The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 326: Chapter 326: Cheng Yuan Absolutely Has the Right to Kick You Out

Lin Xingyu adopted a very humble posture, fawning over her. ”Ruoxi, your Second Uncle has always believed you’re the most promising of the Lin Family’s younger generation! And now, it’s clear I was right! Back when your grandfather and your First Uncle proposed that marriage alliance, I was against it too. But I was insignificant and my words carried no weight! But things are better now. Your First Uncle has been stripped of all his positions at Huanyu Group and has been expelled from the Lin Family! Now, in the Lin Family, your Second Uncle is the one calling the shots! Ruoxi, I am sincerely inviting you to return to the Lin Family!”

Lin Ruoxi knew Lin Xingyu very well. It was true; he had indeed voted against the marriage alliance plan back then.

However, it was definitely not out of consideration for her. Her Second Uncle was simply making a power play against her First Uncle.

”Second Uncle, you don’t represent the Lin Family! Grandfather was the one who ruthlessly expelled us! Do you think getting us to return is so simple? If the Lin Family is truly sincere about inviting our family back, then have Grandfather do it himself! Until Grandfather apologizes to my family, I, Lin Ruoxi, will absolutely not return to the Lin Family!”

Lin Xingyu knew very well that the Old Master would never lower himself to apologize to Lin Ruoxi’s family.

”Ruoxi, I’m just here to convey the wishes of the entire Lin Family. You have the right to refuse! But even if you’re unwilling to return to the family now, you can’t deny that the blood of the Lin Family flows through your veins, can you?”

Lin Ruoxi sighed. She really couldn’t argue with that.

”Second Uncle, just say what you came here to say. There’s no need to play the sympathy card.”

”Ruoxi, I congratulate you on successfully developing the Lingxi Health Beverage. You are the pride of our Lin Family! In time, you will surely become the Pearl of Dongshan!”

Lin Ruoxi rolled her eyes, speechless. ”Second Uncle, my time is very precious. Can you please get to the point? If there’s nothing else, you’ll have to excuse me!”

Lin Xingyu quickly grabbed her arm and said with a placating smile, ”Right, the point! I’ll get to the point! Ruoxi, my dear, the Lingxi beverage is so profitable. Rather than letting outsiders have it, why not let our Huanya Pharmaceutical handle the distribution? We should keep the good fortune within the family, shouldn’t we?”

Lin Ruoxi was stunned!

’How could Second Uncle be this shameless?’

’He actually has the nerve to make such a request?’

’I’m blushing with secondhand embarrassment for him!’

Lin Ruoxi refused flatly. ”Second Uncle, don’t even think about it. Until Grandfather apologizes to my family, I will not engage in any business dealings with the Lin Family!”

Lin Xingyu had already prepared himself for this, so he wasn’t the least bit discouraged. He began to play the sympathy card.

”Ruoxi, you are a true daughter of the Lin Family. Can you really bear to stand by and watch the Huanyu Group go bankrupt? Can you bear to watch the Lin Family fall to pieces?”

”Why wouldn’t I? My family was already expelled from the Lin Family! We were stripped of all our positions at the Huanyu Group! What does it matter to me whether the Huanyu Group goes bankrupt or not?”

”Ruoxi, are you really that heartless? The Ruoxi I remember is a gentle and kind girl...”

”Stop! I’m not interested in your image of me. I am who I am, and no one else can influence my decisions. If there’s nothing else, Second Uncle, you may leave.”

Lin Xingyu’s brows furrowed. He hadn’t expected Lin Ruoxi to be so unyielding, leaving no room for tact or negotiation.

”Ruoxi, even if you have no feelings left for the Lin Family, you have to think about your father! He is a direct son of the Lin Family. Do you want him to have no roots to return to in his old age? Are you really going to sever ties with the Lin Family completely?”

Lin Ruoxi fell silent.

’It didn’t matter to her. She could just follow Cheng Yuan for the rest of her life and be buried alongside him when the time came.’

’But her father was different. He would eventually have to be buried in the Lin Family’s ancestral tomb.’

Lin Ruoxi was plunged into a deep state of inner turmoil.

...

