The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 309: Chapter 309: New Product

The researchers furiously cursed Tang Hancheng and the two other traitors.

”I can’t believe Yu Yongli and Zhang Qi would sell us out like that. They always seemed so honest. You really can’t judge a book by its cover!”

”Damn you, Tang Hancheng! He’s ruined Yuanxi Pharmaceutical! And he’s cost us our jobs! I just took out a mortgage on a new house! What am I going to do?”

”I could kill Tang Hancheng! My kid just started college, and my wife is sick in the hospital. We need money for everything! I can’t lose this job!”

...

Lin Ruoxi said in a solemn voice, ”Everyone, rest assured. As long as Cheng Yuan and I are here, Yuanxi will be all right, and none of you will lose your jobs! In fact, your benefits and compensation will be greatly improved!”

The crowd was greatly relieved, looking at Lin Ruoxi with hopeful expectation.

”President Lin, do you have a plan? Have you been secretly developing another product on the side?”

Lin Ruoxi gently shook her head. ”I’m not an Immortal. I couldn’t have predicted Tang Hancheng’s betrayal. My plan is to develop a new product that surpasses the Anti-Aging Cream before the press conference.”

Huh?

All the researchers were completely dumbfounded, staring blankly at Lin Ruoxi.

’Has President Lin been driven mad by anger?’

It took five years to develop the Anti-Aging Cream!

And now, the press conference was less than two hours away.

’And President Lin plans to develop a new product in two hours?’

’Is this a joke??’

However, Lin Ruoxi had just dealt with Tang Hancheng and the two moles with an iron fist. So, even though they had no confidence in her plan, they didn’t dare voice their doubts. Their eyes just flickered nervously.

Lin Ruoxi asked with a smile, ”What? None of you believe me?”

The deputy head of the research group and second-best pharmacist, Yu Dawei, mustered his courage. ”President Lin, to develop a new product, we first need to formally establish the project, then go through countless, repetitive experiments. Forget two hours—we couldn’t even guarantee success in two years.”

Lin Ruoxi handed the Rejuvenation Pill to Yu Dawei and said calmly, ”Leader Yu, why don’t you smell this first before you share your opinion.”

Yu Dawei instinctively took the Rejuvenation Pill and sniffed it. An incredibly refreshing fragrance filled his lungs and circulated through his bloodstream, reaching every part of his body.

Yu Dawei felt his body become incredibly light, as if he were back in his college days, brimming with vitality!

As a pharmaceutical expert, Yu Dawei instantly knew: this pill was a Divine Medicine, the likes of which he had never seen before!

It could strengthen the body, improve health, and even extend one’s lifespan!

Yu Dawei was shocked, but the researchers standing next to him were even more stunned.

”Professor Yu, y-your face!”

Yu Dawei quickly grabbed a mirror and looked at his reflection. What he saw shocked him beyond belief.

This!

’Is that really my face in the mirror?’

’I look so much younger!’

He looked a good seven or eight years younger!

Even the crow’s feet at the corners of his eyes had faded!

Yu Dawei looked at Lin Ruoxi, ecstatic. ”President Lin, you’ve been keeping this a huge secret! To think you secretly developed such a Divine Medicine! With this, we can absolutely crush the Anti-Aging Cream! What is this Divine Medicine called? What are its effects? And what’s its production capacity?”

Lin Ruoxi only knew the name was Rejuvenation Pill. Unsure about the production capacity, she instinctively turned to look at Cheng Yuan.

Cheng Yuan said calmly, ”This is the Rejuvenation Pill. It strengthens the body, extends life, and has beautifying effects. But those are all just side effects. Its most important function is that it can sustain life. No matter how grave the injury or how severe the illness, it can extend a person’s life by at least one month. Producing the Rejuvenation Pill requires extremely rare medicinal ingredients, so current production is quite low—we can probably make about one hundred per month.”

If Cheng Yuan focused all his effort on crafting Rejuvenation Pills, he could easily make a thousand a month.

However, Cheng Yuan’s current priority was his own Cultivation. Crafting Essence Enhancing Pills and Essence Pills was what really mattered.

The Rejuvenation Pills were just something he made on the side with leftover ingredients.

’It can sustain life, too??’

All the researchers trembled with excitement.

’This is way too incredible, isn’t it?’

’But a production capacity of only one hundred a month?’

’That’s really low. It’s not nearly enough to satisfy the huge market in Dongshan!’

A sharp-minded researcher spoke up. ”Chairman Cheng, you mentioned that producing the Rejuvenation Pill requires very rare ingredients, which is why the capacity is low. What if, through our research and experiments, we were to replace them with less expensive ingredients that have similar medicinal properties? Could we scale up production then?”

Cheng Yuan gave the young man an appreciative look. ”That’s a good idea, but unfortunately, it’s not that simple. This is an Elixir, not a conventional drug that you’re familiar with. It has to be crafted by an Alchemist. And at present, besides myself, I’ve yet to meet another Alchemist.”

’Chairman Cheng is an Alchemist?’

A wave of profound respect for Cheng Yuan swept over the researchers.

As pharmaceutical researchers, they had of course heard of the title ”Alchemist.”

They knew very well that to become an Alchemist, one had to be a top-tier Divine Doctor and also possess immense Spiritual Power.

The researchers, filled with profound respect, bowed deeply to Cheng Yuan.

”I never imagined Chairman Cheng was a legendary Alchemist! Under his leadership, Yuanxi Pharmaceutical is sure to take flight!”

”It’s a shame we can’t help Chairman Cheng. If we could also perform Alchemy, we could increase the production of the Rejuvenation Pills.”

”Chairman Cheng is so brilliant... I can’t help but feel useless in comparison!”

Yu Dawei had a flash of inspiration. ”Don’t be discouraged, everyone! The production capacity for the Rejuvenation Pill might be a bit low, but we can use a scarcity marketing strategy! We’ll set the price incredibly high! Given the Rejuvenation Pill’s Medicinal Power, I’m sure plenty of wealthy individuals nearing the end of their lives will be very interested!”

Lin Ruoxi smiled faintly. ”Professor Yu, I never realized you were a marketing prodigy wasting your talents in the research department. I think you should report to the marketing department tomorrow. I’ll make you the deputy director.”

Though inwardly pleased by Lin Ruoxi’s praise, Yu Dawei remained humble on the surface, waving his hands dismissively. ”President Lin, please don’t make fun of me. I’m sure you already thought of anything I could come up with. Had you already decided on a scarcity marketing strategy?”

Lin Ruoxi and Cheng Yuan exchanged a smile, then she grinned and said, ”You’re wrong. The strategy Chairman Cheng and I have decided on isn’t scarcity marketing. We’re going for volume, targeting the general public! Our market is all of Dongshan, and eventually, the entire Dragon Country! I believe that in the near future, our product will go international and conquer the world!”

’All of Dongshan?’

’The entire Dragon Country?’

’Conquer the world?’

Yu Dawei was dumbfounded. All the researchers were dumbfounded.

’Just how many drinks has she had?’

’Is President Lin really that drunk?’

If Lin Ruoxi hadn’t just dealt with Tang Hancheng and the two moles, the crowd would have undoubtedly scoffed in her face.

Yu Dawei laughed awkwardly. ”President Lin, you must be joking. The production capacity for the Rejuvenation Pill is only a hundred units a month. How can our target market be all of Dongshan, let alone the entire Dragon Country? The wealthy elite in our Provincial City alone could buy up the entire stock! I strongly suggest you reconsider your strategy!”
