The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 312: Chapter 312: This Is Our New Product

At two o’clock sharp, the press conference officially began.

Lin Ruoxi led Cheng Yuan onto the stage, and they took their seats.

At Cheng Yuan’s insistence, Lin Ruoxi had not prepared a name card for him, nor did she introduce him.

The reporters below started snapping away, the camera flashes flickering wildly, making Cheng Yuan a little uncomfortable.

Lin Ruoxi, long used to this, cleared her throat naturally.

”Welcome, friends from the pharmaceutical industry! Welcome, friends from the media! Thank you all for taking time out of your busy schedules to attend this press conference! I hereby announce that starting today, Bauhinia Pharmaceutical will be renamed Yuanxi Pharmaceutical! Friends from the media, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask.”

Cheng Yuan watched the eloquent Lin Ruoxi with a look of admiration.

His wife truly was the Pearl of Luocheng. Her every move exuded confidence and charm.

Reporters in the front rows immediately raised their hands.

Lin Ruoxi had already received some intel and knew that several reporters had been bought by the Huanyu Group. She deliberately called on one of them.

”Reporter Tao, what is your question?”

The reporter she called on was Tao Chunping, and she immediately went on the attack.

”President Lin, I heard your new product was involved in plagiarism and was urgently pulled. Does that mean you won’t be announcing a new product at today’s press conference?”

In the back, Lin Xingchen stared intently at Lin Ruoxi, wondering how she would respond.

Lin Ruoxi subconsciously glanced at Cheng Yuan. ’Today was all thanks to him. If Cheng Yuan hadn’t whipped up a health beverage at the last minute, this press conference would have been a complete joke!’

’And Yuanxi Pharmaceutical’s public credibility would have plummeted to freezing point!’

’It might have even faced the risk of bankruptcy!’

Lin Ruoxi said gravely, ”I don’t know where you got your information, but I can tell you unequivocally that it’s wrong. Our new product involves no plagiarism whatsoever! It will be released today as planned! Reporter Tao, please sit down. Reporter Lin, please ask your question.”

Tao Chunping sat down, looking reluctant.

The man she had called on, Lin Hu, stood up with an excited look on his face. ”Just an hour ago, Huanya Pharmaceutical released a new product called Anti-Aging Cream. It has already been verified and endorsed by more than ten Divine Doctors, and it possesses beautifying and anti-aging properties. The moment it was released, Anti-Aging Cream became an instant hit. Huanya Pharmaceutical’s market value shot up by 30% in a flash, surpassing Yuanxi Pharmaceutical to become the number one pharmaceutical company in Dongshan! I wonder what President Lin’s thoughts are on this?”

Lin Ruoxi’s expression instantly darkened. ’The Lin Family has stooped pretty low this time.’

’If this were a fair fight, she would have no regrets even if she lost. But for the Lin Family to use such a dirty trick... it’s just shameless!’

’Thankfully, she had Cheng Yuan!’

’Otherwise, the Lin Family would have surely cast her into an abyss from which she could never recover!’

Lin Ruoxi suppressed her anger and declared gravely, ”I have no comment on the Huanyu Group’s new product, nor do I see the need to! Because their new product and ours are completely incomparable! Once our new product is released, it will easily crush the Anti-Aging Cream! Yuanxi is and always has been the true number one pharmaceutical company in Dongshan!”

WHOOSH!

The entire hall erupted in an instant!

Everyone was stunned!

The reporters were well-informed; many had already received inside information that Yuanxi Pharmaceutical’s new product formula had been leaked.

And Huanya Pharmaceutical’s new Anti-Aging Cream was very likely that same product.

The reporters couldn’t understand why President Lin was so confident.

Lin Xingchen was also baffled. ’Why is Ruoxi so confident?’

’Shouldn’t she be a complete wreck right now, like an ant on a hot pan?’

With a THUD, another plant arranged by Lin Xingchen stood up and said in a low voice, ”President Lin, aren’t you a little too confident? The Anti-Aging Cream was hailed by more than ten Divine Doctors as the best medical product of the year! How can you speak of it so dismissively? Is your new product really that amazing? Then hurry up and show it to us so we can see for ourselves!”

Lin Ruoxi wasn’t flustered at all. She said gravely, ”The new product has already been brought out! It’s right here on the table on stage!”

The reporters quickly aimed their cameras at the table on stage, only to look on in utter confusion. On the table, aside from the name cards, there were only some drinks. They couldn’t see a new product at all!

Lin Xingchen was also dumbfounded. ’Has my dear niece lost her mind from anger? Is she starting to spout nonsense? Where is the new product on that table?’

Amid everyone’s confused gazes, Lin Ruoxi picked up the drink in front of her and raised it high.

”This is Yuanxi Pharmaceutical’s new product—the Lingxi Health Beverage!”

Huh?

All the reporters were stunned!

The friends from the pharmaceutical industry were also stunned!

Everyone stared at Lin Ruoxi, utterly bewildered!

’Did President Lin take the wrong medicine or something?’

’Why is she spouting nonsense at a press conference?’

’How does a health beverage count as a new product?’

’Every major pharmaceutical company has a health beverage!’

Lin Xingchen rolled his eyes, speechless. He felt a little like his efforts had been wasted.

He had wracked his brains and made extensive preparations just to target Lin Ruoxi.

And this was all she had?

’Using a run-of-the-mill health beverage as a new product?’

’This has to be a joke!’

’Only Ruoxi could come up with something like this!’

’It seems Ruoxi has run out of tricks. If he had known this would happen, he wouldn’t have needed to contact so many media friends. He could have saved the expense.’

After their brief moment of bewilderment, the reporters began to bombard Lin Ruoxi with questions!

”President Lin, are you seriously trying to counter Huanya Pharmaceutical’s Anti-Aging Cream with a health beverage? Are you joking? Everyone knows health beverages are just a gimmick. They have no real medicinal value. But the Anti-Aging Cream has proven medicinal value. The two can’t even be compared!”

”President Lin, you were talking such a big game just now. I really thought Yuanxi had some earth-shattering new product. Turns out you were just grandstanding! It’s true that some products are insignificant compared to others! But it’s not the Anti-Aging Cream that’s insignificant—it’s your Lingxi beverage! It’s not even worthy of shining the Anti-Aging Cream’s shoes!”

”President Lin, you’ve gone too far! Passing off a health beverage as a new product? Are you trying to make a fool out of us? This is irresponsible to Yuanxi! It’s irresponsible to the entire pharmaceutical industry!”

...

Facing the barrage of questions, Lin Ruoxi remained calm. She gently pressed her hands downward, her indifferent gaze sweeping across the room.

Lin Ruoxi’s presence was so commanding that even though half the reporters in the room had been bought by Lin Xingchen, they gradually fell silent.

Lin Ruoxi looked at Tao Chunping, who had been the most aggressive, with a faint smile. ”Reporter Tao, I believe you just said that health beverages are just a gimmick with no real medicinal value?”

Tao Chunping stared back at Lin Ruoxi defiantly. ”Yes, I said that. Does President Lin have an objection?”

Lin Ruoxi’s tone was calm, yet filled with power!

”Reporter Tao, you are absolutely right. All health beverages currently on the market have no medicinal value! Our Lingxi Health Beverage, however, is the first and only health beverage in the history of health medicine to have actual medicinal value! It is a revolutionary, era-defining product! Compared to the Lingxi Health Beverage, the Anti-Aging Cream is not even worth mentioning!”
