”Fuck! You fucking dare to hit me!?” Zhang Xuanfeng’s face twisted with rage, turning shades of green and purple. He was absolutely fuming.

Although Zhang Xuanfeng wasn’t among the top-tier rich second generation in Northern Mountain City or Jiangnan Province, his father was, at the very least, the director of an Earth-Level city’s Health Bureau, right? For years, countless businessmen had tried to curry favor with him, bowing and scraping, speaking in hushed, subservient tones. But now, he had just been viciously slapped across the face by Chen Fei.

This was an absolute, utter humiliation! Zhang Xuanfeng had never been subjected to such shame in his entire life!

SMACK!

Just as everyone stood there, dumbfounded, that crisp and ’melodious’ sound of a slap rang out clearly once more.

”So what if I hit you? Not happy about it? Go on, bite me,” Chen Fei said coolly after slapping Young Master Zhang twice. He acted as if nothing had happened, offering a mocking smile. The corner of his mouth was unmistakably curled into a faint arc, dripping with disdain.

”You motherfucker... Fuck! Why are you all standing so far away, just staring like idiots? My dad is Zhang Kainian, a shareholder of this club! Get him! Beat this son of a bitch to death for me! Damn it, he dared to slap me! If anything happens, my dad, Zhang Kainian, will take responsibility!” Young Master Zhang had never suffered such an indignity. Having been slapped twice in front of everyone, he was so angry his neck was bulging as he shrieked hysterically.

However, upon seeing this, how could the waiters of the Luxury Club possibly dare to attack anyone? After all, they were just waiters. Complaining inwardly, each of them tried to break up the fight, ”Young Master Zhang, please calm down, just calm down...”

”Calm down my ass! Are you deaf? My dad is Zhang Kainian! Attack him! Hit him hard! He’ll take responsibility for anything that happens!” But Zhang Xuanfeng was seeing red, consumed by the intense humiliation. A few mere club waiters were defying his orders? What was the meaning of this? Were they looking down on him, Young Master Zhang?

SMACK!

Yet another crisp slap cut off Young Master Zhang’s tirade.

Instantly, his face stung with fiery pain again.

”Is there something wrong with you? Do I have to slap you a few more times before you’ll shut up? Are you just asking for a beating?” Chen Fei looked at the once-again dumbfounded Zhang Xuanfeng and said, as if giving earnest advice. Damn it, this is my third slap. I’m getting tired of hitting you. Can’t you just quiet down?

”Ah! Ah! AH!”

”I... I... I’ll fucking kill you!”

Zhang Xuanfeng naturally hadn’t expected to be slapped by Chen Fei yet again. He felt as if his lungs would explode with rage. Shaking all over, he finally couldn’t hold back and began rolling up his sleeves to fight.

”Stop!” Just then, a group of men in black suits hurried over. A man with a crew cut, who appeared to be in charge, barked the order coldly.

”Abing, you’re just in time! This bastard fucking dared to hit me! Get him! Kill him for me...” As soon as Young Master Zhang saw the crew-cut man and the others arrive, he acted as if he’d seen his saviors, jumping up and shouting.

But before he could finish, the crew-cut man interrupted him. ”Young Master Zhang, the boss asked me to tell you not to cause trouble here. Otherwise, he might have to call Director Zhang.”

What!? Me, causing trouble? Young Master Zhang’s face flushed as red as a pig’s liver. I’ve been fucking slapped three times, and you’re saying *I’m* the one causing trouble? Are you blind? And you’re going to call my dad!? He immediately burst out, ”Abing, open your fucking eyes and look! I’ve been slapped three times by him, and you’re still saying I, Zhang Xuanfeng, am the one causing trouble!?”

To be fair, he did have a point. The son of the city’s health bureau director had been slapped in full view of everyone. But he didn’t stop to think that if he hadn’t caused the problem himself, Chen Fei wouldn’t have even bothered with him.

Hearing Zhang Xuanfeng’s roar, the crew-cut man known as Abing looked closely at Young Master Zhang’s face. He could indeed make out several bright red finger marks. A strange look flashed across his stern face before he turned to Chen Fei and said coldly, ”Sir, I trust you’re also a guest here tonight. Please don’t make things difficult for us, alright?”

”Of course, of course. I’ll be more careful next time,” Chen Fei replied. He hadn’t expected the man to be so reasonable and actually felt a little embarrassed, smiling awkwardly.

Witnessing this, our Young Master Zhang instantly bristled with fury, trembling all over and fuming. ”What do you mean by that, Abing? I’ve been slapped three fucking times, and you’re still so polite to him! You think just because the boss has your back, you can look down on everyone? Let me tell you, my dad is Zhang Kainian! Piss me off, and don’t blame me for getting fucking nasty with you!”

After all, Zhang Xuanfeng was the son of the city’s health bureau director. He had also been slapped three times by Chen Fei in public. Logically, here in the Luxury Club, on his own turf, he should have been able to get his revenge. But now, a mere head of security dared to warn him with that tone, and what’s more, he was speaking so politely to Chen Fei. How could he not be furious? He was absolutely livid.

