, this toast is for you, thank you!”

Little did Jiao Yang know her thoughts, ”What is it for this time?”

Since he didn’t wish to admit it, of course, she wouldn’t expose him.

”For everything, all the help you’ve given me, I’m glad to have a friend like you,” Luo Xiaoqian said.

A friend?!

A flicker of darkness passed through Jiao Yang’s eyes unnoticed, but he had already brought his cup forward, touching it to hers lightly, ”’Friend, no need for thanks.’ Since we are friends, there’s no need for formalities between us!”

Friend, no need for thanks?!

As Luo Xiaoqian pondered over the phrase while drinking her juice, she suddenly realized what it meant and burst out laughing so hard she couldn’t control the juice from spewing out, ”You... ha... Jiao Yang, you... ha... you’re killing me with laughter...”

...

...

Can everyone guess what ”Friend, no need for thanks” means?
