The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 318: Chapter 318: A Virtuous Wife

Wang Feng had only posted that online as a joke, so he was shocked when Yuanxi Pharmaceutical actually contacted him with a sincere offer to be their spokesperson!

Wang Feng agreed immediately.

Of course, Lin Ruoxi had no intention of letting Wang Feng work for free. Everything was handled according to his standard celebrity rate.

At 9:30 PM, the Nasdaq opened on time.

Lin Ruoxi and all the senior executives of the Lin Group were gathered in the conference room.

A large screen in the room displayed Yuanxi Pharmaceutical’s data.

Evidently, many financial institutions had received the latest information about Yuanxi Pharmaceutical and were brimming with confidence in the company!

Yuanxi Pharmaceutical’s stock price immediately shot up!

More than ten major players were scrambling to buy in!

Countless retail investors followed suit!

Lin Ruoxi and the shareholders were flushed with excitement!

One hour!

In just one short hour, Yuanxi Pharmaceutical’s stock price had surged by 20%!

This was insane!

Unlike the A-share market, Nasdaq has a circuit-breaker system but no daily price limits. Yuanxi Pharmaceutical’s stock price soared as if strapped to a rocket!

Cheng Yuan glanced at his watch, a little annoyed. It was already 10:30 PM, and his wife was still up.

CRASH! Cheng Yuan threw open the doors to the conference room.

The shareholders quickly stood up to greet Cheng Yuan. It was obvious they all knew that the true hero behind Yuanxi Pharmaceutical’s success was Chairman Cheng! It was Chairman Cheng who had developed the Lingxi Health Beverage!

Chairman Cheng was their big boss, and also their God of Wealth!

”Good evening, Chairman Cheng!”

”Chairman Cheng, you’re here?”

Lin Ruoxi’s face was alight with joy. ”Cheng Yuan, in just one hour, our stock price has surged 20%! I wonder if Yuanxi Pharmaceutical can break the record of a 76% surge in a single day?”

Cheng Yuan rolled his eyes and chided her, ”Ruoxi, there will always be more money to be made. You can’t earn it all in one day. You need to balance your work and personal life instead of neglecting one for the other.”

How sharp was Lin Ruoxi? She understood his intentions in an instant. She giggled. ”Chairman Cheng’s criticism is spot on. I’ll clock out right now. Work is important, but family is more important!”

The shareholders all let out good-natured laughs, looking at Cheng Yuan with envy. ’Chairman Cheng is so lucky to have found such a beautiful wife!’

’If Lin Ruoxi were their wife, they’d probably be even more impatient than Chairman Cheng.’

Lin Ruoxi, flustered by their laughter, shot the shareholders an annoyed glare.

”Everyone, let’s call it a night! Chairman Cheng has spoken. We need to balance our work and personal lives!”

With that, Lin Ruoxi hooked her arm through Cheng Yuan’s and made a hasty retreat.

Yuanxi Pharmaceutical had an apartment building for its senior executives.

As the president of Yuanxi Pharmaceutical, Lin Ruoxi had the best apartment—a three-bedroom, one-living-room unit with incredibly luxurious decor.

After they entered, Lin Ruoxi acted like a doting wife, naturally fetching Cheng Yuan’s slippers, helping him out of his coat, and hanging it up.

’When had Cheng Yuan ever received this kind of treatment?’

He was so flustered he didn’t know how to react, standing there like a wooden doll as Lin Ruoxi fussed over him.

Lin Ruoxi led him to the living room sofa and sat him down, saying softly, ”Honey, wait here. I’ll go warm up some water for you to wash your feet.”

Cheng Yuan wasn’t quite used to this VIP treatment. He laughed awkwardly. ”Ruoxi, I can get the water myself.”

Lin Ruoxi shook her head stubbornly.

”Honey, I’m your wife. It’s perfectly normal for me to warm up some water for your feet! Besides, you’re the hero of the hour! If it weren’t for you, Yuanxi Pharmaceutical might have been facing bankruptcy!”

Soon, Lin Ruoxi returned with the hot water and placed the basin in front of Cheng Yuan.

Lin Ruoxi knelt before him, tested the temperature with her hand, and said gently, ”Honey, the water is just right. Go ahead and put your feet in.”

Cheng Yuan quickly placed his feet into the basin.

Cheng Yuan had intended to wash his own feet, but to his surprise, Lin Ruoxi didn’t hesitate for a second. She reached right into the water and took hold of his foot.

Cheng Yuan froze as if he’d been electrocuted.

’Oh my god!’

’His wife was going to wash his feet?’

’What kind of treatment was this??’

Lin Ruoxi’s hands were so delicate and fair that he could clearly see the faint blue veins beneath her skin. Her long, slender fingers were as beautiful as a work of art!

Cheng Yuan couldn’t bear to have such beautiful hands wash his feet, so he quickly grabbed Lin Ruoxi’s wrist.

”Ruoxi, I appreciate the thought, but you really don’t have to do this.”

Lin Ruoxi stubbornly shook her head. ”Honey, my mom used to wash my dad’s feet all the time. Back then, I always thought she was being too subservient, that there was no need for it! But now I understand. It wasn’t subservience; it was her love for my dad, her respect for the head of the household! Just let me do this!”

Lin Ruoxi’s tone was calm, but it held an undeniable resolve, tinged with deep affection.

This made it impossible for Cheng Yuan to refuse. He could only let go of her hand and allow her to wash his feet.

Lin Ruoxi’s technique was clumsy, but to Cheng Yuan, it felt like he was receiving service fit for an emperor!

He was in absolute bliss!

Lin Ruoxi was just too beautiful!

Even in her casual home clothes, her beauty couldn’t be hidden!

’Having his feet washed by the one and only Pearl of Luocheng... wasn’t that every man’s dream?’

Cheng Yuan was enjoying Lin Ruoxi’s service, but he also felt protective of her. He didn’t let her wash for long. After less than a minute, he said gently, ”That’s enough, Ruoxi. Really, that’s enough.”

This time, Lin Ruoxi didn’t object. She lifted his large foot onto her lap and carefully dried it with a towel.

Lin Ruoxi was so focused, exuding an incredible charm!

Cheng Yuan stared, captivated. ’What did I ever do to deserve this?’

’How did I find such a beautiful and devoted wife?’

Soon, Lin Ruoxi finished drying his feet and carried the basin into the bathroom.

Lin Ruoxi took a quick shower, wrapped herself in a bath towel, and walked out of the bathroom with a yawn. ’Today was exhausting. I need to get some rest!’

Cheng Yuan had been waiting by the bathroom door. The moment Lin Ruoxi stepped out, he launched his surprise attack! He swept her into his arms and kissed her deeply!

’It’s been a few days. My wife is still so fragrant, so soft!’

Cheng Yuan kissed her until she was breathless!

But just kissing was no longer enough for Cheng Yuan. He swept Lin Ruoxi up into his arms and strode toward the bedroom!

Lin Ruoxi was startled and let out a cry of surprise, but she didn’t struggle.

Lin Ruoxi was already very clear about her own heart. She had fallen in love with Cheng Yuan, and she wanted to become a true husband and wife with him!
