I Am Your Natural Enemy

”This thing...”

”Isn’t it nice? It was bestowed by the Star Lord. We hardly dare to eat it, only tasting one after many days.”

Valak looked at the tomato in his hand, split it in half, and gave a part to the other person.

”Who is the Star Lord?”

”Huh, you actually don’t know? The one who instructed us to send it to you is the Star Lord.” The Water Ghost was worried that Valak, this foreigner, might not understand the meaning of Star Lord, so they explained it to him.

Valak was almost breaking out in cold sweat listening to this. Whatever the Water Ghost said, he nodded, even nodding in agreement, no wonder that power was so terrifying.

”You’re really lucky; our Star Lord has no bias against ghosts and zombies.

If you had trespassed into the Divine Land Central Region and were discovered by some ill-tempered people, you might not have been able to leave.”

”No, no, no, I didn’t trespass on my own; I was trapped on the ship, and it brought me here.” Valak immediately denied.

”Oh, no wonder. It’s okay, don’t worry, the Star Lord has instructed us, if we are to send you out, we definitely can.”

Half an hour later, a small boat from the Scorching Sun Department appeared, leading the way like a pilot ship, and no one approached the entire time.

On the other side, Wen Yan stood on the deck of the Dahlia, made a phone call to the General Director, and stated the main points.

”That’s basically how it is; this ship seems to be able to appear in two worlds at the same time.

It has very significant intelligence value and exploratory value, etc.

Of course, according to the Scorching Sun Department’s classification,

although this ship is a bit large, it can still be classified under the category of spirits and monsters?”

”Mhm.” The General Director responded softly.

”Since it counts as having spirituality and even a bit of its own emotion, it belongs to the category of spirits and monsters now.

And spirits and monsters are a type of creature.

According to convention, creatures have some basic rights.

If it hasn’t violated our Divine Land’s relevant regulations, it should have the right to choose where to live.

That’s correct, right?”

”Yes, indeed, it’s an internationally recognized universal rule.

After sinking for ninety years, it evolved into a spirit monster; no one can claim ownership of it anymore.

The only potential disputes would concern the cultural artifacts aboard.

But according to what you’ve said, there shouldn’t be any of those on board now.

Most were destroyed back then, and even if some remain,

if it had stayed at the seafloor, that would be one thing; appearing on the sea for months means they’ve likely been ruined.

If it’s willing to follow Divine Land’s rules and live as a spirit monster in the Southern Sea, it’s not unfeasible either.”

”Those bits and pieces can be sorted out later; General Director, have your people keep an eye on it.”

Having received a definite answer, Wen Yan disregarded the other items, like the paintings, or artifacts, or some personal belongings.

The important thing is the ship itself, which the victims care the least about.

Those personal items can be given to the Scorching Sun Department to hand over to the victims’ families back then.

Ninety years seem long, but some victim family members born around that time might still be around.

”Minister, sending the Demon God and those ghosts out of the country shouldn’t be a problem, right?”

”No problem at all. Their matters don’t concern us. Since it’s confirmed they didn’t trespass intentionally, we have no reason to detain them. Even if something happens later, we can only appeal for a peaceful resolution, as a basic principle.”

”Alright, then everything’s fine.”

After finishing these topics, Wen Yan brought up other matters.

”There’s another issue, hadn’t we been saying that some giant beasts have appeared in the sea of the present world?

This time, my experience led me to conclude that the current giant beasts appearing are actually weaklings.

Among the giant beasts, they should be the prey.

But even these giant beasts, just in terms of size and power, are already about at the level of Night Vigil Deities.

I think more powerful, larger, and more dangerous things will certainly appear later.

And these things might first appear from the sea or might have already appeared without us noticing.

Those giant beasts might not have particularly high spiritual intelligence, but what I saw definitely showed some intelligence, not low-intelligence beasts.

So, General Director, is the game you mentioned earlier ready?”

”What are you thinking? Making it in just one or two months? This isn’t a small job like blasting away a mountain, which can be done in ten days.”

”Alright then...”

Wen Yan was somewhat disappointed, as his plan to have players reverse infiltrate over there couldn’t be completed so quickly.

The fastest ongoing progress, in fact, is Zhang Qihui’s version of the White Bone Dao Soldier with No Spiritual Intelligence.

”When will you take Guihai Yidong away? That guy seems possessed, demolishing and rebuilding under my house. I’ve even heard news that Ah Mei’s side is preparing to restart their lunar exploration. Don’t let someone else occupy that tree in the end.”

”We have already published the world’s first set of high-precision lunar surface geological maps.”

”Huh? When did that happen?”

”Ten days ago. In fact, it was prepared earlier, just not published until now. Don’t be too anxious, and don’t worry too much; everything proceeds in an orderly manner. The preparations needed for what you’re talking about are numerous.”

”Fine then, I’ll continue to Nanyang. I was originally thinking of tidying up a few sorcerers, but ended up encountering this first on the road.”

”Be careful on the way, your Grand Uncle Master called me, asking if he should send you some Great Zombies, would you like that?”

”Isn’t that inappropriate...”

”There’s nothing inappropriate about it; your signal was lost for some time on the road, and your Grand Uncle Master somehow knew about this.

You got attacked inside Divine Land.

Also on your way to Nanyang for the meeting.

Before, they stopped several Taoist priests from the Three Mountains and Five Ridges from going there.

Considering all this, we now have sufficient reasons to enhance the security of our personnel.”

”...”

Wen Yan didn’t know what to say for a while. This meant the General Director had ample reasons to suspect the people from Nanyang were not straightforward.

”Don’t worry; the procedure is flawless; it’ll arrive in a couple of hours.”

On the other side, after hanging up the phone, the General Director looked up at the screen in front, showing the images of the Grand Uncle Master and several others like the Old Celestial Master, as they were in a video conference.

The intelligence Wen Yan was about to report was considered very important by the General Director, so he let everyone listen together.

After hanging up, the General Director instructed the secretary.

”First, in the name of the Scorching Sun Department, send a written note to the relevant persons at the Nanyang Union; our personnel participating in the meeting were attacked in the sea close to the border between both sides. Among those involved, there’s a core member closely related to recently active demons in Nanyang. Please give us an explanation. Also, inform them that we need to add necessary security for our personnel.”

After instructing, once the secretary went out, the General Director looked up at the bigwigs in the video meeting, who seemed quite satisfied with this comment.

”Gentlemen, we can continue the meeting now. What Wen Yan said just now is an addition to our discussion topics.”
