The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 306: Chapter 306: Lin Xingchen’s Nail

Lin Xingchen’s tone was so confident that Lin Jianan’s spirits soared. He looked at Lin Xingchen, his eyes blazing.

Ever since the complete failure of the Huanya Auction House, he had been somewhat displeased with his eldest son. He never expected that at this critical juncture for Lin Pharmaceutical, with its very survival on the line, only his eldest son would step up.

”Son, if you can truly make Yuanxi Pharmaceutical collapse in an instant and allow Lin Pharmaceutical to dominate Dongshan, I will retire immediately and pass the chairman’s seat to you!”

Lin Xingchen was ecstatic. ”Dad, don’t you worry. I will strictly follow the policies you’ve laid out and carry the Huanyu Group to new heights!”

Lin Jianan nodded, gratified, and asked in a softer tone, ”Son, we’re all family here. Tell us your plan.”

Lin Xingchen said in a low voice, ”Dad, to tell you the truth, Yuanxi Pharmaceutical’s chief pharmacist, Tang Hancheng, is my man. I’ve already obtained the formula for the new Anti-Aging Cream they just developed, and I’ve registered the patent for it in advance. The moment Yuanxi Pharmaceutical unveils their new product at the press conference, I’ll sue them into bankruptcy!”

The members of the Lin Family were overjoyed.

”Big Brother is a badass! You actually got Yuanxi Pharmaceutical’s formula! They’re so screwed!”

”It’s a good thing Eldest Uncle is on our side. If he were our opponent, it’d be terrifying. We wouldn’t even know what hit us!”

”DAMN, that’s a vicious move! Ruoxi is going to cough up blood when she finds out!”

Amid the chorus of praise, Lin Jianan asked, a little puzzled, ”Son, when did this Tang Hancheng become our man? Is he reliable?”

Lin Xingchen answered honestly, ”Tang Hancheng was a disadvantaged student I sponsored over a decade ago. When he was about to graduate from college, he said he wanted to work for our Lin Pharmaceutical. I turned him down and told him to join Bauhinia Pharmaceutical instead. I felt that one day, Lin Pharmaceutical and Bauhinia Pharmaceutical would inevitably clash. When that day came, Tang Hancheng might prove to be a secret weapon. To be honest, he was just a piece I had in reserve, a long shot. I never thought he’d be so successful and actually become their chief pharmacist! You could say we just lucked into this win.”

Everyone burst out laughing.

”When Eldest Uncle’s luck turns, nothing can stop it!”

”It looks like the God of Fortune is on the Lin Family’s side. For Ruoxi to dare and oppose the Lin Family... she’s destined to get her head bashed in!”

...

All the members of the Lin Family thought this was just a stroke of good luck.

Only Lin Jianan gave Lin Xingchen a long, hard look. ’He who fails to plan for the future will find trouble at his doorstep.’

’This isn’t luck. This is a brilliant mind and extraordinary foresight!’

”Son, I have underestimated you all this time! I never imagined your strategic vision was so forward-thinking! To plant a mole inside a competitor over a decade ago... I am not your equal! It seems I can finally rest easy handing the Huanyu Group over to you. Go on and do what you must, with boldness and confidence. The entire Lin Family will support you with everything we have!”

”Dad, don’t worry! This time, I’ll make Ruoxi come crawling back, begging for your forgiveness!”

=====

Upon hearing that Cheng Yuan had finally arrived in the Provincial City, Lin Ruoxi was ecstatic. She carefully applied her makeup, then turned to Shen Youchu and asked, ”Youchu, how do I look?”

”Sis, you’ve already asked eight times! You’re the number one beauty in Dongshan even without makeup. Right now, your beauty transcends the galaxy. Even I’m getting a little crush on you! Can you please stop asking?”

Lin Ruoxi gave an embarrassed laugh. She really was overdoing it a bit.

’When did I start caring so much about Cheng Yuan’s opinion without even realizing it?’

