I Am Your Natural Enemy

They set up their own flag, symbolizing that they have become a force themselves, and many things will be different.

But now Wen Yan has them set up the flag, so there’s no reason to hesitate.

Look at this flag, black and solemn, plus those three words, instantly adding a +100 bonus to justice.

Long Blade Floating Ghost instructed the other Water Ghosts to keep control of the direction as he pulled out his long blade, standing at the bow, silent ripples spreading out, invoking the other ships to gather.

To combat injustice, of course, you need a fleet. Six ships, then six. Although it feels a bit shabby, if there aren’t enough ships, just bring more people.

The silent call spreads through the sea, and elsewhere, Water Ghosts aboard the sunken ships immediately changed course, heading towards Long Blade Floating Ghost’s ship.

A few hours later, six sunken ships converged, and a large group of black sea crabs propelled the six sunken ships, swiftly moving in silence through the sea. Any creatures with a hint of spiritual awareness avoided the fleet from far away.

After half a day, a Water Ghost reported that a ship was approaching.

The sunken ships began to rise, surfacing above the water.

Wen Yan came to the deck, took a glance through the telescope, and saw in the distance a rust-covered iron ship silently drifting this way.

Wen Yan returned the telescope to Long Blade Floating Ghost, who frowned.

”Star Lord, forgive me, this guy likely sensed the summon when I called for the other ships.

Yesterday, this guy was spotted by our people, and the Scorching Sun Department has already been notified, but I didn’t expect it to come over here now.”

”Is this the Ghost Ship?”

”Yes, the Scorching Sun Department reported that it should be a steamship from Europa called the Dahlia, nearly a hundred years old.

It went off course during its first voyage and was reportedly sunk in the ocean, but its exact location was never found.

The reason for its sinking also remains an unsolved mystery.

Recently, it suddenly appeared on the ocean, drifting with the currents, and only in the past two days has it drifted close to the Southern Sea.

Based on its previous speed, it was supposed to take at least two to three more days to drift into the Southern Sea.”

Wen Yan took out the Scorching Sun Department’s phone, still with signal, and searched for relevant information in their database.

Indeed, he found plenty of information.

The Dahlia first sailed ninety years ago, disappearing into the East Ocean.

In fact, it had already been discovered by the Divine Land two months ago. Based on then-current speculation, given the traces on the ship, it certainly wasn’t a recent appearance; it might have been showing up for a while.

It was only discovered when the Dahlia drifted close to a navigation route.

At that time, the Island Country closest to it had already sent people over, but no results were obtained. They remained silent, publishing nothing, just letting the Ghost Ship drift away.

The Divine Land received unverified rumors that those sent aboard all disappeared silently on the Dahlia, with no news coming out.

Ah Mei coincidentally had a ship nearby then and went over to check it out. Later they heard there was a Devil on board, and as the ship drifted toward the boundaries of the Divine Land, they waited for the spectacle.

Thus, the matter fell to the Scorching Sun Department, requiring its discreet attention.

The ship was also peculiar; it sometimes sank into the sea and vanished, then sometimes appeared on the ocean surface; it had even been lost track of lately, only to be first detected by these Water Ghosts of the Southern Sea.

Wen Yan gazed distantly at the rusted steel ship before looking down at the ships manned by Floating Ghosts below.

Then he checked its position, well, still within the Divine Land Central Region, having sailed half a day without leaving their territory.

”Perfect timing. The flag is up, so let’s deal with this first, and give you guys a new ship.”

Wen Yan took out his phone and tried to make a video call, but nobody answered.

A few minutes later, Gauss called back.

”Wen Yan, asking for a meal?”

”No, I’m out. I’ll arrange a meal when I get back. I have something I need to consult you about.”

Wen Yan activated the rear camera, filming the distant steel ship.

”I’m out at sea, ran into a Ghost Ship; heard there’s a Devil on board, can you tell what it is?”

”Just looking at this, can’t see much.

But if it’s a Devil, simply kill it.

Any Devil managing to get on a Ghost Ship shouldn’t be very powerful.

If there are any horns, save one for me, and when you return, I’ll treat you to a meal.”

”Alright.”

Ending the call, Wen Yan waved his hand, and the six sunken ships slowly approached.

Once close enough, Wen Yan felt the Dahlia had a heavy Yin Qi, plenty of grievances, likely holding many things like Evil Spirits.

He checked his equipment, shook out the Gray Cloth, ready to head out, Long Blade Floating Ghost hurriedly requested.

”Star Lord, let us handle it. It should just be some Floating Ghosts.”

”I’ll do it, I’m in a hurry.”

Holding the Gray Cloth in one hand, Wen Yan stepped on its other end like a surfboard, speeding across the water’s surface.

Upon reaching the ship’s edge, the Gray Cloth flew up, wrapping around the railing, pulling him onto the deck.

Here it was empty, nothing visible, no sound of engines or anything of the sort, a huge smokestack atop the ship with no smoke emitting.

Wen Yan ventured into the bridge, as he looked out, everything outside suddenly turned pitch black, the sea as if ink.

And on the surrounding walls, rust streaks began to fall away, revealing humanoid imprints beneath.

A multitude of warped-faced Evil Spirits emerged strugglingly from inside.

Just then, there was suddenly a prompt before Wen Yan.

”Spectral vessel.”

”Dahlia, during its maiden voyage, all communication methods were sabotaged, all navigation tools destroyed, three navigators killed.

Someone intended to sacrifice everyone on board, completing a summoning.

Unfortunately, they chose the wrong era for their sacrificial rites.

The ancient ritual failed to complete the summoning, leading to an aberration.

All Power sank with the Dahlia, becoming an abyss, incomplete over time.”
