Chapter 1234: Chapter 532: It Was All Tzeentch’s Plot (2)

Tzeentch is the Lord of Change, the Grand Schemer - the Creator of the Universe’s Fate. He harbors immense delight in schemes and other political activities, and prefers cunning over strength, manipulation over violence. No plan of Tzeentch is ever simple, and indeed they frequently contradict themselves, for he desires only perpetual deceit and plot.

In Tzeentch’s view, mortal lives are deeply enmeshed in schemes and full of variables, living their daily lives without realizing how many flaws and contradictions dwell within their souls. Tzeentch cannot resist intervening in the mortal realm, sometimes as part of the grand competition to strike at his brother Evil Gods, but more often to satisfy his own needs to secretly manipulate, alter, and control. Tzeentch does not disdain dirtying his hands in noisy wars, though he prefers to win battles through cunning and destructive witchcraft rather than brute force.

Now, this Evil God is watching the conflicts of the Mortal World with great interest. The turbulent emotions of the Black Knight Mathew Bade have piqued this Evil God’s interest immensely, or rather, the changes occurring in Brittania over the years have provided this Evil God with a wealth of mental sustenance, gradually recovering from that initial accident.

Tzeentch loves change, he loves transformation. The reforms Laine brought to this country have provided Tzeentch with vast amounts of energy. Tzeentch doesn’t care if these changes are good or bad; for this Evil God, as long as there is change, Tzeentch can harvest a great deal of Subspace Energy from mortal emotions and turn it to his advantage.

Thus, when a unified nation is strong, Tzeentch always desires to destroy and split it, gaining enormous energy from the process. And when a divided nation is in chaos? Tzeentch instead tries to guide powerful mortals to unify it. Perhaps the unification of a mortal realm will form a formidable resistance against Chaos, but Tzeentch doesn’t care.

For as long as there is change, Tzeentch can gain energy.

The best way to oppose Tzeentch might be through eternal constancy, maintaining a state that deprives Tzeentch of any energy to absorb. Tzeentch indeed would be restricted by such conditions, but if so, his old rival, Father of Decay Nurgle, would benefit, for Nurgle loves perpetually unchanging affairs. Nurgle’s realm will balance constantly between decay and renewal. Mortals unchanged provide Nurgle with power.

In short, whatever mortals do, Tzeentch and Nurgle will always benefit in some way. Just as whether mortals continue to wage endless wars or cultivate peace, Khorne and Slaanesh will always gain. The very existence of the Chaos Four Gods is the antithesis of human emotions. As long as living beings exist, Chaos will never disappear.

This is why mortals need to believe in Deities, because when mortals fervently chant the names of their faiths, their emotional energy more abundantly flows to their worshiped Deities, thus avoiding giving too much sustenance to the Chaos Evil Gods.

If Laine’s guided reforms and tide of fanaticism direct most of the energy to the Lake Fairy, leaving Tzeentch unable to feast adequately, then the emotional fluctuations of the Black Knight Mathew Bade open a treasury of the mind for Tzeentch. The Lord of Change savors the enjoyment of Mathew Bade’s shifting from infinite despair to rising hope, finding amusement in these emotional transformations.

He knows, the plans he has brewed for many years are about to commence.

Everything is a scheme of Tzeentch, from a thousand years ago, when Landuin, one of the twelve original Holy Grail Knights, became a sacrificial pawn to Tzeentch’s conspiracy. The discord between Landuin and Sirulf was yet another successful experiment of Tzeentch’s scheme. The fallout between the two original Holy Grail Knights over territorial disputes and personal matters delighted Tzeentch beyond measure, leading to the degradation and corruption of Musillon.

Tzeentch watched everything from the shadows with satisfaction, feeling the enormous energy this land provided him. He manipulates fate, and the tragedy of Musillon was orchestrated by his hand.

Mad Duke Merovin followed, as did the Dor Tower incident.

Everything was a scheme of Tzeentch.

Now, these schemes have come to fruition. Unbeknownst to Mathew Bade, the Black Knight’s mind and body have succumbed to Tzeentch’s corruption. His countless seemingly brilliant ideas were gifts from the Evil God. Tzeentch insidiously corrupts the viper of Musillon, all while having its own agenda.

There is nothing Chaos cannot corrupt.

Tzeentch wants to reclaim Landuin’s Duke of Musillon’s Crown and his Cavalry Lance, the Unbreakable Lake Light, located in Musillon. These two Holy Artifacts have accumulated energy over a millennium, while also seizing all the Holy Relics of the twelve original Holy Grail Knights – the twelve Cavalry Lances bestowed by the Lake Fairy.

”Carlos,” the Master of Destiny called to his side.

A Chaos Great Demon responded in a low voice, its appearance exceptionally aged, hunched and withered, its once large wings now shrunk to short stumps. Its two heads drooped continuously, and upon hearing its master’s topic, it immediately stepped forward.

It was the foremost Chaos Great Demon under Tzeentch, Carlos, the Fate Weaver.

”This time it’s up to you,” Tzeentch’s voice was full of interest and playful tones: ”Don’t disappoint your master!”

”I will send the strongest Tzeentch’s Demon Army - the Eternal Legion - to you!”

”I understand, Master.”