Faced with such insults, the crew-cut man known as Abing’s expression shifted, a flicker of anger in his eyes. Ultimately, he suppressed it and said coldly, ”Young Master Zhang, I am merely relaying a message from the boss. Young Master Gao’s banquet is about to begin. Are you two not planning to go in?”

Hearing the words ”Young Master Gao’s banquet,” Zhang Xuanfeng finally calmed down a little.

His expression was as dark as water. Seeing that the area was filled with club bodyguards, and considering Chen Fei’s readiness to slap him, he didn’t dare act as arrogantly as before. With a sullen face, he could only point at Chen Fei and say through gritted teeth, ”You punk, just you wait!”

”Oh, I’ll be waiting,” Chen Fei replied flatly, not in the least bit concerned.

”You... you... Hmph!” Seeing how little regard Chen Fei had for him, Young Master Zhang, despite his face being contorted with rage, just gave a cold snort and walked away, pulling the pale-faced Jie Meiling with him.

”Let’s go, Shi Yin. Let’s head inside,” Chen Fei said with a slight smile, turning to Guan Shiyin, who was standing beside him in a daze.

”You... you rascal. His dad is the director of the Health Bureau, and he has shares in the Luxury Club. Aren’t you afraid he’ll retaliate?” Hearing Chen Fei’s voice, Guan Shiyin finally snapped out of it and asked with concern.

From her perspective, Chen Fei’s actions today had been satisfying, but perhaps a bit too impulsive. That was the son of the city’s Health Bureau director, a man who drove a Ferrari worth over three million!

”Afraid of what? That’s his dad, not him. If he dares to come over and run his mouth again, I guarantee I’ll slap him so hard he’ll start questioning his existence! Heh heh heh!” Chen Fei said with a nonchalant expression, clowning around with a straight face. Are you kidding me? At his current level, why would he need to be wary of a mere health bureau director? It was simply that he ’couldn’t be bothered’ to stoop to their level.

”Ugh, my head hurts so much,” Guan Shiyin said, feeling like she wanted to cry but couldn’t. She had invited Chen Fei today, hoping to use his status in Northern Mountain City to quickly integrate into high society. She never expected that before they had even properly arrived, she’d already offended the station’s top hostess and the son of the city’s Health Bureau director. My life... why is it so hard? Ugh, I’m too exhausted for this. I just want to cry.

* * *

”Young... Young Master Zhang, what do we do now? It looked like a lot of guests saw what happened. If word gets out... are we really going to let that little bitch and that pretty boy get away with this!?” Jie Meiling asked with a venomous expression as they entered the Luxury Club’s private elevator.

As the station’s top hostess and widely acknowledged beauty, Jie Meiling hadn’t always been so insecure. But with Guan Shiyin’s arrival, she found that all the burning gazes of admiration that should have been hers were now directed at that newcomer, that cheap woman. This ignited a fire of jealousy within her, making her believe Guan Shiyin had stolen her spotlight. That was why she had been targeting her for no good reason.

Moreover, the man she had intended to show off to everyone tonight, Young Master Zhang, had been publicly humiliated by the pretty boy Guan Shiyin brought with her. That man hadn’t even deigned to look at her, Jie Meiling. How could she not be furious, jealous, and resentful?

”Let them go? I, Zhang Xuanfeng, have never been so humiliated in my entire life! How could I possibly let them go?” Young Master Zhang snapped, his face contorting into a ferocious mask.

Evidently, the fire in his heart had yet to be extinguished.

”But it seems like that pretty boy has some kind of background. Otherwise, how could he have gotten an invitation from the Gao Family?” Jie Meiling deliberately fanned the flames. Of course, she didn’t believe for a second that a little bitch like Guan Shiyin could have obtained an invitation from the Gao Family herself. It must have come from that pretty boy, a fact that made her burn with jealousy, because she didn’t have one!

”Background? What fucking background could he have? Can he compare to me, Zhang Xuanfeng? My dad is the director of the city’s Health Bureau! Besides, they definitely stole that invitation, you hear me? Stole it!” Young Master Zhang spat with furious disdain.

What a joke. What kind of status could that pretty boy possibly have? How could he ever compare to him, Young Master Zhang?

He seemed to have forgotten that just moments ago, Chen Fei had slapped him so hard his ears were ringing, leaving him practically stunned. Now that Chen Fei was gone, his arrogance was back in full force.

”Of course, of course! They must have stolen the invitation. Otherwise, nobodies with their kind of status wouldn’t even be qualified to step through the door.” Seeing Young Master Zhang fly into a rage, Jie Meiling didn’t dare say another word. Instead, she immediately began to fawn over him in a syrupy voice, unabashedly pressing her snake-like waist against his body as her porcelain-white bosom swayed before him.
