Chapter 1210: Chapter 523: Who Approves? Who Opposes? (Part 3)

”Oh, Glarni above!” King Belgar widened his mouth as he watched this scene: ”This is... the most severe punishment. I can’t imagine if I turned into such a creature, living my whole life in swamps and ponds, surviving by eating bugs, what a disaster that would be?”

”Let’s not talk about this now, King Belgar, we thank you for your contribution. Without your help, we couldn’t have taken this castle so easily.” Laine deliberately changed the topic, thinking that Mogiana’s punishment was indeed heavy. However, those humans who submitted to the undead weren’t worthy of sympathy, at least those knightly nobles in Musillon who bowed to the undead for continued rule weren’t deserving.

”Oh, Laine brother, remember the dwarves did you a big favor!” Speaking of the dwarves’ contribution in this battle, Belgar immediately puffed out his chest proudly: ”Without us, you couldn’t have taken this castle.”

”That’s right, without King Belgar and the dwarf brothers’ help, we wouldn’t have taken the Sharp-Top Palace.” Laine nodded, but his face showed no ease: ”But this is just the beginning; we must repel the counterattack from Musillon.”

”Fidmund!”

”Present!”

”Strengthen the castle defenses with your men; be sure to coordinate the defense before Mathew Bade leads the Undead Army to counterattack!”

”Yes!”

”Jerald, immediately organize the soldiers to transport as much supply and various materials into the castle as possible.”

”Yes!”

Fidmund and Jerald went down.

”Mr. Dugen, quickly find a way to position various artillery on the walls.” Laine then instructed his Dwarf Engineer: ”We need artillery to help us defend the castle.”

”My Count, mounting artillery on the walls takes time; we can’t move the cannons up there, only hoist them up,” Dugen the Ironman pointed out the difficulty: ”How much time can you give us?”

”Not much time,” Laine shook his head sharply: ”At most a day and a half, then the Undead Vanguard from Musillon will be at the castle.”

”But...” Dugen still wanted to say something, but Laine interrupted him with a gesture: ”Remember our previous preparations?”

”Oh! I understand!” The Dwarf Engineer suddenly seemed to recall something, happily patting his belly: ”No problem, leave it to me.”

Laine assigned tasks one by one, and throughout the process, Mogiana watched quietly from the sidelines. After Laine finished organizing everything, she finally spoke: ”Laine, I felt the power of the Potion Chalice! It’s somewhere in this castle!”

”Did Manfred hide the Potion Chalice in the Sharp-Top Palace?” Laine’s eyes turned.

”My feelings won’t be wrong,” Mogiana was very certain about this.

”Alright, let’s go find it.” Laine stood up.

As the two headed towards the master bedroom at the rooftop of the Sharp-Top Palace, the Lake God Witch hesitated for a moment but decided to tell Laine about some matters: ”Laine, the Lady just conveyed an oracle to me.”

”What instructions does the Lady have?” Laine’s reaction suggested he wondered if the Lake Fairy had another request.

”The Lady wants me to inform you that your eldest son has been born.” Mogiana shook her head, with a slight hint of envy and complaint on her face.

”The Duchess of Nuer, Brescia Prince-Elector, Duchess of Weisen, Emmanuelle von Lebewitz-Bernardino, delivered a healthy male infant a few days ago in the Black Tower of Nuer, who could speak at birth. The entire sky turned azure blue at his birth.”

”The War Goddess Milmedia personally descended to the Mortal World and publicly blessed this baby. Milmedia announced she would be this baby’s Guardian God, prophesying that he will become an extraordinary human hero in the future!”

”The baby was named Frederick Macado von Lebewitz-Bernardino.”
