Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 347: Chapter 190: I Advise You to Be Kind (Third Update)

It’s not common for gossip about takeovers in the investment world to spread widely on Weibo, but its impact can be more explosive than a hundred trending topics.

All participants in the discussions are industry insiders, not those ”University of Keyboard Warriors” graduates on Weibo.

The first to leak this news was the Red Star Investment Club, the most renowned investment club in the Beijing circle and the most exclusive industry group chat.

The entry requirements are incredibly strict, not only must you be worth a certain amount, but you also need a group member to vouch for your character.

If you break the group’s rules, not only will you be kicked out, but your guarantor will also share responsibility and be kicked out as well.

Therefore, those who manage to join cherish this opportunity, and no one deliberately stirs up drama or spreads screenshots of the group chat.

The group is full of private equity moguls, executives from investment banks ranked top ten nationwide, and some low-key family fund operators.

Usually, everyone flaunts a bit, chat casually, exchanging the latest industry information.

For example, showcasing their newly acquired basketball club or their cultural heritage preservation projects.

This time AI Vision Promise suddenly jumped in to intercept Victory Wise, something like this is nothing new for these investment industry bigwigs.

Because for them, it’s just another daily occurrence.

So someone just casually threw a line in the group.

[Old Wang from Fame Capital]: Heard that this newly established small company AI Vision Promise also wants to learn from others and play the acquisition game?

Usually, people would just laugh and move on after seeing this sentence.

But today, it angered someone.

[Big Tiger from Antarctic Ventures]: Old Wang, I advise you to be kind. Everyone started small, why speak like this about others?

[Old Wang from Fame Capital]: Big Tiger, did you take some scolding medicine? I was just sighing, what’s your meaning with ’kind’? Did I say something wrong?

[Big Tiger from Antarctic Ventures]: You said they are a ’small company’ learning to play capital games, is that a good thing?

[Old Wang from Fame Capital]: Whatever, I said it, so what? Can they do it but others can’t talk about it? AI Vision Promise was established just a few months ago, and now they want to go against Spencer Group!

[Big Tiger from Antarctic Ventures]: Keep your mouth clean, Old Wang!

[Old Wang from Fame Capital]: I just ask, am I wrong! AI Vision Promise just got started, hasn’t achieved anything, and took a billion investment from SSA Private Equity—thinking they can propose a 2 billion acquisition of Wayford Intelligence! Isn’t this serving their face to Spencer Group for a beating?

At that moment, someone was confused.

[Zhongsheng Operator]: Wayford Intelligence? Is that the Wayford Intelligence that Victory Wise under Spencer Group wants a 1 billion acquisition of?

[Old Wang from Fame Capital]: Yes! Exactly that company, Victory Wise is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Spencer Group, even though it’s also newly established, it has Spencer Group’s full support making the acquisition of Wayford Intelligence a sure-thang! Unexpectedly intruded by AI Vision Promise! Wayford Intelligence’s boss is really cunning, actually starting to auction!

The operator from Foster Consortium popped up.

[The Foster Clan]: ... Is Old Wang looking down on our Foster Clan? With our Foster Clan as a guarantor, AI Vision Promise can acquire however they want. If someone was bidding to acquire your dog kennel, you’d also auction it up.

Fame Capital and Foster Consortium’s investment divisions are alike, both being from the investment banking F4, but Foster Consortium’s fund size is ten times that of Fame Capital.

The investment world is straightforward, yet brutal.

Basically, there’s no morality and no order.

Only one truth: Look at the money.

Whoever has more money speaks louder.

Of course, in professional terms, whoever manages more funds holds greater discourse power.

The investment industry ranks and divides by capital scale.

Therefore, when Foster Consortium steps in to rebut Fame Capital, Old Wang doesn’t dare to utter a word, and has to laugh along and agree with the slap.

But after he laughed, he was boiling with rage.

In a fit of anger, he took screenshots of their chat, censored them, and sent them to an executive in Spencer Group’s investment department.

Spencer Group’s primary business isn’t investment, though they have capital, they’re not even qualified to enter this group.

Hence when Spencer Group’s investment department executive saw the chat screenshots, and then the group name ”Red Star Investment Club,” he was scared witless.

He hurriedly forwarded the screenshots to Spencer Group’s CEO Justus Spencer, urgently leaving the message: Mr. Spencer, take a look at this... Is our acquisition going to fail?
