Chapter 107: Chapter 31 Wandering Bar_1

The streets of Beta Town are winding and the pedestrians walk with a twist in their step.

Zheng Qing’s eyes sweep over the gradually brightening shop windows on the street, his thoughts fluttering. He always wants to say something to the beauties.

However, the permeating scent of violets seems to be under some magic spell, making his mind a complete mess.

On the other hand, the Xin Fat Man next to him is under no pressure as he keeps asking questions to the Gypsy witch:

”How many students did your witches group dispatch this time?”

”Eight, no, nine.” Elena stretches out her fingers to count: ”Including me, nine people in total.”

”It’s said that you stay in the wizard tower all day and don’t interact with the outside world, so how do you collect daily necessities?”

”We are wizards!” The witch looked at Xin in surprise and added: ”We all know magic.”

”Oh, haha.” Xin Fat Man laughed heartily, his face showing no sign of embarrassment: ”My family is near the Rhein, very close to the Balkan, but you are the only Gypsy witch I have ever encountered... ever since I was little! You know, you Gypsy witches have left a lot of legends in Europa... It is said that there is an elder in your witches group who has lived for more than a thousand years, is that true?”

Elena smilelessly listened to Xin’s question, not committing to a yes or no.

Applauds from Pedestrian Street interrupted Xin Fat Man’s chatter.

Several urchins ride through them with brooms and wooden swords, knocking over a pull-tab can outside a store. Before the shop owner could come out to check, the lady endorsing the can was already cursing:

”This is outrageous!”

”Children these days are way too rude!”

”Don’t they know to help someone up after knocking them down?!”

The sound made the canvas on the pull-tab can tremble.

The urchins turned their heads back to make faces, and in a puff of smoke disappeared at the end of Pedestrian Street.

Xin Fat Man looked enviously at those nifty transport tools, lamenting: ”If only I had a broom back then, I could have left right away after shattering the glass, just like these little guys... Too bad, all my family has is my mom’s broom for beating people.”

Elena jogged a few steps, picked up the fallen pull-tab can, and wiped the dust off the witch’s cloak in the canvas with a handkerchief.

The witch on the canvas retracted her anger, became cheerful again, and attracted business:

”What a polite little girl! Come look in the shop, I’ll ask the boss to give you a discount!”

Elena smiled and shook her head, rejecting the offer.

Zheng Qing, who had been muddled for quite some time on the side, finally found an absurd topic:

”What’s the name of the gathering place again?”

”Wandering Bar!” Xin Fat Man, clueless as usual, reminded him: ”I remember it was you who told me this name! How could you forget so soon?!”

”Those who are noble forget a lot!” Zheng Qing retorted angrily, glancing back at Xin Fat Man.

The fact seemed to have just dawned upon Xin Fat Man. He shrugged and said nothing.

”Is it that one over there?” Elena suddenly chimed in on the side.

Zheng Qing squinted his eyes and looked down the winding streets.

Not far away, some familiar figures were waving at them.

”Should be.” Zheng Qing nodded with some excitement: ”I see Tang Dun.”

”Wandering Bar... What a strange name for a shop.” The Gypsy witch looked thoughtfully at the sign, shaking her head.

”The owner of the shop is a Wandering Wizard, that’s why the name.” Finally finding an appropriate topic, Zheng Qing couldn’t help but show off: ”The owner was mentioned in ”Entering First University”. It is said he is a traditional Palermo wizard, who is inherently disdainful of the aristocracy. When he was younger, he wandered around North Africa, messing around a few pharaoh’s tombs. Later, as he grew older and his passions cooled, he came to Beta Town and opened this shop.”

As they were talking, the group arrived at the entrance of the shop.

Xiao Xiao came over to greet them, having apparently heard Zheng Qing’s explanation. He raised an eyebrow and supplemented:

”This Wandering Wizard is not a proper white wizard. You can’t find his information in the registered Wizard Association. But, if someone is causing you trouble, like a Southeast Asian wizard putting a Drop Head curse on your dog, you can hear about him through some secret channels... So when you are inside the bar, behave, he doesn’t like people discussing his past.”

”You guys know so much!” Elena smiled joyfully: ”I am so lucky to be in the same class as you!”

Zheng Qing reluctantly pulled a smile on his face.

The few girls at the door saw the transfer student and screamed, pulling her into the shop.

Xin Fat Man also couldn’t wait to squeeze through the door.

Zheng Qing lifted his foot to walk in but stopped, disheartened.

”Aren’t you going in?” Xiao Xiao asked curiously.

”Why did you come so early? And why are you hanging out at the door?” Zheng Qing asked back in irritation.

”Actually, you came late.” Xiao Xiao checked his timer and said without expression: ”It’s ten minutes before five in the afternoon, for such activities you shouldn’t arrive just in time. As for why I’m hanging out at the door.”

Watermelon Head looked back somewhat frustrated and looked at the bar behind him: ”It’s too noisy in there.”

”Go in, come on in.” Seeing the two of them talking at the door of the bar, Tang Headmaster came over warmly and dragged them into the bar: ”Everyone is inside, it’s lively in there.”

Zheng Qing looked at Xiao Xiao, who had a frown on his face. A sense of relief welled up in his heart and he couldn’t help but laugh.

The front of the Wandering Bar is small and unremarkable.

But once inside the bar, you could find that it’s another world.

Through the intricate dark corridor, a spacious hall appeared in front of everyone.

Pleasant music and colourful lights enveloped each guest with a glimmering prismatic cloak.

”It’s not that noisy.” Zheng Qing glanced at Xiao Xiao.

”Noise is not merely produced by sound.” Xiao Xiao huffed, pointing to the flickering lights around: ”Color noise is also noise.”

Zheng Qing shrugged, helpless.

Bands of elves rode luminous birds, wandering around the room, serving the guests. The birds held fruit baskets and wine bottles in their claws, and from time to time they cleaned up the rubbish left by the guests.

The room might have been solidified with magic like the ’Expand Spell’, the area of the ceiling seemed slightly disproportioned to the floor.

The huge stage, dozens of tables with different shapes casually placed in the centre. Behind the long stone beer tables on both sides, there were beer barrels and beer kitchens made of massive wood.

Dozens of candles floated randomly above the room, casting a pale blue halo.

The entire bar was shrouded in an atmosphere of vicissitudes and mystery.

This made Zheng Qing, who had entered the bar for the first time, a bit uneasy.

It was now afternoon, and there weren’t many people in the bar, so the noise was not too loud. That’s why Zheng Qing could easily distinguish the voices of his classmates.

”Brother Xin!” Finally finding a little bit of reassurance, Zheng Qing called out to a figure not far away.

Zhang Ji Xin raised his head, and his red face shone like a traffic light.

He cracked a smile and waved his hand vigorously.
