The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 310: Chapter 310: The Well You Dug Is Lingxi

A slight smile touched Lin Ruoxi’s lips. ”When did I ever say we were going to sell the Rejuvenation Pills directly? Wouldn’t that be a colossal waste? What kind of results would we see if we infused the Rejuvenation Pill into a health drink?”

The entire laboratory instantly erupted!

All the researchers’ faces were flushed red with excitement!

”Holy shit! A second ago, I thought Professor Yu was a marketing genius! Turns out the real marketing genius is President Lin! What kind of mind does she have? If we infuse the Rejuvenation Pill into a health drink, the market potential is just massive!”

”President Lin’s idea is brilliant! Health drinks on the market right now don’t actually do anything to strengthen your body. As long as our health drink has even a tiny bit of a body-strengthening effect, it’ll blow up! Yuanxi will capture at least half of Dongshan’s market share! Yuanxi Pharmaceutical’s market value will increase at least tenfold!”

Yu Dawei looked at Lin Ruoxi with a face full of admiration. ”President Lin, I’m convinced. I’m truly convinced! Your marketing strategy will absolutely make Yuanxi Pharmaceutical the number one pharmaceutical juggernaut in Dongshan!”

Lin Ruoxi smiled faintly. ”Professor Yu, are you confident you can develop a new product within two hours now?”

”President Lin, please don’t tease me. If we still can’t develop a new product with this, then this bunch of us might as well stop wasting air!”

After speaking, Yu Dawei turned to his subordinates and shouted, ”Alright, everyone, let’s get to work! Find the optimal ratio immediately! We need it to be effective, and we need to maximize production capacity!”

”Yes, sir!”

The group rushed straight to the health drink R&D area.

Here, there were more than ten vats, all filled to the brim with health drinks.

”President Lin, these are all semi-finished health drink prototypes we use for R&D. Each one has a different formula.”

”Which one is the more mass-market health drink? What’s its price?”

Yu Dawei raised his hand and pointed to a vat, saying in a low voice, ”President Lin, this is the basic model, the Bauhinia Health Drink. It’s priced at four yuan.”

Lin Ruoxi nodded and asked gently, ”How many tons is this vat? How many cans can it produce?”

Yu Dawei answered without a moment’s hesitation, ”One can is 300 milliliters, and this vat holds thirty tons. In total, we can fill one hundred thousand cans.”

’One hundred thousand cans?’

Lin Ruoxi gave a slight nod, indicating she understood.

Lin Ruoxi silently calculated. ’The production cost for one can of the basic health drink is less than one yuan. Let’s just round it up to one. Add another yuan for other production expenses.’

’A net profit of two yuan per can.’

’That’s a net profit of two hundred thousand yuan per vat.’

Lin Ruoxi suddenly thought of something, turning to Cheng Yuan to ask, ”Honey, what’s the cost of one Rejuvenation Pill?”

Cheng Yuan did a quick calculation and said gently, ”Around one million yuan.”

One million?

The researchers were stunned!

’How can such a tiny Elixir be so expensive?’

Lin Ruoxi couldn’t help but frown. ”The cost of a Rejuvenation Pill is too high. It looks like this health drink business isn’t viable!”

The researchers quickly understood why, shaking their heads with bitter smiles. They thought Yuanxi was about to take off, but it turned out to be an illusion, all for nothing.

Cheng Yuan was taken aback. ”Why?”

”Honey, this vat is thirty tons. We’d need to use at least one whole Rejuvenation Pill, right? The cost of the pill alone is one million, but the profit is only two hundred thousand. This business is impossible.”

Cheng Yuan smiled faintly. ”Ruoxi, you underestimate my Rejuvenation Pill. For a vat this size, a tenth of a pill is more than enough.”

As he spoke, Cheng Yuan broke off a small piece from the Rejuvenation Pill and tossed it into the vat.

In just an instant, the Rejuvenation Pill dissolved into the health drink. Its Medicinal Power immediately radiated outwards, spreading to every corner of the vat.

’Is a tenth really enough?’

’If that’s the case, then the costs are under control. We can actually make money from this!’

”Honey, are you sure a tenth of a Rejuvenation Pill is enough for thirty tons of the health drink?”

”We’ll know once we try. In fact, this might still be too much.”

No one refuted Cheng Yuan’s words. After all, you can’t have a say without seeing the results for yourself.

Yu Dawei personally fetched some disposable paper cups and ladled a cup for everyone.

GULP. They all drained their cups in one go.

Then, everyone’s eyes went wide, their faces filled with disbelief!

”My God! Are the effects this strong? I feel like my body is overflowing with strength!”

”Hey, Old Zhou, the wrinkles on your face are fading!”

”Old Yang, the scar on your arm is gone!”

”Xiaoqing, your complexion is amazing! You look like you’re back in college!”

...

Lin Ruoxi and Yu Dawei, who had smelled the Rejuvenation Pill before, were in an even better position to judge!

Yu Dawei said with an excited expression, ”This Medicinal Power is even greater than I imagined! It’s at least twice as strong as the effect from just smelling it! We can cut the amount of the Rejuvenation Pill in half again!”

Lin Ruoxi nodded slightly. ”I feel the same way. This Medicinal Power has exceeded my expectations! I’m truly and pleasantly surprised!”

Hearing this, everyone trembled with excitement!

If the amount of the Rejuvenation Pill could be halved again, the cost would be drastically reduced. The profits would be substantial—you could even call them exorbitant!

Cheng Yuan smiled faintly. ”There’s no need to reduce the amount of the Rejuvenation Pill. When we’re just launching, the stronger the effect, the better! We can raise the price a bit. The original price was four yuan; we can price it at ten now. Even an average worker can afford ten yuan.”

Everyone nodded their heads like chickens pecking at grain.

”Chairman Cheng has a point. We can raise the price! As long as we don’t reduce the amount of the Rejuvenation Pill, with such powerful effects—effects that are practically visible to the naked eye—it will definitely be an instant hit!”

”President Lin, I suggest we have the design department create new packaging immediately!”

”President Lin, we need you to decide on a name for the new drink.”

Lin Ruoxi looked at Cheng Yuan with a questioning gaze. ”Honey, what do you think we should name the new drink? How about ’Yuanxi Health Drink’?”

Cheng Yuan was touched that Lin Ruoxi valued his opinion so much, but he rejected her suggestion.

”Ruoxi, I don’t think Yuanxi is quite right. Lingxi would be better! We can use ’Lingxi’ as a marketing gimmick. We’ll say we use Lingxi water, and that drinking it can prolong life, strengthen the body, and enhance beauty.”

Lingxi?

After repeating the name a few times, everyone cheered in approval!

One of the researchers started shamelessly kissing up.

”Chairman Cheng really knows how to capture people’s imaginations. Forget about other people, even I hear the name ’Lingxi’ and immediately want to taste it to see what makes it different from ordinary water!”

Yu Dawei said hesitantly, ”Chairman Cheng, Lingxi is indeed a great gimmick, but where are we going to find a ’Lingxi’? What if someone calls us out and says Yuanxi Pharmaceutical doesn’t actually have a ’Lingxi’?”

Cheng Yuan gave Yu Dawei an appreciative look. ’He always thinks of things others don’t. He’s worth cultivating. It’s almost a waste to have him just doing research.’

”Professor Yu, does the Yuanxi Pharmaceutical factory complex have a well?”

”We drilled a deep-water well three months ago.”

Cheng Yuan grinned. ”Well, there you have it. From this day forward, that deep-water well you drilled is now the Lingxi!”