”Youchu, your brother will be here any minute. Can you watch over the venue for me? I’m going to go pick him up.”

Shen Youchu shook her head without hesitation. ”Before he left, my brother told me to protect you and not leave your side for a single moment! I’ll go with you to pick him up, Sis.”

”All right, then.”

Lin Ruoxi grabbed a car from Bauhinia Pharmaceutical and headed straight for the high-speed rail station.

Even though it had only been a few days, Cheng Yuan still felt a thrill of excitement when he saw Lin Ruoxi.

’It was a strange feeling. He and Lin Ruoxi weren’t related by blood, but for some reason, he felt an inexplicable closeness to her. He’d even feel a little anxious if a single day went by without seeing her.’

Cheng Yuan rushed forward, swept Lin Ruoxi up in a bear hug, and spun her around wildly.

Breathing in the familiar fragrance of Lin Ruoxi’s hair, Cheng Yuan felt a deep sense of satisfaction and peace.

”Ruoxi, I missed you like crazy!”

Lin Ruoxi had been nursing a bellyful of complaints. That big jerk Cheng Yuan often forgot to call, and he’d be gone for five or six days at a time.

But feeling the depth of Cheng Yuan’s love and longing, all her little resentments evaporated. She hugged his neck tightly and whispered in his ear, ”Hubby, I missed you so much, too.”

Shen Youchu, standing to the side, couldn’t watch anymore. ”Hey, mind your surroundings, you two! There’s a kid here! And a single one, at that! You can’t just abuse us single people like this!”

Lin Ruoxi, flushed with embarrassment, pushed Cheng Yuan away. ”Quick, put me down. Youchu’s making fun of us.”

Cheng Yuan sheepishly put Lin Ruoxi down and shot Shen Youchu a look of mock annoyance. ”Youchu, have you been keeping up with your Cultivation these past few days? And your studies?”

”Sis got me a private tutor, so I haven’t fallen behind on my studies. It’s my Cultivation that’s slow. Without you around, Brother, my progress is indescribably slow. It’s like a snail’s pace.”

Cheng Yuan grinned and took out two Essence Enhancing Pills, handing them to Shen Youchu. ”Youchu, these are Qi Enhancement Pills. A little reward for your hard work.”

Shen Youchu didn’t understand how precious Three Patterns Essence Enhancement Pills were. She casually tossed them into her mouth. Then, the color drained from her face.

Oh my God!

’How could these two little pills contain such a terrifying amount of energy?’

’In a single instant, all the Meridians in her body were stretched to their limits!’

Shen Youchu hastily began Cultivating, desperately trying to refine the Medicinal Power. She no longer had the time to be a third wheel.

”Ruoxi, has work been going smoothly? Did you run into any trouble?”

When the conversation turned to work, Lin Ruoxi grew excited. Like a little girl eager for praise from an elder, she boasted, ”Everything at work is going great! No trouble at all! Our research team is amazing. Under the leadership of Dr. Tang, we successfully developed the Anti-Aging Cream! It can preserve a young woman’s youth and make a middle-aged woman look more than five years younger! The Anti-Aging Cream is going to be a blockbuster! I’m planning to make it the star of today’s press conference!”

Cheng Yuan raised an eyebrow slightly. ’Bauhinia Pharmaceutical’s research team is pretty capable, to develop such an effective cream,’ he thought. ’Looks like I won’t have to bring out my Anti-Aging Pills after all.’

”Ruoxi, do you have the Anti-Aging Cream with you? Can I see it?”

”Of course.”

Lin Ruoxi took out a jar of Anti-Aging Cream and handed it to Cheng Yuan.

Cheng Yuan opened the jar and carefully analyzed the ingredients. Finally, he nodded. ’The ingredients in this Anti-Aging Cream are good. No hormones, just various traditional medicinal herbs.’

”This Anti-Aging Cream is good. Has the patent been registered yet?”

”I’ve already had my assistant go register the patent. It should be approved soon, right?”
