I Am Your Natural Enemy

”This thunder, no one can cover it up, and no one is allowed to cover it.

We must let this thunder explode. If it doesn’t explode today, it will surely become a bigger thunder in the future.

No matter who did these things, regardless of the reason, the result and the process are uncontrollable.

Moreover, it is absolutely not permitted.

Allowing similar things to happen, everything that follows completely contradicts our strategy.

Previously, we always had differing opinions on when to slowly let the Spiritual Qi Resurgence surface.

We all know that as the pace of Spiritual Qi Resurgence accelerates, we cannot suppress the news forever.

Now, things have escalated to this point, and it is time to release some information.

At least the happenings in Nanyang are beyond anyone’s control.

Fortunately, the thunder in Nanyang has exploded now. If it were three years, no, ten years later,

the Divine Land would inevitably suffer a massive impact, and by then, any preparation would be too late.

While we were cautiously engaging and investigating,

someone on the border of the Divine Land created a fixed connection point directly.”

At this, the General Director could not conceal his anger. When he first heard the news, cold sweat broke out all over him.

How is this different from someone setting up an uncontrollable, increasingly powerful, and ever-ready-to-explode super-large mushroom bomb next to the Divine Land?

Everyone was silent, digesting this sudden news.

Then the leader looked toward the Old Celestial Master.

”Old Celestial Master, what do you think?”

”Supreme Taiyi Savior Heavenly Master.” The Old Celestial Master chanted the holy name and said, ”The entry classics of the Celestial Master Mansion were sent to the Scorching Sun Department ten years ago, along with the simplified Foundation Establishment Method compiled by myself and fellow Daoists, which has been gathering dust in the Scorching Sun Department for eight years.”

With the Old Celestial Master stating his position, others followed with their opinions.

In summary, it was fortunate that this was discovered, and it was fortunate that it exploded in Nanyang; otherwise, they wouldn’t have had time to prepare.

As for the General Director authorizing the local people in Nanyang to act expediently, no one questioned it anymore.

What they discussed was not how to handle the current situation, but how to end it, manage the aftermath, and set the long-term direction.

Everything has pros and cons. Previously, the news was always hidden, but it’s clear that as the pace of the Spiritual Qi Resurgence speeds up, it’s becoming increasingly impossible to keep it hidden.

In the future, everyone will inevitably have to know; no one can stop the wheels of time. Blocking it with a mantis forearm is a dead-end.

The only choice is to adapt to the changes of the era.

Now is not too late, and it’s not the worst-case scenario.

The brief meeting ended, leaving only the leader, the General Director, and the Old Celestial Master.

The Old Celestial Master spoke candidly.

”Send my Magic Sword. Wen Yan is not someone with a hard heart. I’m worried he’ll be too soft-hearted, and I’m also worried that after we make our decision, someone will harm him.”

”Alright.” The General Director nodded and immediately made arrangements.

The leader naturally knew who Wen Yan was, picked up the phone from his side, and made the arrangements himself, not involving the General Director.

The events in Nanyang now compel the Divine Land to take a step forward. Continuing to suppress could unpredictably trigger something, and if it bursts like a thunderstorm, the deep foundation and long history would mean a greater thunder than Nanyang’s.

After the meeting, the General Director went directly to the command hall of the Scorching Sun Department, looking at various images projected on the central giant equipment, and muttered softly.

”Today, formally commences the second phase of the Spiritual Qi Resurgence.”

Elsewhere, at the connection point, Wen Yan found a path leading inside.

He handed his phone to Gray Cloth, instructing it to record, as he had become a bit numb to the situation here, surrounded by the dead.

He reached the inside of the compound and found the route to the underground.

Here, almost no living beings remained, mostly automated defense equipment. Without verification, anything that moved here would be killed, be it living beings or Ghosts.

Even an insect flying in would trigger the corresponding device.

Wen Yan casually broke the limbs of a Zombie and, with violent Yang Energy, evaporated its Power, continuing forward.

He opened the last door to reveal a vast underground space.

In one eye, he saw row upon row of pillars, each bound with a corpse wrapped like a mummy in bandages, densely packed, countless in number.

In the other eye, he saw a mass of Lost Souls.

Countless Lost Souls piled into small mountains, seemingly oppressed by something.

Every Lost Soul was incomplete, with many riddled with familiar flaws, and some on the verge of dissipating.

Among the mountains of Lost Souls were numerous small ghosts wielding little steel forks, tirelessly patrolling.

If they saw a Lost Soul breaking free of what oppressed it, inch by inch, climbing to the edge after who knows how long, they’d fork it up and throw it back onto the mountains of Lost Souls.

And some Lost Souls, already near dissipation, were struck by the steel forks and instantly vanished like smoke.

Wen Yan stood at the edge of the iron framework, seeing both scenes simultaneously, speechless for a long while.