「Meanwhile.」

Vermilion Bird drove Cheng Yuan to Yuanxi Pharmaceutical and respectfully opened the car door. ”Young Master, after you.”

Cheng Yuan stepped out of the car and said flatly, ”Don’t call me Young Master. We’re not that close.”

Vermilion Bird’s expression stiffened for a moment before they quickly forced a more ingratiating smile. ”You are right to correct me, Mr. Cheng. I am not yet worthy. However, I will work hard to earn the privilege of serving you one day.”

Cheng Yuan raised an eyebrow. ’This Vermilion Bird is interesting.’ His tone softened. ”Just do a good job under Potian, and your future will be boundless.”

”Thank you for your guidance, Mr. Cheng. Mr. Cheng, would it be possible to get your phone number? The War God is very busy, so if you run into any minor issues in the Provincial City, you can command me at any time.”

”Fine. My number is 185xxxxxxxx.”

”Understood. I’ve sent a call to your phone, so you can save my number when you have a moment.”

Cheng Yuan nodded, then headed upstairs, making a beeline for the CEO’s office.

At the office door, he happened to overhear Lin Xingyu’s and Lin Ruoxi’s conversation.

Lin Xingyu had been watching Lin Ruoxi’s expression intently and keenly noticed the shift in her emotions.

Lin Xingyu’s spirits soared. ’The Old Master is brilliant!’

’Just as he predicted, bringing up the Third made Ruoxi’s defenses waver!’

Lin Xingyu decided to strike while the iron was hot. ”Ruoxi, you know our Dongshan tradition. We value the principle of fallen leaves returning to their roots! If the Third can’t be buried in the ancestral tomb, how tragic would that be?”

Lin Ruoxi said stubbornly, ”Second Uncle, I believe that one day, Grandfather will apologize to our family and personally invite us to return to the Lin Family!”

”Ruoxi, you know what the Old Master’s temper is like, don’t you? He’s stubborn and foul-tempered, the type who would rather shatter like jade than remain whole as a clay tile! If you want Grandfather to apologize, you need to give him an honorable way out.”

”What kind of way out?”

”The distribution rights for the Lingxi Health Beverage, of course!”

”Absolutely not! I’ve already signed several distribution contracts. Are you telling me to breach them, Second Uncle?”

”Ruoxi, how could I possibly want to harm you? Huanya Pharmaceutical isn’t asking for the rights for all of Dragon Country, just the distribution rights for the Provincial City!”

Lin Ruoxi was tempted. ’If giving Huanya Pharmaceutical the distribution rights for the Provincial City would really make Grandfather apologize and invite them back to the family...’

’...then it wouldn’t be a loss.’

In truth, Lin Ruoxi was just fighting for a matter of principle; she didn’t truly hate her grandfather.

Just as Lin Ruoxi was about to nod and agree, Cheng Yuan pushed the door open and said coldly, ”Ruoxi, don’t fall for his tricks! You can’t give him the rights!”

Lin Xingyu was about to go insane with anger!

’Where did this little bastard Cheng Yuan pop out from?’

’He’s the absolute bane of the Lin Family!’

’Ever since Ruoxi married him, the Lin Family’s luck has hit rock bottom, and the Huanyu Group has been declining day by day!’

Lin Xingyu’s expression darkened. ”Cheng Yuan, if you want the Lin Family to approve of your marriage to Ruoxi, then stop making trouble! Otherwise, you will never have the Lin Family’s acceptance!”

Cheng Yuan laughed. ”Your Lin Family either sells its granddaughters or schemes against them. Why would I need your approval? That’s ridiculous! People from the Lin Family are not welcome at Yuanxi Pharmaceutical! Please leave. Now.”

”Ruoxi is the CEO of Yuanxi Pharmaceutical. What right does a mooching, live-in son-in-law like you have to kick me out?”

Cheng Yuan just smiled, not even bothering to answer.

Lin Ruoxi stated with a grave expression, ”Second Uncle, Cheng Yuan is not a live-in son-in-law. He is the Chairman of Yuanxi Pharmaceutical, and he owns 60% of the company’s shares. Furthermore, the Lingxi Health Beverage was developed by Cheng Yuan himself! So, he absolutely has the right to kick you out.”
